The Systems Engineering and Test Center (SETC) organization is currently hiring a Senior Systems Engineer to join our Tucson, AZ location. Qualifications You Must Have

SENIOR CIVIL ENGINEER (LAND DEVELOPMENT)

JOB SUMMARY

The Land Development Engineer is responsible for supporting the planning, design, and coordination of site development projects from initial due diligence through permitting and construction planning. This role includes conducting zoning and site feasibility reviews, preparing concept and site plan drawings, and designing stormwater management, grading, erosion control, and utility systems. The engineer also performs hydrology calculations, develops construction cost estimates, prepares technical reports and correspondence, and coordinates with clients, agencies, attorneys, and project teams to ensure successful project approvals and implementation.

• Soil Erosion & Sediment Control Design – Design includes stability calculations, best management practices, swale design, spillway design, and determination of construction sequence.
• Preparation of Written Correspondence – Communicate with outside agencies, client, attorney, contractor, etc. Also includes preparation of technical reports including drainage, sanitary sewer and site investigation reports.
• Preparation of Construction Cost Estimates - Based on site plan drawings
• Project Coordination - Includes conferring with client, attorney, and project team with the purpose of preparing a comprehensive site plan application

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a position relevant Engineering field from an ABET-accredited school.

• Experience: Minimum of five (5) years’ job-related experience

• Licensure/Certification: Professional Engineer (PE) required.

The Building Engineer reports to the Lead Engineer and maintains a working relationship with and takes direction from all Property Managers in his/her area for issues affecting their properties. Issues may range from tenant improvement work to preventive maintenance and repair of all building systems. • Operate, maintain, and log all HVAC and MEP equipment under the direction of their supervisor.

Description

The Test Design Engineer is responsible for creating and performing test automation activities consistent with the test lead and test development goals/objectives. This role requires knowledge/experience with automated test software, manufacturing test environment and the ability to interpret test requirements, implement requirement-based test methodologies and trouble shoot & debug test and product issues. Experience with FAA Part 145 in an MRO environment highly desired.

Lead and professionalize AWM’s drafting and engineering department. Own the translation of design intent into precise, buildable shop drawings that drive fabrication and installation success.

Your mission:

Department Leadership

• Lead and mentor the drafting / engineering team
• Establish standards, templates, and QA processes
• Define workflows that increase speed, clarity, and accuracy
• Build a scalable engineering system

Project Engineering

• Own the technical interpretation of architectural intent
• Review and approve all shop drawings before submittal
• Resolve constructability issues with architects, PMs, and field teams
• Anticipate fabrication and installation constraints

Cross-Department Integration

• Coordinate with Production, Project Management, and Field Operations
• Ensure drawings reflect real-world tolerances and methods
• Create feedback loops from shop and field into engineering

Standards & Systems

• Build AWM’s detail library and best-practice standards
• Reduce RFIs, rework, and downstream errors
• Turn drafting into a competitive advantage

• 8–15+ years in architectural millwork engineering or detailing
• Deep experience with custom casework, panels, doors, and specialty interiors
• Expert in AutoCAD (required); Cabinet Vision / SolidWorks a plus
• Strong understanding of fabrication methods, materials, and installation realities
• Natural leader and mentor
• Comfortable working directly with architects and builders
• Spanish is a plus

• Full-time, in-person role based in Miami, Florida
• Candidate must live in South Florida or be willing to relocate
• Regular office presence required to lead the team
• Includes:
• Jobsite visits as needed
• Client and GC meetings
• Periodic travel to AWM’s factory and partners

This is a hands-on leadership role, close to the work, the people, and the projects.

Base Salary: $95,000 – $130,000 per year

(Commensurate with experience and leadership level)

Job Summary:

The Site Leader is responsible for setting the strategic direction and providing overall leadership for the Sunrise manufacturing site, ensuring operational excellence while supporting the organization’s broader business and growth objectives. This role leads the site leadership team and oversees manufacturing operations, manufacturing engineering, process development, sustaining engineering, and warehouse activities.

Through close partnership with functional leaders, the Site Leader ensures alignment and effective execution across key site functions, including quality, supply chain, finance, facilities, and human resources.

The Site Leader is accountable for delivering best-in-class operational performance while ensuring full compliance with all regulatory and corporate requirements. This role fosters a culture of continuous improvement, operational discipline, and talent development to position the Sunrise site as a high-performing, competitive manufacturing operation.

Performance and Financial Management

• Develop site operating plans, key objectives, and budgets to guide and control operations.
• Monitor performance against goals and ensure achievement of production, cost, and financial targets.

Production and Delivery Execution

• Ensure production schedules and product shipments are executed on time, within budget, and in full compliance with quality and regulatory standards.

Talent Development and Organizational Leadership

• Build, develop, and lead a high-performing leadership team.
• Ensure effective recruitment, development, and succession planning to support long-term organizational capability.

Operational Planning and Forecasting

• Execute manufacturing strategies aligned with demand forecasts and business requirements.
• Analyze operational performance and implement corrective actions to ensure achievement of manufacturing and financial objectives.

Regulatory and Compliance Oversight

• Ensure full compliance with Terumo policies and procedures as well as all applicable FDA, ISO, GMP, and other regulatory requirements.

Capacity and Growth Planning

• Anticipate and plan for future capacity needs to support growth, product transfers, and potential mergers or acquisitions.
• Evaluate expansion opportunities, including facility expansion or new site build.

External and Regulatory Engagement

• Ensure site operations remain in full compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory authorities and maintain effective relationships with relevant agencies.

Additional Responsibilities

• Perform other duties consistent with the leadership and management of a large, regulated manufacturing site.

Background and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Natural Sciences, or Business Administration required; advanced degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, or operations leadership required.
• Minimum 10 years of leadership experience managing manufacturing or engineering teams in a regulated environment.
• Experience within the medical device, pharmaceutical, or similarly regulated industry strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience leading multi-disciplinary teams across manufacturing, engineering, etc.
• Experience managing operational budgets and driving operational performance improvements.
• Proven track record of delivering results on schedule and within budget in a complex manufacturing environment.

Final compensation packages may be higher or lower than what is listed, and will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, internal equity, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.
