Senior Buyer – Aerospace Manufacturing
Salary: $80,000-$90,000 + Excellent Benefits + Bonus
Location: NKY / Greater Cincinnati area – Onsite
Our innovative and industry leading aerospace composites client is searching an experienced Senior Buyer to support the strategic sourcing and procurement of critical materials used in high performance aerospace manufacturing. The Buyer plays an important part in ensuring the timely availability of composite raw materials while supporting production schedules, cost objectives, and strict aerospace quality standards which keeps the business strong.
In this role, you will lead sourcing and procurement activities for raw composite materials such as carbon fiber, resins, and prepregs used in aerospace manufacturing. Strong Excel skills and work with Pivot Tables is a must have. Responsibilities include negotiating supplier agreements, issuing and managing purchase orders, maintaining accurate purchasing data within the ERP system, and monitoring supplier performance to ensure quality and on time delivery. You will also conduct spend analysis, evaluate supplier capabilities, and partner with internal teams to support new product introductions and continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.
Requirements for the Senior Buyer:
- 5+ years of purchasing or procurement experience within aerospace or advanced manufacturing environments.
- Experience sourcing composite materials such as carbon fiber, resins, or prepregs strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of aerospace quality standards and regulatory requirements including AS9100, ITAR, DFARS, or FAR.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills with a track record of improving supplier performance and reducing costs.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP or INDEX MATCH, and data analysis.
- Experience working within ERP or MRP systems for purchasing and inventory management, Syteline experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and material specifications.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering, quality, production, and supplier teams.

SUMMARY
Develop and maintain high quality client relations through sales, project management and personnel management. Ensure that air quality and multimedia projects are completed correctly, on time and budget, and that quality projects are made available for the assigned team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Sales Project and Quotation Manager works as a part of a team as the primary sales contacts for PG LifeLink's portfolio of isolated power panels and systems, line isolation monitors, and retrofit solutions. This position combines product knowledge with consultative sales expertise to drive project wins from initial quotation through order closure across healthcare and commercial markets. The role is primarily office-based with strategic travel for trade shows and high-value project opportunities (10 to 20% of the time). The successful candidate will build strong relationships with channel partners, electrical distributors, healthcare facility planners, architects, and end-user clients throughout the project lifecycle.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales & Project Management
- Act as a primary contact point in the office with external customers including outside independent sales representatives, electrical distributors, electrical contractors, and healthcare facility clients throughout the project bid cycle
- Review customer specifications, design drawings, and construction documents to identify technical requirements and product configurations for isolated power systems and retrofit solutions
- Develop competitive product quotations and pricing strategies designed to win project opportunities while maintaining margin targets
- Interpret standard engineering and construction documents and identify technical or regulatory requirements applicable to customer projects
Sales Growth & Account Development
- Drive sales growth through consistent follow-up on all open sales opportunities, working all available options to close and win business
- Prospect and qualify new leads generated by the marketing team and channel partner referrals
- Work closely with independent manufacturer's representative partners to exceed annual sales goals and expand market penetration across hospital, ambulatory surgery center, military, and commercial markets
- Identify and pursue strategic opportunities requiring direct sales engagement with key accounts, consulting engineers, and healthcare facility planners
- Be aware of and responsive to market conditions and competitive activities
Customer Relationship Management
- Assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process from initial inquiry through order placement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across distributor, contractor, consulting engineer, healthcare facility planner, and end-user organizations
- Act as customer advocate internally, coordinating with operations and engineering teams as needed to resolve issues and deliver solutions
- Effectively gather and communicate market feedback within the organization to ensure continual improvement and complete customer satisfaction
Sales Operations & Collaboration
- Capture accurate and complete information in CRM system; consistently document all customer interactions, quotations, and opportunity progression to maintain accurate pipeline forecasting
- Work closely with the sales and marketing team along with other company functions to identify and implement sales, customer service, and process improvements
- Participate in trade shows and industry events as a sales representative with a focus on healthcare construction and facility management events
- Contribute to the development of sales tools, product resources, and market positioning strategies for the PG LifeLink product portfolio
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree preferred with five or more years of sales experience in construction or other technical product project sales management
- Ability to review standard engineering and construction documents/drawings and interpret technical or regulatory requirements
- Documented history of achieving or exceeding sales-related goals and revenue targets
- Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to understand and communicate technical product information to diverse customer groups

What You'll Do
- Manage the full lifecycle of permitting activities for telecom long-haul projects, including private-property facilities and associated public right-of-way requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Data Engineering & AI Enablement
- Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and
ETL/ELT workflows supporting analytics, operational reporting, and AI/ML use
cases. - Implement best practice patterns for ingestion,
transformation, modeling, and orchestration within a modern lakehouse
environment (e.g., Databricks, Delta Lake, Azure Data Lake). - Develop highperformance
data models and curated datasets with strong attention to quality, usability,
and interoperability; create reusable engineering components and automation. - Collaborate with the Architecture Team, the Data
Platform Lead, and federated IT teams to optimize storage, compute, and
architectural patterns for performance and costefficiency. - Build model-ready data sets and feature
pipelines to support AI/ ML use cases; serve as a technical coordination point
supporting business units' AI-related infrastructure needs. - Collaborate with data scientists and AI Working
Group to operationalize models responsibly and maintain ongoing monitoring
signals.
Governance, Quality & Compliance
- Embed data governance, metadata standards,
lineage tracking, and quality controls directly into engineering workflows;
ensure technical implementation and alignment within engineering workflows. - Work with the Data Governance Lead and business
stakeholders to operationalize stewardship, classification, validation,
retention, and access standards. - Implement privacybydesign and securitybydesign
principles, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory
obligations. - Maintain documentation for pipelines, datasets,
and transformations to support transparency and audit requirements.
Platform Reliability, Observability & Optimization
- Monitor and troubleshoot pipeline failures,
performance bottlenecks, data anomalies, and platformlevel issues. - Implement observability tooling, alerts,
logging, and dashboards to ensure endtoend reliability. - Support cost governance by optimizing compute
resources, refining job schedules, and advising on efficient architecture. - Collaborate with the Data Platform Lead on
scaling, configuration management, CI/CD pipelines, and environment management. - Collaborate with business units to understand
data needs, translate them into engineering requirements, and deliver
fit-for-purpose data solutions; share and apply best practices and emerging
technologies within assigned initiatives. - Work with IT Security and Legal/ Compliance to
ensure platform and datasets meet risk and regulatory standards.
Staff Management
- Lead, mentor, and provide management oversight
for staff. - Responsible for setting objectives, evaluating
employee performance, and fostering a collaborative team environment. - Responsible for developing staff knowledge and
skills to support career development.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field preferred or equivalent work experience and HS diploma/equivalent education required.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering within cloud environments
- Experience in people management preferred.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with modern data platforms (Databricks preferred).
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data
transformation frameworks. - Experience designing and operationalizing
ETL/ELT pipelines, orchestration workflows (Airflow, Databricks Workflows), and
CI/CD processes. - Solid understanding of data modeling,
structured/unstructured data patterns, and schema design. - Experience implementing governance and quality
controls: metadata, lineage, validation, stewardship workflows. - Working knowledge of cloud architecture, IAM,
networking, and security best practices. - Demonstrated ability to collaborate across
technical and business teams. - Exposure to AI/ML engineering concepts, feature
stores, model monitoring, or MLOps patterns. - Experience with infrastructureascode
