Position purpose
The Welder position responsibilities include fitting and joining and repairing metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques in accordance with product specifications and production schedules.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks

  • Working hours are general 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., but may be adjusted as needed to meet production needs
  • Perform welding duties using a TIG welder.
  • Use welding equipment to weld steel components as specified by layouts, engineering drawings, work orders, or verbal instructions.
  • Work with others to assist in the welding of multi-component parts.
  • Operate forklifts, hoists, hand power tools, slings, grinders, cutting torch, and other hand tools related to the jobs needs.
  • Inspect and correct welds as necessary to meet product specifications.
  • Read, understand, and follow job order specifications, engineering drawings, and/or work orders.
  • Willingness to cross-train and perform the work of other job tasks in addition to the primary assigned position.
  • Communicates with management, for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues.
  • Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventive maintenance functions on equipment. Suggest and implement improvements.
  • Completes all required safety procedures prior to and during operations.

  • Set up and operate fabricating machines (shears, brakes, presses, forming rolls, punch and drill presses) to cut, bend, block, form, punch, drill, or shape parts to specifications.
  • Operate soldering equipment to join sheet metal parts.
  • Smooth edges and surfaces of grooves or joints using hand tools, power tools, files, or chemicals.
  • Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications and tolerances using precision measuring instruments.
  • Diagnose and repair structural discrepancies as needed.
  • Install structural components such as bulkheads, formers, stringers, ribs, frames, and other components.
  • Install insulation materials (fiberglass, polyurethane) using hand or power tools.
  • Repair dents, cracks, and damage to the aircraft skin using appropriate hand tools.
  • Repair holes in aircraft skins with patch materials like aluminum, composites, fiberglass, or synthetic resin materials.
  • Install, repair, and replace aircraft skins, structural components, and interior furnishings (insulation, carpeting, vinyl flooring, seats, paneling, soundproofing materials, paint).
  • Keep detailed records of all repairs and work performed on aircraft in compliance with repair station guidelines.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience as a sheet metal mechanic
  • Helicopter experience STRONGLY preferred
  • Working knowledge of blueprint reading, geometry, and trigonometry.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
  • Familiarity with aviation maintenance manuals and repair station guidelines.
  • Personal basic tools/box required

PHYSICAL & COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to pass a 10-year criminal background check and FAA DOT drug test.
  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship required.
  • US Driver's License.

PAY & SCHEDULE

  • Hourly based off of experience and interview.
  • Split per diem is available to those who qualify
  • Paid weekly after the first week of work
  • OT is time and 1⁄2
  • Monday – Friday
  • 7:00am – 3:00pm
  • Must be flexible to work OT when needed

Essential Functions:

  • Provides functional strategic guidance for project planning, system landscape, data migration, testing, deployment, integration and overall solution architecture.
  • Advises Project Leads and Project Managers to implement best practice decisions that successfully impact the overall platform.
  • Provides guidance in the definition of solution design practices and standards that link back to SAP best practices.
  • Designs and supports proof of concepts to demonstrate proposed technical solutions.
  • Designs, develops and supports business requirements by leveraging SAP solutions.
  • Provides support for pre-sales initiatives that include developing and reviewing roadmaps, estimates, and responses to RFP/RFQ's.
  • Completes assigned deliverables:
