Position Summary:
The Assistant Project Manager shall oversee the total construction effort to ensure projects are safely constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule. This includes interfacing with client representatives, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Responsibilities:
- Comply with (and actively promote) all Safety policies and procedures including reporting all accidents, incidents and near-misses to ensure adherence to our Number One Core Value – Safety first, in everything we do.
- Review project features with the Estimating Department.
- Work with the Project Engineer and Superintendent to develop and maintain a project schedule with the appropriate attributes.
- Submit preliminary paperwork such as submittals, introductory letters, subcontractor approvals, lump sum breakdowns of work items, affirmative action documents, etc.
- Develop a submittal log, a project organization chart, and a material storage plan.
- Initiate project startup and closeout sheet and submit a copy to the construction department and set up and maintain project files.
- Required to sign off on the budget prior to the start of construction.
- Responsible for all aspects of cost management for the project.
- Submit a quarterly cost revision with an explanation of any cost variance.
- Submit change order logs to the regional office monthly.
- Coordinate and direct all project activities with the Project Superintendent/General Superintendent to ensure that all milestones are met and job continuity is maintained.
- Conduct weekly meetings.
- Prepare and review periodic estimates with the owner's representative/Resident Engineer and submit an approved original estimate or pencil sheet copy to the regional office with the appropriate subcontractor quantity split.
- Attend final punch list inspection and/or closeout meeting and complete final documents.
- Maintain contact with the project Owner and Architect/Engineer to obtain reduction of retainage and final payment and close out jobsite office.
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Civil Engineering major or construction related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of successful and progressive experience in the civil construction field.
- Experienced in budget management, schedule, quality control, and knowledge of all phases of construction.
- OSHA 10 Certified.

About the Role:
The Facilities & Projects Engineer is responsible for leading and executing facility engineering and capital improvement projects that support safe, efficient, and compliant operations. Specifically, this role will manage the expansion of Circular’s Anaerobic Digestion and food recycling facility in Southington, CT. This role manages projects from early concepts and design through construction, commissioning, and close-out. They will work closely with operations, consultants, contractors, and vendors. The position plays a key role in maintaining and improving industrial infrastructure while supporting Circular Services’ sustainability and operational goals.
Responsibilities:
- Lead facility engineering and capital improvement projects, including scoping, planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution
- Manage projects from concept, design, and permitting through construction and commissioning
- Oversee mechanical and electrical equipment installations, upgrades, and infrastructure improvements
- Coordinate closely with operations teams, consulting engineers, contractors, and equipment vendors to ensure project alignment and execution
- Review bids, proposals, and cost estimates for construction and engineering services
- Identify project risks, troubleshoot technical and schedule issues, and implement corrective actions

Powder Coat Specialist Responsibilities
- Load parts onto conveyor line and ensure proper preparation for paint/powder coating (tape, plug, bond, etc.).
- Ensure parts are clean and dry before entering the paint/powder coat spray booth.
- Unload parts from the conveyor line and ensure 100% quality of all parts.
- Ensure that all parts are delivered in a manner that prevents damage or defects and with proper paperwork.
- Follow and adhere to the rework policies when handling defective parts from final customer or internal production.
- Must be able to effectively use area tools and equipment, such as forklifts, drill press, power drills, air tools, hand grinders/orbital tools, pressure washers, etc.
- Deburr, grind and clean sheet metal parts that require touch-up or rework.
- Ability to make necessary adjustments to cleaning solutions of parts wash line.
- Assist in paint color changeovers at the spray booths.
- Perform routine checks following the standard processes in the powder coat area.
- Read and understand blueprints and written specifications (also in metric system).
- Must have ability to stand for extended periods of time, bend and lift up to 70 lbs.
- Support and perform 5S and preventive maintenance activities to maintain area equipment and environment.

Experience/Education
- Previous experience in an industrial/ manufacturing environment and/or powder coating area is preferred.

- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

OVERVIEW OF POSITION:
The mission of the Maintenance Manager is to manage maintenance functions for a facility. Areas included are building utility systems, equipment maintenance and building and grounds maintenance. Ensures that maintenance department objectives are met including project, cost, quality and safety factors.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION:
- Leads the Maintenance team to ensure efficient and effective support for Production and the facility, including:
-Support in training of Maintenance personnel.
-Assists and guides Maintenance personnel as needed.
-Is responsible for the safety and good housekeeping work habits of all Maintenance personnel.
-Assigns priorities and work to Maintenance personnel.
-Participates in Maintenance personnel evaluations.
-Order supplies according to business needs within limits.
-Oversees and coordinates Maintenance projects.
- Ensures that maintenance department objectives are met including project, cost, quality and safety factors.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining PM program for the company.
- Is on call to come to work during off shift hours to help in emergency situations.
- Attend and participate in training opportunities and seminars relevant to this position.
- Foster a of continuous improvement environment with clearly defined objectives and plans.
- Provide continued support to meet the objectives.
- Responsible for the annual EPA reporting and corresponding regular system checks.
- Support in Capital requests as needed.
- Makes sure that all work is performed according to Local, State and Federal Government rules and regulations.
- Ensures that outside contractors perform as specified on the contracts and follow all Habasit rules and regulations.
- Areas included, but are not limited to, are building utility systems, equipment maintenance and building and grounds maintenance.
- Any other duties as assigned.
