Position purpose
The Welder position responsibilities include fitting and joining and repairing metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques in accordance with product specifications and production schedules.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks
- Working hours are general 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., but may be adjusted as needed to meet production needs
- Perform welding duties using a TIG welder.
- Use welding equipment to weld steel components as specified by layouts, engineering drawings, work orders, or verbal instructions.
- Work with others to assist in the welding of multi-component parts.
- Operate forklifts, hoists, hand power tools, slings, grinders, cutting torch, and other hand tools related to the jobs needs.
- Inspect and correct welds as necessary to meet product specifications.
- Read, understand, and follow job order specifications, engineering drawings, and/or work orders.
- Willingness to cross-train and perform the work of other job tasks in addition to the primary assigned position.
- Communicates with management, for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues.
- Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventive maintenance functions on equipment. Suggest and implement improvements.
- Completes all required safety procedures prior to and during operations.

Qualifications
Employee must have:
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Work Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to:
- Lift, carry, push and/or pull heavy weight.
- Squat, kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward
- Stand and walk for 1-12 hours per day for up to 6 days a week.
- Work in a non-temperature controlled environment.
- Work in a fast paced industrial environment wearing vision and hearing protection and other appropriate protective clothing.

- Identify training needs within the production team and coordinate training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience in a production supervisory role, preferably in manufacturing.

Job Title : Nuclear Engineer (Naval Reactors Engineer) Category / Component : Officer • Active Overview Design, regulate, and oversee the Navy's nuclear propulsion program, including reactor design, fleet operations, and eventual defueling and decommissioning of nuclear powered ships and submarines from Naval Reactors Headquarters and associated Department of Energy laboratories and shipyards.
Key Responsibilities Provide technical direction in areas such as reactor and fluid systems design, reactor physics, materials development, component design for steam generators, pumps, and valves, instrumentation and control for reactor and propulsion plants, testing and quality control, radiation shielding, and chemistry and radiological controls; review designs and analyses from laboratories, shipyards, and industry partners; coordinate with fleet units to ensure safe and reliable nuclear plant operation.
