Summary/Objective
The Machine Shop Supervisor will direct and coordinate all activities related to the department to maximize productivity and minimize cost while achieving safety, quality, and throughput goals. The supervisor works in close collaboration with the Plant Manager and sets daily and weekly schedules for machine assignments, adjusting for absences and evolving production priorities.
Essential Functions

- Oversee all CNC and manual machine centers, lathes, mills, all support equipment, and personnel in support of on-time delivery and quality.
- In charge of personnel, set ups and operation of all CNC and manual machines that perform a variety of processing operations

The Role We Want You For
As an MEP Project Manager with SEI, you will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical, electrical, process (MEP), and associated construction scopes for Clayco projects. The Network Administrator is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization’s network infrastructure to ensure secure, reliable connectivity across offices, jobsites, and remote locations. This role ensures critical systems are accessible and supported, provides day-to-day network operations, and plays a key role in supporting field-based connectivity, low-voltage projects, and infrastructure planning.
Principal Duties and Accountabilities:
- Manage and maintain all aspects of local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and wireless networks across the organization.

Benefits and Compensation:
- The range for this position has been established at $78,000 to $110,000 per year and is U.S. Engineering’s good faith and reasonable estimate at the time of the posting. The compensation offered to the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.

Minimum Qualifications

About the Role
As the Preconstruction Manager, you will oversee the early stages of project development—creating detailed, accurate estimates and proposals that set each project up for success. You’ll work closely with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to bring ideas to life, from conceptual budgeting through final pricing. This position is ideal for someone who combines technical estimating expertise with strategic thinking and a passion for building strong industry relationships.
What You’ll Do
- Lead preconstruction and estimating efforts for large-scale commercial projects valued between $30–100 million.
- Review and analyze drawings, specifications, and design concepts to prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and detailed cost estimates.
- Develop budgets and cost models using historical data, market trends, and competitive analysis.
- Identify and present value-engineering opportunities that align with project goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers; ensure complete and competitive coverage on bid day.
- Prepare clear, detailed proposals, bid packages, and presentations for clients and partners.
- Support business development by reviewing conceptual budgets and providing cost guidance during early design phases.
- Collaborate with project management teams to ensure seamless handoff from preconstruction to construction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil/Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in preconstruction, estimating, or turnkey project management within the commercial construction industry.
- Proven success managing estimates and bids for projects in the $30–100 million range.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with PlanSwift, Bluebeam, and iSqft preferred.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to lead teams, coordinate with stakeholders, and present effectively to clients.
- A proactive mindset, attention to detail, and commitment to collaboration and follow-through.
