The Opportunity:

The UCF IT department within Facilities and Business Operations is seeking a highly skilled Multimedia Specialist III to play a vital role in delivering exceptional audiovisual (AV) experiences across campus! This position serves as a senior technical leader supporting high-profile university events, advanced multimedia systems, and cross-departmental technology initiatives. The Multimedia Specialist III will oversee event-day operations, provide expert troubleshooting and production support, and collaborate on innovative AV solutions that enhance the university community. In addition, this role serves as a trusted technical resource and assumes leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Multimedia Event Manager.

Responsibilities:


  • Oversee daily multimedia event operations, including equipment checks, network connectivity verification, and managing audiovisual setups to ensure high quality event production.


  • Operate and troubleshoot multimedia systems, including audio boards, video switchers, live streaming equipment, and integrated web/audio/video conferencing tools.


  • Provide onsite leadership and act as backup for the Multimedia Event Manager during absences.


  • Supervise and mentor student workers, OPS staff, and other multimedia assistants, including tracking labor hours and evaluating performance.


  • Collaborate with end users and project teams to plan and implement audiovisual solutions; perform inspections, user training, and project closeout.


  • Maintain documentation, follow standard operating procedures, and perform ticketing, reporting, and service-level tracking in ServiceNow.


  • Pursue ongoing professional development by attending training, maintaining certifications, and documenting completed training.


  • Support departmental teams with equipment troubleshooting, inventory maintenance, vehicle and equipment upkeep, and technical support for high-profile events.


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 4 years of relevant experience; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 8 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree oran equivalent combination of education and experiencepursuant toFla. Stat. 112.219(6).

Preferred Qualifications:


  • 6+ years of experience operating professional audiovisual and broadcast-quality production systems, including microphones, audio boards, PTZ cameras, and video mixers, with advanced expertise in speaker deployment, microphone placement, system tuning, and live sound optimization across varied venues.


  • Experience with AV over IP technologies, structured cable management, and Crestron control systems, including NVX.


  • Proficiency with ServiceNow or comparable ticketing/IT service management (ITSM) platforms.


  • Bachelor's degree in Digital Media, Audio Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.


  • Demonstrated supervisory and event-day leadership experience within a multimedia or live event production environment, including coordinating daily operations, delegating assignments, evaluating performance, and serving in a lead or backup management capacity.


  • Advanced troubleshooting experience with complex AV systems, including networked AV environments, conferencing integrations, and live streaming platforms.


  • Working knowledge of network infrastructure concepts, including VLANs and DHCP.


  • Strong project coordination skills with experience collaborating with stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional technical teams on AV installations, upgrades, or system implementations.


  • Relevant certifications such as CTS/CTS-I, Crestron, Extron, QSC, or other industry-recognized audiovisual credentials.


  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to train, mentor, and support staff, student workers, and end users.


  • Demonstrated ability to perform effectively in high-profile, fast-paced event environments with strong attention to detail and a customer service-oriented approach.

The Opportunity

The Department of Physics at the University of Central Florida (UCF) invites applications for two full-time, nine-month, benefits-eligible, non-tenure earning lecturer positions, anticipated to start in August 2026.

We anticipate that one will be a Lecturer, and one available at the Lecturer or Associate Lecturer level, based on experience. Each position is renewable annually, with the possibility of summer teaching assignments. We seek candidates to teach large-enrollment sections of introductory physics courses, introductory physical science and astronomy courses for a variety of majors, as well as upper-division undergraduate courses in physics and astronomy. The successful applicant is expected to demonstrate potential for excellence in teaching and knowledge in curriculum and course design. Lecturers in the department typically have instructional duties and service assignments in accordance with the department's current equitable workload policy. Lecturers are encouraged to pursue independent research, including student research mentoring. Research, curriculum development, and other activities can reduce teaching assignments. There is a career path for lecturers with the possibility of promotion based on years of service and performance.

Health Information Technology:

The Opportunity:

The Enterprise Systems Manager is responsible for the design, administration, maintenance, and performance of the core systems utilized at the College of Medicine and affiliated entities; to include customized consumption of university core resources, as well as uniquely owned system and services for the college. Acting as Unit Leader, the role will provide direct oversight of daily activities, own escalated incident resolution, champion system implementation efforts, and manage relationships with relative technical partners and vendors.

Responsibilities:

Operations, Systems Administration, and Technical Management:


  • Act as Health Information Technology Enterprise Systems unit leader, overseeing the planning, architecture, installation, implementation, and maintenance of the core and unique systems and services for the College of Medicine and affiliated programs.


  • Supervise Systems Administrators, providing guidance over daily activities; including hiring, training, development, task assignment, and coaching.


  • Perform high-level systems activities to maintain workload balance and service escalated tasks.


  • Ensure systems/services are appropriately maintained, meeting operational expectations, and align with security standards.


  • Own the protection against technical vulnerabilities, as well as investigation and mitigation of incidents


  • Lead concurrent initiatives; including proposal, prioritization, scheduling, project planning, and communication


  • Generate detailed documentation for systems, workflows, change management, and project planning


  • Champion initiatives to deliver timely customized systems and applications to support the client base.


  • Consume central services, working with campus colleagues to tailor unique needs of the service environments.


Strategic Planning/Leadership:


  • Coordinate with Health IT leadership to develop a sustainable, scalable, and consistent service model, aligning technical and business practices to support the college's and university's strategic goals and initiatives.


  • Provide Health IT Leadership with technical documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), analytical reports, and strategic road maps on service efforts and technical planning for the organization


  • Research and advise trends in technical innovation, related to healthcare, medical education, and biomedical research.


  • Set Annual/long-term unit goals, capture and present unit/system performance metrics, seeking opportunities to improve efficiency.


  • Maintain currency and communicate the Health IT Service Catalog for Enterprise Systems, pertaining to standardization of services, softwares, and devices offered and supported.


Outreach, Education and Training:


  • Represent Health IT at college/university/external technical committees/forums. Seek opportunities to increase efficiency(software licensing, economies of scale procurement, standardization, redundancy in efforts and resources.


  • Build and strengthen open collaborative relationships between all university IT units, AHSC Departments, and health partners to align efforts across organizations, ensure transparency, manage expectations, as well as create awareness and a sense of common purpose.


  • Coordinate strategic efforts between stakeholders in the development and enforcement of department, college, and university policies, procedures, and best practices.


  • Maintain advanced working knowledge and competency for unit, respective to current and future state of the college's systems, through regular research, forum monitoring, educational programs, and conference participation.

A UCF Police Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe University environment by enforcing State Statutes, local ordinances, and University Regulations. Monitors campus road networks to ensure a smooth flow of traffic, addresses engineering deficiencies and hazards, and performs traffic control at congested intersections. Assists with parking control by issuing parking citations.


  • Criminal Investigation and Report Documentation: Investigates criminal incidents, accurately prepares police reports, and maintains an acceptable level of proficiency in all aspects of investigation and report writing.


  • University Referral Processing: Prepares, submits, and assists in the processing of University Referrals for disciplinary action in accordance with institutional policy.

Minimum Qualifications:


Must meet the requirements of Chapter 943, Florida Statutes. All applicants must successfully complete the Basic Recruit Training Program at a CJSTC (Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission) certified training school and pass the Florida certification exam. If a certified Law Enforcement Officer from another state, applicant must have completed FDLE (Florida Department of Law Enforcement) equivalency training and pass Florida State certification exam. Appropriate college coursework or vocational training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.



Must be at least 19 years of age and a U.S. citizen, must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and may not have been convicted of any felony or misdemeanor involving perjury or a false statement or have received a dishonorable discharge from any of the Armed Forces of the United States. Must pass a rigorous background investigation, to include psychological, physical, drug testing, and Computer Voice Stress Analysis.



Preferred Qualifications:

In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting HVAC issues, providing maintenance services, and responding to service requests from customers and staff. The Opportunity

The University of Central Florida, College of Medicine (UCF COM) is seeking exceptional candidates for two full-time faculty positions within the Department of Medicine's Aerospace Medicine program at the assistant, associate or professor of medicine rank. These positions are available in either the tenure or non-tenure track. Candidates will contribute to the academic missions of education, research, and clinical services.

The successful candidates will engage in teaching activities across undergraduate and graduate programs, including the development of new courses, and collaboration with interdisciplinary faculty. In addition, they will actively contribute to research endeavors and secure extramural funding to support innovative aerospace medicine initiatives. The chosen candidates will be tasked to:


  • Expand the UCF COM aerospace medicine research program, with a focus on hypothesis-driven investigator-initiated externally funded studies. This will be facilitated by a robust human research team and extensive logistic administrative support.


  • Another aim is collaborative research and technology development with our faculty colleagues in the College of Optics and Photonics (e.g., for laser devices) and the College of Engineering and Computer Science, among the 12 other colleges.


  • Support the development of a new Aerospace and Extreme Environments Medical Systems Integration and Rapid Prototyping Laboratory.


  • Design, develop, and conduct experiments in the domain of aerospace medicine and extreme medicine, facilitated by the use of the Aerospace and Extreme Environments Medical Systems Integration and Rapid Prototyping Laboratory and other UCF resources such as a newly established biobank for aerospace medicine and extreme environments.


  • Support the development and operation of undergraduate and graduate training programs in aerospace medicine and extreme environments.


  • Provide high-quality teaching in undergraduate and graduate degree programs, including course design, classroom instruction, and mentoring students in aerospace medicine topics.


  • Support the development of new commercial services for space biomedical research with government, industry, and academia.

Minimum Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 0-7+ years of experience in fabrication, themed construction, or related trades.
  • Proficiency with fabrication tools, materials, and shop machinery.

  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and time management skills.
  • Willingness to continuously develop technical skills and expertise.


WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Shop and fabrication environment with exposure to dust, heat, noise, and odors.
  • Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • May be required to work extended hours or weekends, depending on project needs.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift, sand, mask, and move materials up to 50 lbs. regularly and maneuver heavy materials using mechanical assistance when necessary.
  • Comfortable standing, bending, and performing repetitive tasks for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to safely use tools and materials.
  • Must maintain continuous awareness of hazards and enforce safety practices.
