Position Summary: The Stationary Engineer plays a critical role in operating, maintaining, and repairing boilers, chillers, HVAC systems, electrical distribution centers, emergency power systems, and other essential mechanical systems that keep the facility running safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities: Operate and maintain utility systems providing heat, steam, hot water, humidification, electricity, and more.
Monitor system performance using gauges, meters, and Direct Digital Building Control (DDBC) systems, making adjustments to optimize efficiency and safety.
Perform testing and treatment of boiler and feed water systems.
Keep detailed logs and records of system operations and maintenance activities.
Respond quickly to alarms and service calls, ensuring minimal downtime and prompt resolution.
Maintain equipment in top operating condition through preventive maintenance and repairs.

For Navy Hospital assignments: Provide after-hours and weekend support for the hospital's 'trouble desk' and manage additional systems like medical air, medical gases, chillers, and emergency power systems.
Qualifications: Minimum 4 years of experience operating and maintaining power boilers, or completion of a recognized technical or apprenticeship program with at least 3 years of related experience.
Proficiency in automatic boiler controls and Direct Digital Building Control systems (minimum 1 year experience required).
Skilled in water testing and treatment for boiler operations.
Experience with large-scale facility systems preferred (especially in healthcare or government settings).
Fourth Class Power Engineer Certification Program of the National Institute for the Uniform Licensing of Power Engineers, Inc (NIULPE), Third Class Power Plant Operating Engineer Certification Program of the American Society of Power Engineer, Inc.
(ASOPE), or a Grade II Steam Engineer certification from City of Seattle/Tacoma/Spokane, or higher.

In this role, you'll help keep our production systems running safely and efficiently. You'll install, repair, calibrate, and maintain the controls and instrumentation that support our food processing operations. About the Job:
- Lead reliability and maintainability initiatives across all production and utility equipment to improve uptime, safety, and product quality.
- Design, refine, and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs, including vibration analysis, infrared scans, lubrication standards, and oil analysis.
- Oversee failure analysis through RCA, 5 Whys, and FMEA, driving corrective actions that improve long-term equipment performance.
- Observe manufacturing processes daily and identify engineering opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain all reliability documentation including maintenance plans, procedures, equipment histories, BDAs, and change management records.
- Ensure all work aligns with food safety requirements, GMPs, PMO, and Horizon Organic quality standards.
- Train and develop assigned maintenance technicians in troubleshooting, equipment repair, lubrication standards, and safe work practices.
- Teach electrical and mechanical troubleshooting techniques (PLC, ladder logic, schematics, PID).

About You:

Northrop Grumman is seeking experienced structure aircraft mechanics to support a maintenance program with Northrop Grumman in Lake Charles, LA.
The Navy E-6 is an airborne command post and communications relay based on the Boeing 707 platform The aircraft are utilized primarily for long-range patrols along the entire U.S. border, and in source and transit zone countries. This platform, now modified to the E-6B standard, conveys instructions from the National Command Authority to fleet ballistic missile submarines, a mission known as TACAMO ("Take Charge And Move Out").

Your duties include, but are not limited to:
Maintains repairs and modifies aircraft structures, structural components and engines of complex to extreme difficulty
Reads and interprets manufacturers' and airline's maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components
Have a broad knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modifications and repair
Possess detailed knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, cable tensiometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers, etc. is required.
Possess the experience and ability to provide technical support to structural/mechanical engineers and customers alike
Be able to read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, process specifications, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, written instructions, etc.
Applies professional technical expertise and guidance to solve complex problems by interpreting technical data such as blueprints or manufactures' manuals.
Job duties may also require that this mechanic:
Use your thoroughly comprehensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting/repair procedures and replacement of components, a thorough knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modification and repair and the ability to determine functionality of non-complex electrical systems.
Adjusts, repairs, or replaces electrical wiring system and aircraft accessories.
Performs 100-hour, progressive, isochronal, phase, periodic, and other hourly or calendar inspections, examines reciprocating engines for cracked cylinders and oil leaks, and listens to operating engine to detect and diagnose malfunctions, such as sticking or burnt valves, inspects jet engines and components for cracks, corrosion, foreign object damage, burned areas, distortions, security, warping, wear, and missing segments.
Inspects jet engine turbine blades to detect cracks, distortion, corrosion, burn-out, security, or breaks, tests engine operation, using testing equipment, such as ignition analyzer, compression checker, distributor timer, ammeter, and jet calibration (Jetcal) tester, to locate source of malfunction.
Maintains and repairs aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components.
Performs preflight, thru-flight, and post-flight maintenance inspections.
Maintains and repairs aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems and mechanical components, and applies technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and applies technical expertise in restoring equipment condition and operation.
Performs miscellaneous duties to service aircraft, including flushing crankcase, cleaning screens and filters, greasing moving parts, and checking brakes.
Use your thorough knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting, repair procedures and replacement of parts.
Use your basic knowledge of electrical theory.
Use a variety of manual hand tools such as crimpers, strippers, wire cutters, heat shrink gun, etc.
Assemble, modify, and install wire bundles, conductors and other electrical components.
This worker will be required to make entries in aircraft logs and records, and is responsible for providing guidance and technical expertise to lower level technicians throughout all aircraft modifications and/or maintenance efforts.
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) and a minimum 10 years relevant experience.
Able to perform work in an approved environment during specified work hours.
Able to change physical locations based upon need (including physical ability to travel).
Ability to be subject to a variety of physical conditions.
Able to wear respirator or other safety gear.
Ability to be subject to areas which could cause various phobias due to height or closed spaces.
Preferred Qualifications
A&P License.
E-6B/707 experience.

Position Summary
ASI is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to support a major API manufacturing expansion at a large, highly regulated pharmaceutical campus in Lake County, IL. This role is the on-site leader responsible for day-to-day execution: coordinating contractors and trades, enforcing safety and quality expectations, aligning field activities with the Architect/Engineer (A&E) and client stakeholders, and driving timely installation of API synthesis equipment, utilities, and facility systems in an active manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Field Execution & Trade Coordination
- Direct and coordinate daily work activities for multiple subcontractors/trades (civil, structural, architectural, mechanical/HVAC, piping, electrical, controls, fire protection, insulation, etc.).
- Lead field planning: workface planning, daily/weekly look-ahead, constraint removal, and sequencing to maintain productivity and schedule.
- Verify field readiness (access, permits, drawings, materials, LOTO boundaries, etc.) and keep crews working efficiently.
Safety Leadership
- Champion a strong safety culture consistent with client and contractor programs (OSHA/site rules).
- Conduct job hazard analyses (JHAs), pre-task plans, toolbox talks, and field safety audits; stop work when conditions are unsafe.
- Coordinate safe work in operating areas (permits, hot work, line break, confined space, energized work, LOTO).
Construction Quality & Technical Oversight
- Ensure construction is executed per drawings, specifications, codes/standards, and approved submittals.
- Review/verify installation quality for process equipment and GMP utilities (e.g., purified water, clean steam, process gases, vacuum, chilled water/steam/condensate, wastewater/neutralization—project dependent).
- Support punchlist management, deficiency resolution, and field verification/inspection readiness.
Interface Management (Owner / A&E / Contractors)
- Coordinate construction execution with the A&E team: field design clarifications, constructability issues, and redlines/as-builts.
- Participate in coordination meetings, pull planning sessions, and progress reporting (schedule updates, constraint logs, productivity blockers).
- Communicate clearly and early when scope, schedule, access, or design constraints threaten field progress.
Equipment & Package Expediting
- Track critical equipment/package readiness (FAT/SAT support as required, delivery schedules, staging, rigging plans, installation prerequisites).
- Coordinate receiving, laydown, preservation, and turnover documentation for API synthesis equipment and supporting systems.
Turnover, Commissioning Support & Documentation
- Drive system walkdowns and turnover boundaries (systems/areas), supporting mechanical completion packages and turnover to commissioning/CQV.
- Coordinate vendor support in the field (start-up oversight, issue resolution, closeout).
- Maintain accurate field records: daily reports, installed quantities, progress photos, redlines, punch list status, and turnover artifacts.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of on-site construction field engineering/supervision experience in pharma, biotech, chemical process, or other regulated industrial environments.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating multiple trades and contractors on fast-moving projects.
- Working knowledge of GMP/GDP expectations for construction in/near regulated manufacturing areas (material control, cleanliness, change control awareness, turnover discipline).
- Strong safety mindset and familiarity with typical industrial permit-to-work processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with API chemical synthesis facilities and/or process equipment installation (reactors, filter/dryers, centrifuges, solvent handling, contained transfer, etc.).
- Familiarity with ISPE Baseline concepts, ASTM E2500 mindset, commissioning/qualification interfaces, and turnover best practices.
- Experience working on projects involving advanced manufacturing/automation integrations (PCS/DCS/DeltaV/PLC/SCADA—platform varies by site).
