Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end system execution of embedded infotainment ECUs, overseeing feature development, systems integration, validation, and delivery timelines.
- Guide teams in defining requirements, building performance models, and validating feature implementation to ensure a premium user experience and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate closely with hardware and board engineering groups to optimize architecture for power, interface compatibility, audio/video pipelines, and system performance.
- Coordinate the development and review of schematics and PCBs, track thermal and EMI risks, and manage hardware validation across multiple development builds.
- Spearhead the integration of ECUs into vehicle networks, planning and executing system-level and in-vehicle testing, and ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Partner with SoC and software teams on silicon selection, bootloader and operating system integration, and system stability improvements.
- Interface regularly with suppliers, contract manufacturers, and cross-functional teams, ensuring that all deliverables meet requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Drive alignment between engineering, HMI, cloud, and connectivity teams, supporting cross-domain initiatives.
- Proactively address system ambiguity, triage hardware/software issues, and escalate risks to drive to closure with all partners.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or related discipline required; Master's preferred.
- At least 12 years' experience driving complex systems engineering initiatives, especially for embedded infotainment ECUs, with expertise in SoC, hardware, and vehicle integration.
- Demonstrated ability to architect, integrate, and validate high-performance systems spanning processor, board, and vehicle domains.
- Proficient background in ARM SoC platforms, memory and storage subsystems, peripheral interfaces such as PCIe and USB, and multimedia (audio/display) pipelines.
- Hands-on skills with embedded Linux/RTOS, bootloaders, board-level bring-up, schematic/layout review, and cross-domain debugging.
- Extensive knowledge of automotive communication networks (CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet) and experience leading cross-functional validation efforts.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, influencing, and communication abilities; adept at navigating organizational complexities and driving clarity and execution across teams.
- Experience in strategies for system safety, with preferred exposure to ISO 26262 and cybersecurity standards.
- Familiarity with Android Automotive, QNX, OTA update management, and infotainment stack optimization is a plus.

Responsibilities
Responsible for installation, inspection, maintenance, repair, modification, testing, and fabrication of the Reliable-designed mechanical, electromechanical, and electrical/avionics assemblies, harnessing, interconnects, and other commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) products
Conduct design for excellence (DFx) reviews to evaluate designs for cost, producibility, inspectability, consistency, adequacy, accuracy, and conformance to requirements
Collaborate with design, quality, and certification teams to embed manufacturability, compliance, and risk mitigation in all phases of product development (e.g., prototype, R&D, certification, and production)
Develop and ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, quality management system, technical bulletins, engineering orders, service bulletins, and airworthiness directives
Develop processes to ensure accurate, current, and complete documentation (installation and inspection records, logbook entries, etc.) is utilized and maintained
Lead root-cause analysis and implement timely corrective actions to maintain schedule, quality, and reliability
Ensure an adequate supply of tools, serviceable parts, components, and consumables necessary for aircraft servicing and maintenance is maintained
Oversee routine/non-routine aircraft installations, inspections, and maintenance to ensure aircraft safety and availability across multiple airframes
Basic Success Criteria
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, aerospace, systems engineering, or 7+ years of relevant experience leading aircraft maintenance/modification operations
7+ years of aircraft design, manufacturing, inspection, and/or testing experience

As a Systems Safety Engineer at Reliable Robotics, you will be a part of the Systems & Safety team and will report to the Systems & Safety Manager. The Systems & Safety Team is responsible for architecting systems which support novel safety-critical functions, establishing development methodologies for new technologies, and comply with the federal regulations.

In your role as a Systems Safety Engineer you will contribute to the development and architectural design supporting the delivery of prototypes and certifiable safety-critical flight systems in a dynamic start-up work environment.
You will have these responsibilities:
Apply systems safety methodologies as defined by industry standards
Develop new processes / methodologies used to certify autonomous / remote operations
Perform safety activities in coordination with design, development and verification of aviation systems including: Generate safety artifacts such as FHAs & Safety Assessments for aircraft, systems and equipment. Generate reliability or testability assessments to support safety activities. Validate safety requirements in collaboration with systems teams. Ensure consistency between the safety activities and development activities.
Support flight operations with safety of flight assessments for experimental operations

Responsibilities
Develop and manage supplier relationships to ensure they meet or exceed manufacturing, testing, inspection, quality, performance, and reliability requirements
Develop design for excellence (DFx) processes, and conduct reviews to evaluate designs for cost, producibility, inspectability, consistency, adequacy, accuracy, and conformance to requirements
Develop supplier qualification processes and conduct regular reviews
Collaborate with design, quality, and certification teams to embed producibility/manufacturability, compliance, and risk mitigation in all phases of product development (e.g., prototype, R&D, certification, and production)
Develop quality control plans and inspection infrastructure, including dimensional inspection and functional testing
Develop and ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, quality management systems, and engineering change orders
Develop processes to ensure accurate, current, and complete documentation (work instructions, inspections, tests, records, etc.) is utilized and maintained
Lead root-cause analysis and implement timely corrective actions to maintain schedule, quality, and reliability
Basic Success Criteria
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace engineering, or a related field of study
5+ years of manufacturing, design, and/or testing experience
2+ years of experience with computer-aided design (CAD) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software, such as NX and Teamcenter
Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) experience
Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) experience
Preferred Success Criteria
Experience with CNC machinery (lathe, mill, waterjet, laser cutter, EDM)
Precision sheet-metal or plastic molding tooling design experience
Experience with industry or regulatory requirements such as AS9100, CFR 14 CFR 21.137, and/or 14 CFR Part 145
Research and Development (R&D) or New Product Introduction (NPI) experience
