Surface Warfare Officers (SWOs) are involved in virtually every aspect of Navy missions. As a SWO, you may be in charge of any number of shipboard operations and activities while at sea, working with or within any of these specialized forces:
Aircraft Carrier Forces: Provide and coordinate air, submarine and surface ship defense for aircraft carriers.
Cruiser-Destroyer Forces: Provide ship attack and defensive measures with a wide array of missile and fire power capabilities, providing anti-air, -submarine and -surface warfare support.
Amphibious Forces: Embark and transport vehicles, equipment and personnel for amphibious assault operations.
Combat-Logistics Forces: Provide combatant ships with fuel, ammunition, food and supplies, and provide repair, maintenance and rescue capabilities through Fleet Support Ships.
Mine Warfare Forces: Detect, identify and neutralize threats from hostile use of maritime mines.

Work Environment

Training & Advancement

Electrical Superintendent (Industrial & Infrastructure)

Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Superintendent to lead on-site field operations for large-scale industrial and infrastructure projects across Texas. You will be the primary authority for ensuring that all electrical installations—from underground duct banks to complex instrumentation—are executed safely, on schedule, and in strict compliance with the NEC and Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation (TDLR) standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Direct and mentor field crews (Foremen, Journeymen, and Apprentices) to hit productivity targets.
- Project Execution: Manage the layout and installation of complex underground conduits and duct banks, including trenching and concrete encasement.
- High-Spec Installations: Oversee the bending and fitting of rigid metal conduit (RMC) and the installation and termination of medium voltage cables (5kV–35kV).
- Technical Validation: Supervise the calibration and programming of industrial instrumentation and ensure all fiber optic terminations and testing (OTDR) meet project specs.
- Safety Mastery: Lead daily safety meetings and enforce 100% compliance with OSHA and NFPA 70E (Arc Flash) safety protocols.
- Planning: Develop 3-week look-ahead schedules and coordinate material procurement via Procore or similar project management tools.
Required Qualifications

Position Summary
We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead and manage a federal Audiovisual (AV) and Video Teleconferencing (VTC) system integration project in Austin, Texas in support of a federal agency. This individual will be responsible for full lifecycle execution of a turnkey audiovisual and Microsoft Teams-enabled conference room solution across seven (7) conference andtraining rooms, including planning, coordination, oversight installation, configuration, testing, training, and warranty transition.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead execution of federal construction contracts from Notice to Proceed through final acceptance.
- Serve as primary interface with federal Contracting Officers (COs), Contracting Officer Representatives (CORs), inspectors, and stakeholders.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, subcontractor performance, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Davis-Bacon Act requirements, EM 385-1-1, OSHA standards, and agency-specific construction criteria.
- Oversee quality control programs and ensure documentation meets federal standards.
- Review and manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, progress payments, and contract modifications.
- Conduct site inspections and lead project status meetings.
- Maintain disciplined reporting and documentation practices consistent with OMG operational standards.
- Ensure successful project closeout, including punch list completion and final documentation submission.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum five (5) years of construction project management experience, including direct management of federal government construction projects (USACE, NAVFAC, GSA, VA, DoD, DHS, or similar agencies).
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related construction discipline.
- The role requires demonstrated experience managing federal AV/technology infrastructure installations in occupied facilities, ensuring adherence to contract requirements, schedule milestones, technical specifications, and quality control standards.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects under federal safety, quality, and labor compliance standards.
- Proven ability to manage subcontractors, budgets, and schedules in a federal contracting environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience delivering projects under Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build methodologies.
- OSHA 30 certification.
- Experience with Primavera P6, MS Project, Procore, or RMS.
- Knowledge of certified payroll and Davis-Bacon compliance requirements.
- Experience supporting tribal, 8(a), or small business federal contracts.
