Operations Engineer

As an Operations Engineer, you will be the heartbeat of schedule execution for Castelion's hypersonic weapons development. You will architect and maintain integrated master schedules that span concept design, engineering development, hardware production, flight test, and operational deployment. Working across engineering, manufacturing, and government-program stakeholders, you will keep aggressive timelines on track and ensure that every milestone is grounded in technical reality.

This role demands a strategic thinker who is equally comfortable with hands-on execution and thrives in a dynamic startup environment. This person can bring order to complexity while supporting multiple high-stakes government programs.

Responsibilities

• Integrated Master Scheduling: Build and maintain end-to-end schedules from early design through full-rate production and fielding of hypersonic weapon systems.
• Critical Path Management: Identify dependencies, risks, and recovery options to keep programs aligned with contractual commitments and customer milestones.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner with engineering leads, program managers, and operations teams to ensure schedule accuracy and timely updates.
• Data-Driven Insights: Develop tools, dashboards, and reports that provide real-time visibility to leadership and government customers.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in engineering, operations management, business, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in project planning, integrated master scheduling, or operations engineering.
• Proficiency with Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Primavera, or comparable scheduling tools.
• Strong grasp of critical-path analysis, risk assessment, and work breakdown structures.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail and clear written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience with first-of-a-kind engineering projects or defense hardware production.
• Familiarity with hypersonic or missile-system development life cycles.
• Background in government acquisition programs and contractual reporting (e.g., CDRLs, IMS).

Manager – Art Direction, Brand Studio

As Manager - Art Direction, Brand Studio, you own the day-to-day design leadership and creative execution that brings Castelion's brand to life across campaigns, systems, and key touchpoints. You'll translate brand strategy set by senior leadership into practical, repeatable, high-quality design solutions that work across digital, print, recruiting, events, and built environments.

This is a hands-on role that blends making and leading. You will design, art direct, and build the infrastructure, including templates, libraries, playbooks, and workflows that enable high-quality, on-brand work at scale. You will collaborate closely with Marketing & Communications, Business Development and Capture, HR, and Engineering to turn complex technical and mission stories into clear, compelling visual narratives.

Responsibilities

Brand systems and visual identity

• Evolve and maintain Castelion's visual identity system (logo usage, color, typography, imagery, layout, motion guidelines) so it works across internal and external channels.
• Translate brand and visual principles into clear standards, toolkits, and documentation that non-designers can actually use.
• Build and maintain centralized component and asset libraries in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud, with naming conventions, versioning, and usage guidance.

Campaigns, launches, and flagship stories

• Lead art direction for integrated campaigns, product and capability launches, customer and investor narratives, recruiting initiatives, conferences, and major announcements.
• Drive cohesive creative across channels, including web and digital assets, social visuals, print collateral, video storyboards, event graphics and activations so everything feels unmistakably Castelion.
• Turn complex, often technical subject matter into intuitive visual hierarchies, diagrams, and stories that resonate with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Brand asset ecosystem and tools

• Design and maintain modular templates and reusable assets for presentations, one-pagers, briefs, case studies, recruiting collateral, event kits, and internal communications.
• Architect a navigable, well-organized asset library that speeds up delivery for Marketing, BD, and Recruiting.
• Continuously refine tools and templates based on adoption, feedback, and emerging needs.

Cross-functional creative partnership

• Partner with Marketing & Communications on brand campaigns, brand strategy, content, social, and executive communications.
• Partner with Business Development and Capture on pursuit storytelling, proposal design, customer demos, and conference presence.
• Partner with HR on candidate-facing materials, recruiting campaigns, onboarding experiences, and employer brand assets.
• Partner with Facilities and Engineering to ensure physical spaces, hardware displays, and signage reflect Castelion's visual standards.
• Facilitate working sessions that help teams articulate objectives and translate them into creative briefs, concepts, and visual narratives.

Team leadership and studio operations

• Provide day-to-day direction, feedback, and mentorship for graphic artist to help grow their craft, speed, and judgment.
• Establish clear intake, scoping, prioritization, and review workflows so the Brand Studio stays focused on the highest-impact work while still handling urgent needs.
• Set and uphold quality standards for all visual output, ensuring work is on-brief, on-time, on-brand, and appropriate for our customers and mission.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in visual design, brand systems, art direction, or closely related roles, with a portfolio that shows strong visual storytelling, systems thinking, and multi-format execution.
• Demonstrated experience owning or evolving a visual identity system and building reusable design infrastructure (templates, libraries, guidelines) that others rely on.
• Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) with excellent layout, typography, and information design skills.
• Experience collaborating directly with cross-functional partners such as marketing, communications, business development, engineering, and HR/People.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; comfortable explaining design rationale, giving and receiving feedback, and influencing decisions with non-design stakeholders.

Preferred Skills and Experience

Automation and Controls Engineer

The Automation and Controls Engineer will design, build, and commission robust manufacturing systems for production of hypersonic-flight components.

Success requires a practical application of engineering principles to design, build, test, and commission process hardware, integrate new technologies into our production line, and integrate process equipment and technologies within our production line. We are seeking a hands-on problem solver with strong expertise in electro-mechanical system design and automation systems, as well as experience working with machinery and production environments.

The key to excelling in this position is the effective application of mechanical, electrical, and control systems expertise to enable our manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, customize, and test hardware and control systems for integration into composite manufacturing equipment balancing process requirements, cost and leadtime considerations.
• Partner with mechanical, materials, and manufacturing engineering teams to align on hardware requirements and design solutions.
• Mature manufacturing processes via the implementation of process control systems and procedures to ensure production consistency and reliability.

Job Summary

The Production Manager is a key member of the Torrance plant's Leadership Team. The responsibilities include overall production management of a high-volume automotive chemicals and consumer products manufacturing plant. Ideal candidate is a demonstrated leader, and has proven success meeting and/ or exceeding production goals. This position oversees production of 4 liquid filling lines and a blow molding line that manufactures bottles from less than one gallon up to drums and totes. This role is responsible for achieving adherence of daily packaging line schedule, including production line standard rates, labor efficiencies, product quality, overall Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP/Housekeeping) and employee safety. Additional accountabilities for this role are shift’s overall preparation to run, including coordination of line mechanical set-ups, product supply and material supply from leads and warehousing that meets scheduled line start-up. This individual MUST be outgoing, entrepreneurial, a self starter, and technically talented with strong leadership skills and abilities. Strengths must include communication, coaching, and mentoring skills, and the ability to promote enhanced employee relations and reports to the Plant Manager.

This position requires fully on-site work at our Torrance, California Plant work to cover multiple production shifts. The expected compensation for this position is an annual salary of $108,000-$118,000 depending on experience and qualifications and is bonus eligible.

Day to Day Accountabilities

• Oversees activities of production lines to achieve production rates that meet or exceed standards (including efficient changeovers)
• Responsible for the training and performance management of team members to ensure that each line is staffed with qualified and motivated individuals
• Ensure the identification of product quality problems and implementation of corrective actions
• Utilize theory of constraints or lean manufacturing techniques to evaluate and manage production counts, machine speeds, scrap and downtime to drive reliability to desired levels

The Heavy Civil Project Manager (PM) plays a dual role in Balfour Beatty by overseeing projects from the pursuit proposal stage through construction completion. • Lead supplier development activities in collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and strategic sourcing to ensure suppliers are capable of meeting quality, technical, and schedule requirements for development and production programs.
• Evaluate, qualify, and approve suppliers based on quality systems, technical capability, reliability, risk, and cost, building a resilient and scalable supplier base to support Castelion’s rapid development and production cadence.
• Define and manage supplier quality requirements, including audits, qualifications, AS9102 FAIRs, certifications, and ongoing compliance to aerospace and company standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive supplier performance improvements in quality, delivery, cost, and service while identifying and mitigating supply chain and compliance risks.
• Support contract reviews and negotiations by ensuring quality, technical, and regulatory requirements are clearly defined, achievable, and enforceable with suppliers.
• Facilitate design-for-manufacturability and design-for-quality reviews with engineering and suppliers to proactively reduce risk and improve producibility.
• Partner with engineering and operations to address nonconforming material, supplier escapes, and rejected hardware through root cause analysis and corrective action, with a focus on prevention and continuous improvement.
• Establish and maintain supplier performance metrics, reporting regularly to stakeholders on quality trends, risks, and critical issues.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships through regular engagement, performance reviews, and development plans.
• Ensure supplier compliance with company policies, quality management systems, and applicable customer, industry, and government regulations.

Basic Qualifications

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Technical Proficiency: 6+ years of experience working in a related field, program, or project

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Aerospace Quality Systems: Experience operating within AS9100-compliant environments, including supplier qualification, audits, AS9102 FAIRs, corrective actions, and ongoing supplier compliance.
• Manufacturing & Technical Expertise: Broad knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes and suppliers, including machined parts, composites, chemicals, and avionics and their relevant specifications, typical customer requirements, and certifications.
• Supplier Development & Analytics: Strong root cause and corrective action capability using structured problem-solving methods (e.g., 8D, Six Sigma, Lean), supported by data-driven analysis in Excel, SQL, or similar tools.
• Business & Quality Systems: Familiarity with ERP, MRP, and Quality Management Systems to manage supplier data, nonconformances, and documentation accuracy.
• Security Clearance: Active U.S. Government security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
