ABOUT THE POSITION

Provide leadership to the entire combustion field service teams in ensuring that the goals and objectives of the department and the company are met in terms of providing world-class service to our customers.



LOCATION: This is an onsite position at our Heatec facility in Chattanooga, TN.



Key Deliverables

  • Have a goal of delivering the Ultimate Customer Experience
  • Advocate safety by creating a Zero injury culture to protect our people and our customers assets.
  • Oversee all field service activities for process heating with the IPS
  • Maintain accurate data for evaluation and provide feedback to Engineering. Manufacturing, and Sales departments.
  • The ability to work in a Matrix management/organizational structure.
  • Stay current with technology that affects the commercial and industrial process heating.



Key Activities & Responsibilities

  • Has responsibility for all field service activities for Thermal heating.
  • Responsible for the preparation of department budget and compliance with the budget.
  • Organize, coordinate, and develop a staff to effectively provide field service activities for our distributors and/or customers.
  • Responsible for organizing, developing, and presenting service training for Astec, Inc. customers, including maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and operating instructions.
  • Responsible for telephone service assistance as needed, working from Astec, Inc. offices or home.
  • Provide accurate data for evaluation by Engineering and Manufacturing Departments for immediate solutions and make recommendations as needed.
  • Evaluate staff performance at meeting company and personal performance goals and make recommendations based on appraisals. Ensure performance appraisals are utilized throughout the department.
  • Review and approve expense reports, while controlling costs and following the guidelines in our travel policy.
  • Review and approve employee timecards. This includes time management for overtime and work schedule from the office to the field.
  • Coordinate issuance of Service Bulletins and follow up on completion of said work.
  • Serve on committee and focus groups as assigned.
  • Participate in staff meetings and other meetings as needed across all sites.
  • Project a positive company image by interacting with fellow associates, customers, and corporate management in a cooperative, supportive, and courteous manner.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience is required
  • Some travel is required. Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid passport.
  • Must be able to meet regular attendance requirements.

Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a Tier 1 vendor for the Tennessee Valley Authority and we are recruiting for a Senior Nuclear Project Manager for a 12-month contract assignment supporting the modernization of TVA’s nuclear plants.

W2 Hourly Compensation: (Commensurate with experience) Time and a half for overtime Benefits/Paid Time Off: Not included under the terms of this contract Duration: 12 months Project office location: Chattanooga, TN Local or Regional candidates highly preferred.

Project Overview: This hybrid role is responsible for managing assigned projects to ensure that safety, quality, environmental, budget, and schedule goals are achieved.

Project scope will vary over the course of the contract, but currently the focus will begin with the Safety Related Piping Project at all 3 nuclear sites.

THIS ROLE IS GENERALLY ASSIGNED LARGE MULTIFACETED PROJECTS.

SERVES AS THE SINGLE POINT OF CONTACT REGARDING A SPECIFIC PROJECT AND ASSUMES THE LEADERSHIP ROLE IN SAFELY MANAGING THE PROJECT.

Role Overview

The Senior Project Manager (Building Automation Systems) is responsible for leading mission-critical BAS and EPMS projects from design through commissioning and turnover. This role ensures high‑reliability delivery for hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise data center environments where uptime, accuracy, and compliance are essential. The Senior Project Manager acts as the primary client interface, oversees multi‑discipline teams, manages budgets and schedules, and ensures that all systems are delivered to data center industry standards.


  • Project/portfolio management of large BAS/EPMS data center projects; align with SLAs, milestones, and critical-path schedules.
  • Mentor junior PMs, associate PMs, and Project Superintendents; manage internal engineers, programmers, field technicians, electricians, and commissioning partners. • Manage multi-million-dollar budgets, forecasts, cost control, change orders, procurement, and revenue recognition.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation and status reporting; ensure turnover packages and closeout deliverables meet owner standards.
  • Lead risk/issue management, safety adherence, and cross-functional collaboration; drive consistency across projects and regions.
  • Client/stakeholder relations, high-integrity leadership, and team development; travel as needed for commissioning windows. Required and desired skills:


Required: 5–10+ years PM experience in BAS/EPMS or mission-critical MEP; hyperscale/colocation data center experience preferred; PMP is preferred; strong technical understanding of BAS/EPMS architecture, metering, SCADA, and electrical distribution.
