Injection Molding Process Engineer
Foam-in-Place (FIP) / Polyurethane Systems
Circleville, OH | Automotive Tier 1 Manufacturing
Seeking a Process Engineer to support and optimize Foam-in-Place (FIP) injection molding processes for automotive interior components.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize foam-in-place injection molding processes
- Support new product launches (APQP / PPAP activities)
- Conduct mold and process validation (capability studies, Cpk/Ppk analysis)
- Apply DOE, SPC, and structured problem-solving methods
- Lead root cause analysis on molding and material issues
- Develop PFMEAs, Control Plans, and process documentation
- Partner cross-functionally with tooling, quality, automation, and production
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Chemical, or related)
- 3+ years of injection molding or FIP experience
- Automotive manufacturing background preferred
- Working knowledge of APQP, PPAP, IATF 16949
- Experience with DOE, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing
- Strong plant-floor troubleshooting capability
