Senior Project Engineering Manager

Summary: Location: Schenectady, NY
- Can work Full Remote Must be EST Hours Duration: 12 Months Travel: Approx.
1 week per month within U.S., Latin America, and globally Hours: 40 hours/week, no overtime rate Responsibilities: Execute engineering portion of OTR contracts with Balance of Plant (BOP) scope Manage project control activity globally, ensuring consistent functional specifications and processes Serve as technical leader to develop scope of work, plan schedule, and monitor engineering activities Provide technical leadership and interface with various stakeholders including Proposal Management, Cost Estimating, and Customers Own engineering execution of BOP-scoped projects from contract signature to completion Manage cross-functional engineering team to address contract risks and opportunities Provide technical guidance and assistance to Project Management and internal engineering teams Review Customer specifications and communicate project requirements Evaluate financial/schedule impact of Customer requested scope changes Provide technical support to ensure equipment meets Customer requirements and business objectives Enforce quality procedures and participate in improvements Capture issues for experience feedback (Lessons Learned) Requirements: Bachelor's or higher degree in Engineering or related STEM program Minimum of 6 years of related industry experience with increasing responsibilities Required Skills: Strong interpersonal and leadership skills Ability to lead programs/projects Documenting, planning, marketing, and executing programs Creativity and problem-solving capability Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously Excellent oral and written communication skills Motivated and able to motivate others Continuous improvement mindset Customer interface experience Preferred Skills: Technical superior training with experience in project/team management in energy or transverse teams Knowledge of Mechanical & electrical codes and compliance Knowledge of Turbo machinery, generator, electrical, controls, and/or Power Plant Accessory systems Expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, or Process disciplines
