JOB SUMMARY
A Welder II is responsible for welding and joining various metal components and structures, ensuring they meet quality standards and engineering specifications. The job involves operating welding equipment, interpreting technical drawings, and contributing to the fabrication process to create high-quality, durable products. Welder II will work closely with Welder Is to ensure proper techniques and work order directions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Depending on the job requirements, perform welding tasks using various welding processes, such as MIG, TIG, or arc welding.
- Sets up and adjusts welding equipment, including selecting the appropriate welding tools, gas, and wire.
- Use cutting tools, grinders, and other equipment to prepare workpieces by cleaning, beveling, or cutting them to the required size and shape.
- Inspects welded joints and completed assemblies to verify that they meet quality and dimensional specifications.
- Follows safety procedures and wears appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure a safe work environment.
- Receives training for welding certificates that apply to the different alloys that need welding.
- Train Welder Is and give them directions on daily tasks and welding techniques.
- Completes more difficult welding projects and passes on the more straightforward projects to Welder Is.
- Responsible for ordering all welding supplies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Position Summary
We are seeking a 2nd Shift Turbine Mechanic (4 - 10's) to work out of our Milwaukee Service Center. This position is responsible for the disassembly, assembly, and mechanical operations on a variety of steam turbine spindles, casings, and valves where methods are standardized and prescribed. Work from assembly drawings and specifications to do skilled fitting, aligning, and adjusting along with some secondary machining. Use a wide variety of precision measuring instruments and gauging devices.
Essential Duties
- Receive and inspect incoming turbine components, take digital pictures of shipping container, cribbing, rigging techniques, and all parts.
- Measure and record the critical dimensions of the turbine components.
- Charting of the disassembly of the blades and proper labeling.
- Perform proper blade straightening and repairs procedures.
- Perform blade setlliting and stiffener repairs technique.
- Remove and install seals, disassemble, and assemble valves, and perform blade ring assembly procedures.
- Repair or rebuild hydrogen seal assemblies and rigging and shipping skid setup.
- Operate the manual grinding, milling, turning, and sawing machinery as required for installation and final fitting of turbine blade seals, and valves.
- Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.

- Solid math skills with the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers including decimals and fractions. Simple use of formulas, blueprints, specifications, and tables.
- Capable of using various types of precision measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of design and basic mechanical principles.
- Ability to work from engineering drawings and process drawings
- Pendant crane certified 5 & 10 ton and greater with basic to advanced hitching knowledge.
- Honing and lapping, gland packing, use of radio-controlled bridge cranes, blading, babbiting, radial drill press, turbine alignment, tight wire, and oil seal repair.

The Shift Supervisor ensures a smooth workflow, adherence to schedules, and a seamless transition between the first and second shifts. - Experience with manufacturing systems, time and data collection systems, planning and scheduling software preferred.
- Strong understanding of EHS regulations and best practices.
- Experience operating fork truck and overhead crane.
- Above average verbal and written communication skills.

What You'll Do
Reporting to the General Manager, the Shift Supervisor is responsible for planning and organizing the hour-by-hour activities for 2nd Shift manufacturing associates in two New Berlin facilities to meet the quality, delivery and cost expectations of our customers. Assures all associates work safely and any hazards are resolved quickly. Executes production plans and monitors job run times. Ensures active communication with supporting departments and 1st Shift staff.
Shift start time: 3:00PM
Plant Supervision
- Follow through of Production plan hour by hour, daily activities for manufacturing associates; utilizes the strengths of the Lead personnel to help accomplish goals and workflow
- Provides technical support to the production floor by resolving issues as they arise
- Ensures compliance with daily department schedules to meet shipments on a consistent basis
- Monitors, identifies and documents run times and process improvements of shop and production
- Monitors workflow, oversees and directs production, and audits Job Paperwork, Routings, Log sheets, Process Control Sheets (PCS), Work Instructions (WI) for conformity and accuracy
- Documents workflow, achievements, and notes for 1st shift hand-off
- Communicates and coordinates with Engineering, Quality and other support areas as production issues arise
- Reviews all jobs prior to submittal for final inspection ensuring parts are made to print, parts are properly claimed and part counts are correct
- Ensures operators perform set-ups as required to meet production schedule
- Follows safety policies and procedures and ensures subordinates do the same
- Supports all manufacturing functions including troubleshooting and problem solving in all areas of manufacturing
- Provides recommendations and periodic updates as needed to management regarding the status of production
- Utilize reporting and analytics to make data-driven decisions to meet production needs

Team Management
- Hold Shop Team accountable to goals and objectives set by the Company and Operations Manager

What You'll Bring
- High School diploma or GED is required

Job Description
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the production employees to ensure a quality product is produced to meet on-time delivery goals in a cost-effective and safe manner
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assign and prioritize work to produce products according to the production schedule.

Qualifications

- Experience in Inspection and quality control to ensure compliance with project standards and safety regulations.
- Knowledge in Logistics Management to coordinate resources and optimize project workflows efficiently.
- Strong organizational and communication skills to collaborate effectively with teams and stakeholders.
- Problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines under time-sensitive conditions efficiently.
- Previous experience in the construction or masonry industry is highly desirable.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is a plus.

About the Role:
Our team is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join our growing commercial construction team in Waukesha, WI. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in construction management while gaining hands-on experience across all phases of commercial projects.
The APM will support Project Managers and help ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with day-to-day project management activities on commercial construction projects
- Support the preparation, review, and tracking of submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and engineers
- Maintain project schedules, logs, and reports
- Assist with cost tracking, budget updates, and quantity takeoffs
- Participate in project meetings and jobsite walks
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, contract requirements, and company procedures
- Help close out projects, including as-built documentation and warranties
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1–4+ years of experience in commercial construction (internship or co-op experience welcomed)
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Ability to report out of an office in Waukesha/Brookfield area
