As a Fire Protection Design Engineer, you will support critical national security and nuclear facility operations at the Savannah River Site. In this role, you will design and implement fire detection and alarm systems that protect personnel, facilities, and mission-critical infrastructure. Your engineering expertise will help ensure compliance with national safety standards while enabling safe and reliable operation of complex DOE facilities.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide design engineering support for fire protection systems including fire alarm, detection, and signaling systems.
  • Perform engineering task analysis, field walkdowns, and design development for facility fire protection systems.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide and support oversight for Nuclear Safety Federal Oversight

  • Provide and or support nuclear security oversight for physical security, information security, technical security, personnel security, cyber security, nuclear material control and accountability, including vulnerability assessment reviews, classification reviews, physical security system reviews, information security reviews, and DOE Information and Facility Security Plan reviews, nuclear security integration throughout the design and construction evolution including change implementation and configuration control,
