QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ph.D. holder in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
• Being able to travel domestically and internationally for attending 3GPP standardization meetings. International travel will be typically to Asia (Japan, Korea, India) and Europe. There will be around 5 international or domestic travels per year (1 week travel each)

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Research and development experience of wireless communications, preferably in vehicular environments
• Strong knowledge of wireless communication at Layer 1 and Layer 2
• Solid understanding of 4G LTE and 5G NR standards and 3GPP standardization processes
• Demonstrated experience writing 3GPP contributions, preferably inRAN1 WG

The Opportunity

Broadreach Recruitment is supporting an international design-led manufacturing business in the appointment of a Procurement Project Manager to join their Operations team in Los Angeles.

This role is not a traditional buyer or purchasing position. We are looking for someone with experience in furniture OEM, interior fitout, or design-led manufacturing, ideally within custom or bespoke product environments.

The procurement function focuses on coordinating outsourced manufacturing, managing materials and production schedules across multiple suppliers. The Internal Identity & Access Management (I2AM) team is responsible for critical production infrastructure that provides a foundational notion of Identity and strong authentication and authorization controls across Pinterest. Our backend is primarily written in Golang, Python with some C++ while our frontend tools are written in React and TypeScript. We're looking for an experienced software engineer who will help us build robust tooling to define and evaluate access controls across production infrastructure. The PM is responsible for completing systems integration projects on time, on budget and achieving high customer satisfaction from our stakeholders. The majority of this employee's time will be spent managing projects and communicating with all project stakeholders. This person will need to interface with Diversified project management teams, as well as other integrators. This person will be helping to constantly improve the established processes.

As the primary interface to the client, the project manager develops a strong long-term relationship. They manage all stakeholder relationships, including expectations, communications and satisfaction. This person will need to have advanced diplomacy and soft skills, organizational skills, and a strong attention to detail.

The Project Manager will be required to be on site Monday-Friday for eight (8) hours per day.

Onsite in the Los Angeles area.

• Facilitates and directs design reviews to assure proper documentation in the field.

• Coordinates all system programming and final checkout of systems. Provides punch-list of remaining tasks after substantial completion.

• Monitors status of projects including cost, timing and staffing to ensure timely and accurate completion of projects.

What You'll Do:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a project manager in commercial construction trades and settings is required.

• Familiarity with audio/video systems installations.

• Strong skills to negotiate a very complex set of variables between system design, site conditions and a widely varying set of expectations with multiple stakeholders.
