The Principal Product Engineer will learn the technical aspect of key product in the Andover, MA factory.  The Product Engineer will be product centric technical liaison, focused on driving collaboration across work centers and all disciplines to resolve technical issues, improve efficiencies and optimize overall product yield to ensure high-quality and cost-effective products and systems. You will utilize data analysis, CORE methodologies, and technical understanding to maximize overall product test yield, efficiency, and value.

What You Will Do

• Address major yield and technical issues highlighted by tech leads and factory operation managers.

• Perform data analysis and provide direction for overall product yield and performance improvement.

• Facilitate collaboration across manufacturing work centers and design engineering.

• Empower production test engineer to resolve complex failures through data driven troubleshooting technique.

• Partner with test and design engineering team to develop sustaining solution to technical problems with root cause and corrective action identification.

Qualifications You Must Have

Manufacturing Engineer | Wilmington, MA

Contract-To-Hire (6-Months)

Provide engineering and project management skills in support of the design and development of new processes/equipment, the scale-up and commercialization of new products, the continual improvement of existing technologies, and the optimal performance and troubleshooting of existing operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong engineering skills in support of the scale-up and development of new products and processes. This includes methods, procedures and specifications to ensure a timely transfer to Manufacturing.
• Provide strong engineering understanding on continual improvement teams, developing process methods, designing/sourcing equipment, conducting feasibility/developmental trials, executing validation requirements, drafting documents/specifications/drawings, and providing on-the-job training to ensure the effective transfer/start-up of new/refined products/processes.
• Manage equipment and process validations, including creation of the protocol, identification of test requirements, analysis and presentation of results, and creation of the final report, in accordance with internal procedures and external regulations.

Our client, a fast-paced leader in product development, is seeking a Manufacturing/Process Engineer to join their very busy team. The Manufacturing/Process Engineer will support the transition of products from engineering to manufacturing and will be responsible for bringing new products from Design Verification build to Pilot Production. Additionally, the Manufacturing/Process Engineer will support the design, installation, and operation of production processes, including sheet metal fabrication, foaming of refrigeration enclosures, heat pipe assembly, electro-mechanical assembly, and performance testing. They will also collaborate with engineers in Design for Manufacturability to transition new products from Design Verification builds into Manufacturing Validation builds and Mass Production, as well as work in a multidisciplinary production and development team.

To be successful in this role, candidates will utilize SolidWorks to produce deliverables, including production assembly procedures, and will also provide technical training to the production staff for all new product introductions to enhance product quality and maximize production efficiency. In this very important role, candidates must be experienced engineers who can work independently and communicate clearly with managers, co-workers, and clients. Candidates with an Engineering degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering, and at least 10 years of manufacturing engineering experience, will be considered. We are looking for a Field Engineer that ideally has previous linear water rehabilitation experience i.e. sewers. This will be an onsite role for a sewer rehabilitation project for a utility client in Boston. They will be providing Owner's rep services and be reviewing drawings, RFI's, etc. to provide technical support out in the field to the main contractors out in the field. This person will coordinate back with the design engineer office to determine if changes need to be made.

Provide subcontractors with information and direction, as outlined within contract specifications, to allow the work to proceed as scheduled. Authority to interpret technical requirements and provide solutions in conjunction with discipline Project Department Engineer and Discipline Superintendent, to provide drawings and data, and to direct work as assigned and consistent with Company's contractual commitments. May perform subcontract administration of discipline specific or assigned procurements. Interprets and administers fundamental commercial issues. Position may transition to assistant superintendent or startup engineering role. May perform in an EPC environment where Company is either solely responsible or in a Joint Venture/Consortium with others. Provides technical direction/interpretation of design drawings and specification requirements, as well as general guidance to subcontractors on overall design. May perform fundamental design checks and re-design in the field without supervision. Position Description:

• Consults with customers on technical solutions, together with Sales Manager or Key Account Manager.
• Clarifies customers´ targets and requirements, and/or specification in request for proposal (RFP).
• Prepares participation in tender and leads negotiation with customers. Coordinates overall planning of the project and decides on allocation of resources.
• Clarifies specification and continuously liaise with accountable Project Manager Internal.
• Monitors milestone and adherence to budgets, and initiates actions to minimize non-conformance cost.
• May coordinate agreed commissioning measures onsite, together with Site Engineering Management.
• Adheres to PM standards and Business Conduct Guidelines (e.g., Tax regulations, Export Control, EHS).

Key Responsibilities:

• "Project Manager" Local / Regional Business Projects (small):Facilitates the execution of project/program solution plan for complex projects or programs.
• Responsible for delivery of complex project/program plans.
• Supports the project/program management role (definition of schedule, budget, risk, change, opportunity and resource allocation management) for complex projects or programs.
• Acts as a functional or business process resource on projects or programs. Facilitates execution of continuous improvement plan.
• May perform active role in maintaining client relationships and sales opportunities.
• Experience: 4-8 years. Knowledge: Certified as Project Manager, Manages (at least) medium projects and is expected to further run plans of same/higher complexity (or equal knowledge).

Your Tasks

• Coordinate certification projects from initiation through first factory inspection, including tracking file numbers, service agreements, and inspection cycles.
• Monitor annual and quarterly follow‑up service schedules, proactively identifying upcoming renewals, missed inspections, and potential compliance risks.
• Schedule factory inspections in collaboration with clients, inspectors, and PTDEs, confirming readiness and required documentation.
• Maintain accurate records of inspection activities, certification updates, and program documentation to support operational visibility.
• Liaise with PTDEs and certification agencies to track inspection findings, documentation requirements, and program updates.
• Support financial processes by verifying inspection completion, coordinating invoicing, and tracking revenue tied to recurring certification programs.
• Maintain project data in internal systems (such as PSE and SAP), ensuring projects are opened, maintained, and closed according to internal procedures.

Your Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering Management, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
• 2–3 years of experience in project coordination, project support, or project management in a technical, engineering, or laboratory environment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and identify risks proactively.
• Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and project tracking systems.
• Preferred:
• Experience working in regulated, certification, testing, or service‑based environments.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, technical leads, and customers.
• Ability to work independently while staying aligned with management direction.

Additional Information

• The anticipated annual base pay range for this full-time position is $65,000 - 75,000. Actual base pay will be determined based on various factors, including years of relevant experience, training, qualifications, and internal equity.
