The Opportunity:
The Travel and Procurement Coordinator II plays a key role in managing travel and procurement tasks for the Business Center. This position serves as the primary point of contact for colleges and divisions on procurement-related activities. This position monitors and processes requisitions daily through UCF systems. The Travel and Procurement Coordinator assists in developing solicitations for bids and participates in creating contracts, leases, and supplier agreements. This position acquires goods and services using assigned procurement cards and ensures accurate receipt documentation. This position collaborates with Procurement Specialists to resolve issues, maintain visibility, and support end-user communications and training. The Travel and Procurement Coordinator is expected to work independently in a complex, fast-paced environment and ensure compliance with procurement policies and fund use guidelines.
UCF is seeking to fill multiple roles within the College of Science (COS) and the College of Engineering and Computer Science (CECS). Candidates for this job posting will be considered for additional vacancies in these departments.
Responsibilities:
Initiate requisitions and support colleges/divisions with purchases. Add and/or validate Worktags to verify appropriateness for acquisition.
Make procurement card purchases for college/division needs.
Act as a liaison between college/division staff, general counsel, and the vendor on the development of contractual agreements.
Review requests for procurement policy adherence prior to entry into Workday and propose alternative solutions in instances where the request is out of compliance.
Initiate adds/updates to the vendor master file, obtain supplier-provided documentation.
Manage requisitions, purchase orders, invoice receipts, and invoice payments and initiate RMAs with suppliers and coordinate returns, as required.
Verify, review, and reconcile expense and procurement card transactions to ensure compliance with university policy and regulations.
Serve as a general resource and point of contact for travel-related issues, receive and respond to incoming travel requests, and assist employees with travel-related issues or concerns. Initiate spend authorization for travel upon request.
Book travel and hotel accommodations upon request.
Ensure travel reservations comply with university policies.
Prepare and reconcile travel and field advances, collect receipts and travel-related expense documents to prepare travel expense reports for employees upon request.
Review expense reports for policy adherence.
Collect receipts for and reconcile non-travel expense card transactions.
Collect receipts and prepare reimbursements other than travel.
Ensure that reimbursement complies with university policies.
Ensure all required permissions and documentation are included in all travel and procurement transactions.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent and (2+) years of relevant experience or combination of relevant comparable education and experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Workday or other ERP systems.
Experience in processing travel and procurement of goods and services.
Ability to work collaboratively and be part of a team environment while developing highly effective and valued professional relationships with peers, colleagues, and cross-functional teams.
Experience working in higher education.

What You Will Be Doing
As an Electrical/Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for performing electrical and mechanical assembly operations on critical military sub-assemblies and systems, following detailed written instructions and leveraging your technical skills to drive quality and efficiency.

Performs simple operations such as wire cutting, soldering, stripping, bending, splicing, bundling, wire routing, marking, crimping, swaging, connector fabrication, mixing, bonding, potting, embedding, encapsulation, drilling with tooling or pilot holes where tolerances are not critical, routing, riveting, optical handling, optical cleaning, simple optical assembly, , touch-up brush conformal coating and chem film, and other similar activities associated with production assembly operations.
Assembles optical and mechanical assemblies consisting of a number of optical elements and mechanical components. Assures proper orientation of optical elements and uses care in placing into position optical and mechanical components. Bonds optical elements into mechanical housings and prepares RTV rubber compounds, epoxies, and UV cements in accordance with directions provided. Places elements in housing and centers using mechanical centering tools such as pins and shims. Utilizes existing set-ups of auto collimation, zygo machine and other optical alignment equipment during assembly build. Measures and records step heights between optics and housing.
Performs visual, continuity, pressure, leak, in-process checks as may be required to verify completed work.
Performs tapping, reaming, scraping, filing, lapping, adjusting, collimating and measuring.
Fabricates simple wire harnesses, assemblies, and subassemblies of electrical, electronic, electro-mechanical, and electro-optical devices.
Performs simple fabrication and assembly operations utilizing microscopes, drill presses, pin presses, torque wrenches, soldering and de-soldering tools, various hand tools, simple measuring instruments and continuity buzzers.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

- Travel throughout the assigned territory to conduct Makita business, including occasional travel outside of the territory for corporate meetings, including District and National needs.

- Support the Makita accounting department as needed, including, but not limited to, new account set-up, credit applications, credit limits, credit balances, and proper communications with the Accounts Receivable team regarding exceptions.

- Maintain and control Makita's assets and their records, such as vehicles, demo tools, marketing materials, product samples, etc.
- Perform all company functions per federal, state, and municipal laws and company policies.

The successful candidate, housed in the labs of, and co-advised by Professors John Gordon and Titel Jurca, will play a pivotal role in advancing cutting-edge molecular inorganic chemistry. Responsibilities include the synthesis and characterization of novel coordination complexes employing techniques spanning conventional air-free synthesis, to alternative sono- and mechanochemical methodologies. Relevant complexes will be further studied for reactivity, with potential application to catalytic processes. Additionally, the candidate will participate in standard laboratory responsibilities of upkeep/maintenance, the collective supervision of graduate and undergraduate students, and dedicated activities related to professional development.
Responsibilities:
Research: Conduct advanced research in the synthesis, characterization, and reactivity of novel molecular inorganic complexes. Collaboration: Actively collaborate across both Gordon and Jurca groups, and the REACT cluster at UCF, in pursuit of the research goals.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ph.D. in organometallic, inorganic, or catalysis chemistry. Strong background in standard molecular analysis techniques including NMR, FTIR, mass-spec, scXRD (not required but desirable). Experience in air-free synthetic techniques (Schlenk line, inert atmosphere glovebox)
Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent writing, communication, and collaboration skills. Track record of high-quality publications in peer-reviewed journals. Experience with x-ray crystallography.

The Opportunity:
The UCF IT department within Facilities and Business Operations is seeking a highly skilled Multimedia Specialist III to play a vital role in delivering exceptional audiovisual (AV) experiences across campus! This position serves as a senior technical leader supporting high-profile university events, advanced multimedia systems, and cross-departmental technology initiatives. The Multimedia Specialist III will oversee event-day operations, provide expert troubleshooting and production support, and collaborate on innovative AV solutions that enhance the university community. In addition, this role serves as a trusted technical resource and assumes leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Multimedia Event Manager.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily multimedia event operations, including equipment checks, network connectivity verification, and managing audiovisual setups to ensure high quality event production.
Operate and troubleshoot multimedia systems, including audio boards, video switchers, live streaming equipment, and integrated web/audio/video conferencing tools.
Provide onsite leadership and act as backup for the Multimedia Event Manager during absences.
Supervise and mentor student workers, OPS staff, and other multimedia assistants, including tracking labor hours and evaluating performance.
Collaborate with end users and project teams to plan and implement audiovisual solutions; perform inspections, user training, and project closeout.
Maintain documentation, follow standard operating procedures, and perform ticketing, reporting, and service-level tracking in ServiceNow.
Pursue ongoing professional development by attending training, maintaining certifications, and documenting completed training.
Support departmental teams with equipment troubleshooting, inventory maintenance, vehicle and equipment upkeep, and technical support for high-profile events.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 4 years of relevant experience; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 8 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree oran equivalent combination of education and experiencepursuant toFla. Stat. 112.219(6).
Preferred Qualifications:
6+ years of experience operating professional audiovisual and broadcast-quality production systems, including microphones, audio boards, PTZ cameras, and video mixers, with advanced expertise in speaker deployment, microphone placement, system tuning, and live sound optimization across varied venues.
Experience with AV over IP technologies, structured cable management, and Crestron control systems, including NVX.
Proficiency with ServiceNow or comparable ticketing/IT service management (ITSM) platforms.
Bachelor's degree in Digital Media, Audio Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Demonstrated supervisory and event-day leadership experience within a multimedia or live event production environment, including coordinating daily operations, delegating assignments, evaluating performance, and serving in a lead or backup management capacity.
Advanced troubleshooting experience with complex AV systems, including networked AV environments, conferencing integrations, and live streaming platforms.
Working knowledge of network infrastructure concepts, including VLANs and DHCP.
Strong project coordination skills with experience collaborating with stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional technical teams on AV installations, upgrades, or system implementations.
Relevant certifications such as CTS/CTS-I, Crestron, Extron, QSC, or other industry-recognized audiovisual credentials.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to train, mentor, and support staff, student workers, and end users.
Demonstrated ability to perform effectively in high-profile, fast-paced event environments with strong attention to detail and a customer service-oriented approach.
Special Instructions to the Applicants:
This role includes supporting events outside of standard business hours, including evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays, to ensure seamless multimedia operations.
Position requires a valid Class E driver's license. This position may involve driving to various locations on and off campus to conduct University business.
The anticipated salary range for a well-qualified candidate for this position is $68,637 - $74,940. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations.
