Director of Quality Assurance – Apparel
About the Role
We’re looking for a seasoned Director of Quality Assurance to lead enterprise-wide quality strategy across product development, manufacturing, and delivery. This leader will ensure all apparel meets company standards, customer expectations, and technical specifications for construction, fit, fabric performance, and overall appearance. You’ll partner cross-functionally with Design, Technical Design, Production, Sourcing, and global factory partners to elevate quality, reduce defects, and drive continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do
Quality Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute company-wide QA and QC strategies
- Lead, coach, and develop domestic QA teams
- Establish and track KPIs (AQL, defect rates, returns, claims, rework)

Manufacturing & Production Quality
- Implement inline and end-line inspection standards
- Enforce 2.5 AQL compliance
- Monitor factory performance and oversee corrective action plans
- Ensure shading control for knit and woven garments

Vendor & Factory Management
- Conduct quality audits and performance reviews
- Build and manage vendor scorecards
- Lead root cause analysis for recurring issues
- Drive CAPA programs with measurable results
Continuous Improvement
- Analyze quality data trends to reduce defects, returns, and delays
- Standardize SOPs, manuals, and inspection protocols
- Deliver training programs for internal teams and manufacturing partners

Qualifications

Responsibilities
- Play a key role in the month end financial statement close process by preparing month end journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Coordinate with internal & external auditors as needed
- Prepare the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and supporting financial reporting packages.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and other financial regulations.
- Prepares the budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Prepares various scenarios for forward looking finance requests as needed
- Implement and improve financial reporting processes and internal controls.

Gibbs Giden is seeking exceptional attorneys (with 3+ years of experience) in corporate transactions/M&A, construction, real estate, and/or complex business/civil litigation to join our team in any of our Westlake Village, Los Angeles, Irvine or San Jose offices, with the opportunity to remotely from time to time. Attorneys with a practice in compatible or even different practice areas (e.g., employment, IP, estate planning, tax, land use, etc.) are welcome to apply as the firm is always looking to broaden our ability to serve clients in a wide variety of transactions or litigation matters. If the applicant is looking to join one of our existing practice groups, a basic understanding of real property, development, construction, insurance and the commercial code is welcome, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Qualifications

Pay Range
- $150,000 - $200,000+ (depending on experience). Pay range information is provided in compliance with SB1162 (California’s pay transparency law); actual pay may vary based on a variety of factors, including applicable experience.
The Manufacturing Accountant / Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing the financial activities related to manufacturing operations, ensuring accurate cost accounting, and supporting strategic business decisions. This role works closely with production, operations, and finance teams to manage inventory, analyze variances, and ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day accounting functions for manufacturing operations, including cost accounting and inventory management.
- Prepare and analyze standard cost reports, identify cost variances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor and report on production costs, labor, and materials, ensuring accuracy in the accounting system.
- Reconcile inventory balances and assist with physical inventory counts.
- Collaborate with operations and production teams to review budgets and forecasts.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and relevant accounting standards.
- Provide management with key financial and operational analysis to support strategic initiatives.
- Assist with internal and external audits and implement process improvements where applicable.
- Mentor, support, and provide guidance to junior accounting staff, as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
- 3+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong background in cost accounting.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Solid understanding of GAAP and cost accounting principles.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
