Coastal Protection Engineering LLC (CPE), a multidisciplined coastal consulting firm with a national presence and a growing coastal engineering practice, is seeking a Coastal Numerical Modeler to join our Boca Raton, FL office. The successful candidate will work closely with our team of experienced coastal engineers and scientists on numerical modeling studies of coastal processes, including beach and dune restoration, inlet management, coastal resiliency, and coastal flooding projects throughout the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Perform numerical modeling in support of coastal processes (Waves, flows, sediment transport, coastal morphology change) in support of coastal engineering projects such as beach dune and marsh restoration, coastal structures, inlet management, coastal resiliency and coastal flooding.
• Coordinate and establish effective working relationships with team members, project managers, and clients.
• Conduct numerical modeling studies from start to finish including pre-processing data, creating modeling grids, developing and implement boundary conditions, conducting numerical model calibration, project scenario simulations, post processing results, creation of modeling graphics and videos and preparation of final deliverables including technical report and power point presentations.
• Participate in project decisions regarding numerical modeling scope and scheduling.
• Prepare various project documents including reports, technical memorandums and technical papers to be published in specialized journals.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and master’s degree in Coastal Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Oceanography or related fields.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience with numerical modeling of coastal and estuarine systems, including coastal hydrodynamics, sediment transport, and morphology change, utilizing Delft3D and XBeach modelling suites.
• Experience with Matlab programming, specifically development of pre- and post-processing scripts for Delft3D applications.
• Experience with wave and tide schematization for long-term morphology change simulations of beaches and inlets.
• Willingness and availability to travel to other offices and client sites on occasion.
• Strong background in coastal processes.
• Proficient English communication skills (oral and written).
• Be able to legally work in the USA.

Additional Desired Qualifications

The following additional qualifications are not mandatory but will be viewed favorably:

• Experience with other coastal numerical model software such as the SMC (USACE), SMS (IHE-Cantabria), Genesis, SBEACH, C-Shore, Bouss2D, Beach-Fx, Fun Wave, Mike21, Litpack, ADCIRC, SLOSH, HEC-2, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SWMM/XPSWMM.
• Experience with other programming languages such as Python and C++.
• Experience with CAD and GIS.
• Experience with stormwater hydrology and hydrologic modeling.
• Experience modeling coastal flooding.
• Experience with operational forecasts and real time data assimilation by models.

The Opportunity:
The University of Central Florida (UCF) department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering invites enthusiastic applications from highly motivated and talented individuals for a Postdoctoral Scholar position with focus on experimental testing of high-temperature materials, solar receivers, and thermochemical reactors. The Post Doctoral Scholar will be supported by a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Solar Energy Technologies Office (SETO) funded three-year project, focusing on the design and lab-scale testing of high-temperature thermochemical reactors for solar and other renewable energy conversion and storage. The scholar will co-lead a collaborative research team with members from three universities, one clean energy start-up company, and a DOE national laboratory (Sandia) for a prototype reactor development and demonstration. The scholar will also help Dr. Li organize group meetings, co-mentor graduate and undergraduate students, and publish high-impact scientific journal articles and conference papers.

Minimum Qualifications:

• PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Science and Engineering, or a very closely aligned field.

As a NOC Technician, you will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining our clients' network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Your expertise in SD-WAN networking and firewall management will be essential in proactively identifying and resolving network issues and implementing appropriate solutions. Duties and Responsibilities:

About the Role

The Estimator will for prepare and manage estimating, risk analysis, bids, proposals, and contract administration for projects. This includes leading the bid review process, ensuring submission of proposals or bid delivery to customers, and preparing final bids/proposals.

Responsibilities

• Input and update all opportunities into the project management system’s database.
• Review and supply managers with a project survey from sales to determine risk and feasibility of potential projects.
• Procure all plans and specifications for all projects accepted by management.

Qualifications

• Prior excavation estimating experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred.
• 3 years construction estimating experience; ideally with underground utility and/or CIPP preferred.

Role Summary

The Dealer Sales Consultant is charged with developing long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with builders, contractors, architects, trade organizations, glazing sub-contractors, and consumer clients; and is responsible for all practices and aspects pertaining to generating high-volume, profitable sales-service area within the Commercial segment while achieving maximum market penetration with as few service requirements as possible.
