We are currently looking for a BIM Technician to be based out of Tampa, FL reporting to the Drafting Manager. This person will be responsible for working with the project team to develop accurate and complete modeling drawing sets. The BIM Technician will ensure the integrity of project drawings while maintaining privileged information per the customer and company requirements.

What you'll do:

• Accurately identify product specifications and understand of detail assemblies and their application for installation.
  
• Create or revise/update construction drawings, maintaining a tracking log of drawings.
  
• Review drawings for accuracy and scope of work, ensuring quality of final drawings.
  
• Collaborate with team and customers to ensure that projects are successfully completed, and best practices/technical issues are addressed.
  
• Run the multi trade coordination for clashes to assist project team with the design process.
  
• Conduct clash detection and visual walkthroughs using Navisworks Manage.
  
• Research ways to continuously improve our process including providing insight into new time saving methodologies and best practices.
  
• Manage, maintain, and update BIM Project documents.
  

What you'll bring:

• Bachelor's (preferred) or Associates Degree in Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) related field with 1 to 3 years of industry experience.
  
• 1+ years' experience in 3D Revit or 3D AutoCAD.
  
• Technical certificates in Drafting and ED BIM Modeling training (preferred).
  
• Experience with Autodesk Revit, CAD, and BIM procedures (Preferred).
  
• Familiarity with Overhead coordination process including 3D Modeling utilizing Revit in project environment, Project As-builts and turnover for Facility management.
  
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, CAD and BIM systems including Autodesk AutoCAD, Revit Suite, BIM 360, Veo, Bluebeam, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  

Within 3 months, you'll:

• 
  
• Complete the onboarding material and training on companies' products and drafting processes.
  
• Collecting information from multiple plans and incorporating them into a model which can be used to build structural support.
  
• Produce 2D shop drawings and 3D models projects with assistance of PM and BIM Designer.
  
• Complete Atkore Immersion process.
  

Within 6 months, you'll:

• 
  
• Communicate effectively with PM's and other team members in order to gather the information needed for each project.
  
• Develop strong knowledge of the companies' products and produce accurate designs based on each project needs.
  
• Assist with BIM Designer to coordination meeting and be part of BIM project development at different phases: modeling, cleaning clashes and producing shop drawings.
  

Within 12 months, you'll:

• 
  
• Produce structural models and drawings using Revit and manage coordination projects.
  
• Manipulate and develop CAD library components for AutoCAD and Revit or other related software.
  
• Independently handle BIM project from start to finish by assisting to BIM Coordination, performing clash detection, and resolving coordination issues.

Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician

The Electro-Mechanic Technician performs project management duties, maintenance and repairs of all pneumatic machines and line equipment.

Shift & Schedule: This is a full time position on our 2nd shift working 1:30pm to 10:00pm. Monday-Friday.Flexibility to work overtime, weekends and holidays as scheduled is required.

Position Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, plan, & perform all operations necessary to install, modify, troubleshoot, repair, overhaul, rebuild, & dismantle various types of complex manufacturing & support equipment with special focus on advanced troubleshooting on control systems, servo drives, motors, HMIs, & PLCs on complex high speed packaging lines
• Perform preventive maintenance & other proactive activities to monitor & maintain equipment condition
• Troubleshoot and repair of Pneumatic Control Systems, Allen Bradley PLC Systems, RSLinx, Process Control Instrumentation, 3 phase (480V) Circuits, Motor starters and controls
• Coordinate with other technicians, production personnel, engineering, management, & other stakeholders to communicate & plan maintenance activities
• Will provide support and substitute for EMT Lead on driving production goals; this includes training, coaching, and filling in for Machine Operators as needed
• Coordinate with equipment/service vendors for technical assistance
• Maintain safe, clean, & well-organized work areas
• Comply with regulatory, Keurig Dr Pepper, & departmental policies, procedures, & standards (especially safety)

Salary Range: $85,000 - $125,000

We are located in our beautiful Woodridge, IL facility and this position will report to the AVP of Fire Protection. The Fire Protection Designer will be responsible for supporting the design and layout of fire sprinkler systems for a variety of commercial and industrial projects. This role works closely with project managers, engineers, field teams, and other trades to ensure system designs are accurate, code-compliant, and aligned with project specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare fire sprinkler design drawings that maximize efficiency, meet code compliance and industry standards, and coordinate with building components and other trades, using design software and 3D modeling.
• Coordinate pipe and sprinkler locations with building components and other trades.
• Prepare hydraulic calculations to determine pipe sizes.
• Stocklist materials for fabrication and purchasing.
• Detail shop drawings for installation.
• Submit drawings, documentation and completed applications submitting applications for permits to the proper municipalities and/or authorities, with the appropriate transmittal forms.
• Attend Company Meetings and reporting status of work as required.
• Provide accurate and complete information on reports and quotes.
• Expedite drawing approvals on a timely and consistent basis.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related from an accredited college or university.
• Knowledge of and experience using design software, such as AutoSprink, Hydratec and/or AutoCad preferred.
• NICET certification preferred; learn and comply with NFPA standards and other applicable federal, state, and local codes.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking and mathematical aptitude, with attention to detail, good working knowledge or hydraulic calculations and ability to read and understand construction blueprints.
• Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities under time constraints.
• Flexibility to be available as needed and to travel to client sites when necessary.

John Burns Construction is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to assist the Estimating Department in evaluating and pricing current bid opportunities. This person will report to the Director of Estimating and will have the potential to manage a staff of Estimators and Estimate Coordinators in the future.

We’re looking for your to do the following:

1. Perform detailed evaluation of drawings and specifications to determine the scope of work for subcontractors, vendors, and self-perform activities
2. Manage bid invitations by soliciting subcontractor bids and vendor quotes
3. Prepare subcontractor scopes and complete scope comparisons
4. Generate estimates by quantity takeoff and pricing of work
5. Write contracts and purchase orders
6. Maintain professional working relationships with subcontractors and vendors
7. Generate new bidding opportunities.

You have:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field of study
2. 7+ years of estimating or construction management experience
3. Background in takeoff and pricing of self-performed work including General Contracting: earthwork, excavation, site utilities, site, and structural concrete, and carpentry. Outside Electrical: street lighting, traffic signals, intelligent transportation systems, underground conduit systems, fiber optics
4. Experience in both Unit Price and Lump Sum bidding
5. HCSS HeavyBid Estimating Software
6. Computer skills including Microsoft Office
7. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
8. Ability to manage multiple concurrent bids and meet deadlines
9. Ability to assess risk
10. Teamwork orientated
11. Strong organizational skills
