Powder Coat Specialist Responsibilities

  • Load parts onto conveyor line and ensure proper preparation for paint/powder coating (tape, plug, bond, etc.).
  • Ensure parts are clean and dry before entering the paint/powder coat spray booth.
  • Unload parts from the conveyor line and ensure 100% quality of all parts.
  • Ensure that all parts are delivered in a manner that prevents damage or defects and with proper paperwork.
  • Follow and adhere to the rework policies when handling defective parts from final customer or internal production.
  • Must be able to effectively use area tools and equipment, such as forklifts, drill press, power drills, air tools, hand grinders/orbital tools, pressure washers, etc.
  • Deburr, grind and clean sheet metal parts that require touch-up or rework.
  • Ability to make necessary adjustments to cleaning solutions of parts wash line.
  • Assist in paint color changeovers at the spray booths.
  • Perform routine checks following the standard processes in the powder coat area.
  • Read and understand blueprints and written specifications (also in metric system).
  • Must have ability to stand for extended periods of time, bend and lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Support and perform 5S and preventive maintenance activities to maintain area equipment and environment.

Experience/Education

Position Summary:


Serves as the Engineer-In-Charge (“EIC”) managing and conducting investigations involving residential, commercial, and industrial buildings, structures, and structural components including roofing, fenestration, foundations and building envelopes. Performs structural analysis, hazard and damage assessments, lab and field testing of construction materials, design and construction defect evaluations, and premise liability evaluations. Must be a licensed professional engineer with a thorough understanding of fundamental engineering principles along with a firm understanding of applicable local, state, and federal building codes and standards, including but not limited to, the American Concrete Institute (“ACI”), American Institute of Steel Construction (“AISC”), American Society of Civil Engineers (“ASCE”), and the International Building Code (“IBC”). Primary Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Working independently, while ensuring the timely and cost-effective execution of assigned cases;
  • Serving as the primary point of contact with clients including development and coordination of case budgets, work orders, site visits, cost estimates, and associated deliverables. Maintaining contact with clients on active cases to provide status updates, including case spend and budget status, and address questions, needs, or concerns at least every other week, or as otherwise agreed upon;
  • Assisting with the development and ongoing updates to the scopes of work associated with assigned cases, as necessary;
  • Making independent decisions for assigned cases, including the selection of applicable analysis and testing methodologies and identification and selection of resources relevant to execution of the established scope of work;

  • Preparation of forensic reports clearly detailing the observations made, documentation and data collected, testing results, applicable research conducted, and the associated conclusions, with a goal to issue reports within ten (10) business days following the completion of the site exam unless otherwise agreed-to by client;
  • Providing technical support and testifying as an expert witness in depositions and court proceedings, as necessary;
  • Collaborating with clients, colleagues, attorneys and other industry professionals, as necessary;
  • Maintaining weekly updates to case status reports and working with the Regional Engineering Manager and Chief Engineer to address any issues with clients or your assigned cases;
  • Conducting research and keeping current with industry best practices and emerging technologies;
  • Developing technical topics for publication, industry presentations, and both internal and external training and continuing education development;
  • Supporting EDT’s marketing and business development resources including occasionally participating in client-relations meetings, attending industry conferences, preparing marketing and technical presentations, assisting with the development of marketing materials, preparing industry blogs and white papers, and engaging with other industry professionals;
  • Participating in EDT’s mentorship program and supporting the training and development of new engineers in conjunction with the Chief Engineer and assigned Training Coordinator;

The Team

The MassMutual Enterprise Architecture team in the Enterprise Technology and Experience organization is seeking an outstanding Enterprise Architect (Application) to join our team. Enterprise Architecture is composed of Business, Application, Technology & Design and Security architecture domains. Joining this team will give the Application EA a unique perspective and opportunity to partner with best-in-class architects on enterprise wide technology initiatives.

The Impact:

This role will work with Corporate Technology Finance & Investment Management line of business delivery teams, engineers, application operations, product managers, and enterprise stakeholders to help deliver innovative, data-driven systems aimed at transforming the insurance industry. As part of the application architecture team, incumbents may be responsible for any of the following:

  • Technical evaluations and benchmarking of core application platforms, frameworks and technologies
  • Specification and publication of standards around application design and software engineering best practices
  • Thought leadership and active participation in conferences and research with strategic partners and academic institutions
  • Partner with senior leaders to develop and maintain the Technology strategies & roadmap
  • Partner with business executives and senior architects to identify data and process issues, then provide solution options and recommends options

The Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related Technical degree
  • 8+ years of related IT Solutions Architecture or Technical Lead experience

The Ideal Qualifications

  • 10+ years of related IT Architecture or IT consulting experience
  • 5 years of Investment Management and/or Finance experience
  • Emerging Technologies in Investment Management including AI/ML
  • Experience with IM Platforms: Eagle, Aladdin, Calypso, Murex or similar
  • Experience in data management platform design and integrations, ABOR/IBOR data layer, data modeling for IM domain, data framework adoption, mastering solution design.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, influencing and reasoning skills
  • A team-focused mentality with proven ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on the ability to effectively influence others, collaborate and partner.
  • Understanding of the impact of IT on business results
  • Demonstrated experience using Architecture Methodology (TOGAF, Archimate)

The Opportunity

You will join the Core Data Platform team, which builds and maintains a suite of tools powering over 2,100 data pipelines in production across MassMutual. As a Software Build Engineer, you'll manage the cloud infrastructure that supports this platform in a fast-paced, innovative, and collaborative environment. The Team

You'll be a key part of our esteemed Core Data Platform team, focused on enabling and accelerating the delivery of new data pipelines and products. You'll help support a thriving user community of over 12 data engineering teams, located both on-shore and off-shore. We regularly collaborate to establish enterprise strategy, working closely with architecture, governance, and enterprise infrastructure teams.

The Impact

  • Design, develop, and improve build and deployment standards and processes (e.g., CI/CD, orchestration, scheduling) to accelerate delivery and ensure reliability of data pipelines.
  • Develop and maintain core infrastructure to deliver scalable, robust, and highly available systems, directly supporting 12+ data engineering teams.
