Overview
The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility for a group of patients for a designated time frame and provides care to these patients via the utilization of the nursing process, nursing trends, technology, financial and human resources within the philosophy of the institution. The Carle Cath Lab performs many exciting and innovative procedures including, but not limited to: Diagnostic Cardiac Cath, PTCA interventions, TAVR, Left Atrial Appendage Closure, MitraClip, as well as peripheral vascular procedures including Peripheral Angiography, Peripheral PTA. Staff are responsible for collaborating with physicians and members of the Prep/Recovery and Procedure Lab staff to facilitate excellent patient care. The HVI offers several unique opportunities for personal and professional growth, flexible staffing options (i.e. cross-training, job sharing, minimal on-call shifts), HVI MD Lecture series (which includes free CEUs for staff), mentoring program (to support new hires and transfers), and educational events with various HVI equipment and procedural training (i.e. Shockwave, CoroFlow, Structural Heart Program).

Responsibilities
Evaluate and enhance your own nursing practice by utilizing the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses, and Scope and Standards of Practice to provide 1:1 patient care to adult patients undergoing a variety of diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures. Completes initial assessment upon patient admission and develops appropriate plan of care in accordance with unit standards and that is based on patient and family needs. Implements plan of care, nursing interventions, and patient care procedures. Modifies plan of care based upon continuous evaluation. Administer moderate sedation and other medications in a safe manner by following Carle Policies. Communicates with others directly and in private when necessary to resolve issues. Offers constructive feedback to assist in the professional development of peers, and confers with colleagues to expand knowledge base. Identifies own learning needs and takes initiative to begin appropriate solution. Perform hemodynamic monitoring, identify potential life-threatening arrhythmias, and implement appropriate clinical treatment. Collaborate with patients and families to answer questions and provide emotional support when needed. Enhance patient care activities and act as a safety advocate through participation in ongoing department quality improvement and evidence-based practice projects. Coordinate safe care delivery through effective communication with the multi-disciplinary team. Recognize and adapt to potential changes in procedures while responding to emergent situations. Participate in a fun, supportive, collaborative environment while working as part of a cohesive 3-4 staff team, comprised of Registered Nurses and Radiology Technologists. Fulfills all requirements of departmental competencies. Administers medications necessary for procedure. Manages care of patients during moderate sedation. Monitors hemodynamics throughout procedure. Position Highlights: R6 Oncology
- Number of beds on unit: 16
- Patient population (age, diagnosis, specifics about unit): The Oncology Unit is a 16-bed unit specializing in the care of acutely ill Oncology/Hematology patients, with diagnosis-related to acute and/or chronic illnesses, including but not limited to Oncology/hematology diseases. The unit also takes low acuity medical/ surgical patients as needed.
- Nurse to Patient ratio: 1:4-6
- Department culture and resources: The Oncology unit is a fast-pace, team-oriented unit. We work closely with our physician partners and ancillary team members to achieve the best outcomes for our patients. We have a robust Partnership Committee that meets monthly. We have a unit-based educator, 2 nurse supervisors and charge nurses.

We are a lean and high velocity multifamily investment firm with 440 units and a mandate to scale to 1,500+ units by 2027 on our path to $1 Billion AUM in the next 5 years. We operate with a startup culture backed by a strong principal balance sheet, and we will maintain this "Day 1" intensity until our $1 Billion goal is reached. We are looking for a Founding Director of Finance and Investments who is prepared to make the business their number one priority and own the entire financial lifecycle of our portfolio.
This is a true "multi-hat" leadership role, You will be responsible for building and owning the engine across three phases: Acquisitions, where you will be responsible for sourcing and underwriting new opportunities Finance, where you institutionalize the back-end through precise cash flow forecasting, investor distributions, and tax strategy; and Asset Management, where you hold the portfolio accountable to your forecasts by implementing aggressive execution plans to ensure every property hits its NOI targets. We are looking for a partner who wants to trade corporate safety for long-term equity and help us build this platform from the ground up.
