Hearst Dallas Media Group, advertising organization for The Dallas Morning News, is looking for a highly motivated Senior Manager to join its fast-growing custom content studio team. This role will lead efforts to grow content-driven advertising products for The Dallas Morning News and support content development for clients across industries who rely on Hearst Dallas for their strategic content needs.

Reporting to the Senior Director of our custom content studio, this role will behave a lot like a managing editor in a newsroom — maintaining editorial calendars; working with writers to develop story ideas; cultivating relationships with subject matter experts; and editing stories for substance, clarity, and style. About This Role

• Coordinate multi-disciplinary technical teams to deliver compliant, high-quality design packages

• Maintain strong client relationships and support ongoing business development efforts

• Lead internal teams, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to staff development

• Produce engineering reports, design documentation, cost estimates, and regular progress updates

• Monitor financial performance, manage project risk, safety planning, and delivery milestones

• Support proposal preparation and strategic pursuits linked to upcoming infrastructure programs

Key Requirements:

• B.S. in Civil Engineering

• Licensed Professional Engineer

• 8+ years’ experience delivering municipal water, wastewater, stormwater, or linear utility infrastructure and/or treatment facility projects

• Strong technical background in treatment plant civil works, pipelines, sewers, pump/lift stations, and site civil components

• Proven project management experience

• Excellent communication and client-facing skills

• Experience supporting business development is a plus
