Our team is growing. Optimum is hiring a full-time Assistant Project Manager to help us continue this great work and serve as a key team member of the project team. This position will be responsible for assisting in leading project teams within the construction projects from the preconstruction and construction phase through closeout with the Project Manager. Duties include identifying clients' or stakeholders’ project needs and goals, creating detailed plans to successfully complete projects, and organizing and storing project reports and documents for the Portland, Maine office location.


Essential Functions

  • Assist in total project responsibility, scheduling, safety, staff compliance, buyouts, pay applications, monthly job status meetings, and quality control.
  • Assist in managing client relationships, project planning, project document management, and assist in leading weekly subcontractor meetings.
  • Assume full responsibility for submittal logs and submittals, RFI logs and RFIs.
  • Assist in reviewing change orders with the General Contractor and Sub-contractors.
  • Assist in scheduling and/or facilitating the various project meetings.
  • Have thorough knowledge of all major project issues and priorities.
  • Keep superiors informed concerning the progress of the project and any issues that might affect the schedule, budget or status of the project.
  • Assist in close out of the project.
  • Maintain and complete site reports (during all stages of production).


Qualifications

  • Two (2) years of Project Management specific experience.
  • BS in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of the construction process and understanding of the specifications and field labor.
  • Knowledge of the project management process and principles of scheduling and estimating.
  • Strong skills in time management, communication, and the ability to work within tight deadlines and under pressure.
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with all parties involved in the construction project, while handling difficult issues and/or personalities.
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrates strong critical and analytical thinking abilities.

An exciting opportunity exists at Raytheon for a Semiconductor Dry Etch Engineering Lead to join our III-V compound semiconductor foundry team fabricating gallium nitride and gallium arsenide-based devices within the Advanced Microelectronics Solutions (AMS) Department.  This role requires a broad understanding of microelectronics processing and subject matter expertise in one or more dry etch related techniques including plasma ashing/descum, reactive ion etching (RIE), and inductively coupled etching (ICP).

As a member of the AMS Department, the individual in this role will serve as the dry etch processes lead engineer and collaborate with the various engineering work centers in the III-V semiconductor wafer foundry. The candidate will lead and assist projects in process sustainment, capital allocation, directing process and capital qualifications, improving cycle time, improving product yield, developing new data driven controls, and driving overall wafer movement efficiency.

The chosen candidate is expected to be an innovative and creative thinker capable of probing issues and reaching solutions both independently and in a team environment. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of various microelectronics processing techniques beyond deposition, including wet and dry etching, lift-off techniques, photolithography, metrology, process characterization, foundry data integrity, and large data analysis methods.

The candidate is expected to work well in large and small, cross-functional teams, understand foundry processes, determine capacity limitations, improve overall equipment effectiveness, identify yield improvement opportunities, gather sponsorship and team resources, and execute on continuous improvement activities. Presence on the foundry floor is essential for quick resolution of technical issues as well as the ability to work with operations, facilities, equipment, and quality teams. We are seeking a highly motivated and driven Process Engineer with a strong background in EPC project execution, proven history of developing FEED packages for chemicals/fuels and novel process scale-up, to assist with the design, commissioning and deployment of our first-of-a-kind (FOAK) methane-to-methanol conversion technology.

What You Will Do:

As an Control Account Manager, you’ll be assigned to one or more LTAMDS programs and will be responsible for providing innovative and trusted solutions that optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of the Land and Air Defense products and services over their life cycle. As a Deployment Fielding and Sustainment (DFS) CAM, the successful candidate will support the DFS program Leads, LTAMDS Program Control Account Managers, and Program leads in the successful completion of monthly Earned Value Management (EVM) inputs, reporting and analysis, monthly Budget Change Requests (BCRs), facilitate EAC and LRE inputs, and demonstrate the ability to perform meaningful analysis and effective communication to drive predictable results. Scope of work includes partnering with engineering and program leads for EVMS process inputs, EAC/LRE development, monthly variance reporting, and weekly analysis of cost and labor runs. The role focuses on driving cost control and schedule using APEX/SAP EV, IMS, and PMX management reporting tools. The candidate will be required to perform analyses and prepare reports to drive predictable cost and schedule. The ability to be self-sufficient as well as operating in a team environment, supporting both the Functional organizations, and ensuring program financial commitments are met and are fundamental to success in this role.

You’ll be responsible for the following responsibilities:

  • Support the creation of Estimates at Complete (EACs) on a quarterly basis and

Latest Revised Estimates (LRE) on a monthly basis including estimate of costs, test of reasonableness analysis, and risk and opportunities assessment at the Program / Product / Mission area level.

  • Perform detailed EV and financial analysis to budget baseline, schedule, and EAC positions.

  • Prepare forecasts, monitor actual costs, and document variances to plans and forecasts

  • Providing LCE inputs to proposals, supporting customer proposal negotiations, executing program start-up to include program Integrated Master Plan/Integrated Master Schedule and performance baseline development. Developing and partnering customer proposals, white papers, statements of work and Basis of Estimates
