The Opportunity

The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace (MAE) at the University of Central Florida (UCF) in Orlando, Florida, invites applicants for multiple 9-month, full-time, non-tenure earning lecturer or associate lecturer positions with an anticipated start date of August 08, 2026. The selected candidates will be primarily responsible for teaching undergraduate courses and some graduate courses in mechanical or aerospace engineering offered by the department.

As a part of this broad, university-wide strategic plan, the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) invites applicants for multiple 9-month, full-time faculty positions at the rank of assistant professor (tenure-earning), or associate professor (tenured). These positions have an anticipated start date of August 8, 2026. Each of these hires will strengthen UCF and MAE, and may include a combination of joint and/or secondary appointments. Both individual/interdisciplinary infrastructure and startup support will be provided with these new positions. The positions will carry a rank commensurate with the candidate's experience and record.

Each successful candidate will work at the intersection of the relevant research areas associated with the aforementioned themes. They will have research impact, as reflected in high-quality publications and the ability to build a funded and sustainable research program. In response to this unique locational opportunity, The Center for Advanced Turbomachinery and Energy Research (CATER) was founded to focus on student training and research on turbomachinery and associated energy systems for application in power generation, aviation, and space propulsion. CATER has 9 core faculty members at present, with a staff of 5 research faculty, 15 postdoctoral researchers, and 97 doctoral students. It collectively secured $20.3M of new external funding in FY 24-25 and graduates 13 doctoral students per year on average.

The successful candidates would be part of the UCF HYPERSPACE Center ( ), a Center of Excellence (COE) for Hypersonics and Space Propulsion at the University of Central Florida. The motivation of the center is Speed and Space with the goal of achieving ultra-high-speed flight through our atmosphere, and efficient planetary entry and exit, making space exploration and intercontinental travel as routine as intercity travel is today. Minimum Qualifications:

Doctoral degree from an accredited institution in an area appropriate to Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, or Applied Mathematics at the time of appointment. The Opportunity:

This position serves as the primary point of contact for colleges and divisions on procurement-related activities. This position monitors and processes requisitions daily through UCF systems. The Travel and Procurement Coordinator assists in developing solicitations for bids and participates in creating contracts, leases, and supplier agreements. This position acquires goods and services using assigned procurement cards and ensures accurate receipt documentation. The Department of Population Health Sciences at the University of Central Florida (UCF) College of Medicine invites applications for aTwo-Years Postdoctoral Research Scholar in Implementation Science.

This position offers a unique opportunity to advance the science and practice of implementing evidence-based interventions and accelerating the uptake of implementation research findings in real-world settings. We take a broad view ofimplementation science, emphasizing its integration across disease areas and conditions, including, but not limited to,HIV prevention and care, mental health, substance use, cancer, diabetes, and other chronic diseases.

The Postdoctoral Fellow will join ahighly collaborative, multidisciplinary teamwithin theImplementation Science Research Lab, housed in the Department of Population Health Sciences. The fellow will have the opportunity to engage in national and international partnerships and contribute to multiple ongoing federally and foundation-funded studies.

Key Responsibilities

The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will play an active role in advancing the mission of the Implementation Science Research Lab and the Department of Population Health Sciences. Responsibilities will be bothindependent and collaborative, with an emphasis on career development, scholarly productivity, and the application of implementation science methods to real-world public health challenges. Specific responsibilities include:

  Conduct and lead implementation science studiesfocused on understanding and addressing barriers to the adoption, implementation, and sustainment of evidence-based interventions across different populations and health conditions (e.g., HIV, mental health, substance use, cancer, diabetes).

  Contribute to ongoing federally and foundation-funded research projectsled by the Implementation Science Research Lab, including mixed-methods studies, intervention trials, and community-based participatory research (CBPR) initiatives.

  Develop and implement their own research agenda, including conceptualizing, designing, and leading pilot or secondary data studies in alignment with their long-term career goals.

  Prepare and submit extramural grant applications, such as NIH K-series career development awards, R21 exploratory studies, and foundation-funded proposals, with mentorship from senior faculty.

  Lead and collaborate on manuscript developmentand dissemination of research findings in peer-reviewed journals and professional conferences.

  Conduct systematic and scoping reviewsto synthesize implementation science evidence, frameworks, and best practices across health and social care contexts.

Minimum Qualifications:
