Feldesman LLP, a boutique law firm with offices in Washington, DC and Sacramento, CA, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Litigation Attorney to join its Sacramento office.
Our Sacramento litigation team represents federally qualified health centers (FQHCs), physicians, air ambulance companies, hospitals, and other health care providers in reimbursement disputes and appeals involving commercial payors and the Medi-Cal program. In addition to litigating matters in federal and state courts and administrative proceedings, the team also advises clients in connection with investigations, audits, and a range of regulatory and dispute-related matters.
The ideal candidate will have 7–9 years of litigation experience, including strong legal research and writing skills and experience with evidentiary proceedings, motion practice, and discovery. Experience in provider–payor disputes and/or litigating against or on behalf of government entities is a plus. The successful candidate will be intellectually curious, energetic, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and collaboratively on complex legal matters.
Responsibilities:
- Handle litigation matters, including legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, depositions, document production, and other discovery-related activities.
- Assist in developing litigation strategy and managing case timelines and deadlines.
- Represent clients in trials, hearings, administrative appeals, arbitrations, mediations, investigations, audits, and other dispute-related proceedings.
- Draft dispositive and non-dispositive motions and prepare written submissions for courts and administrative tribunals.
- Analyze federal and state health care regulations in connection with litigation and regulatory disputes.
- Assist clients in responding to government investigations, subpoenas, civil investigative demands, and enforcement actions.
- Prepare fact and expert witnesses for depositions, hearings, and trial.
- Collaborate with team members and lead counsel on case strategy and client representation.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
- Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
- 7–9 years of litigation experience, preferably in health care, regulatory, government enforcement, or complex civil litigation.
- Experience with motion practice, discovery, depositions, and case management in federal or state courts.
- Experience representing clients in court or administrative proceedings, investigations, audits, or regulatory disputes.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Judicial clerkship experience and familiarity with health care regulatory frameworks (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid) are a plus.
- Ability to work in person at the Sacramento office a minimum of four days per week.

The good faith base salary range for this position is $170,000 to $205,000 per year. The actual salary rate offered to candidates within that range will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, years of relevant experience, subject matter expertise, education, demonstrated litigation skill, and the candidate's overall qualifications for the position as assessed by the Firm.

Job Title: Senior Distribution Center Manager
Location: Remote & Travel Required
Reports to: Regional Operations General Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Note: This operation runs 24/7, and individual schedules are determined by volume and client needs. Weekend availability is required and the facility is only closed three days each year.
Job Purpose:
Manage the day-to-day operations of a distribution center in alignment with financial and operational goals, and oversee the proper administration of operational plans for the site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan warehouse layout and storage areas considering turnover, size, weight, and related factors of items stored.
- Manage financial reporting of the warehouse.
- Design, create, and implement production planning for the warehouse.
- Advise employees on care and preservation of items, and methods for handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock.
- Review records and recommend corrective actions for non-usable, slow-moving, or excess stock.
- Verify records for accuracy and compliance, and assess stock levels.
- Schedule special and periodic inventories.
- Investigate discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommend solutions.
- Determine work procedures, prepare schedules, and expedite workflow.
- Issue instructions and assign duties, ensuring work meets policies and procedures.
- Standardize procedures to improve efficiency.
- Maintain harmony among workers and resolve grievances.
- Adjust errors and complaints as necessary.
- Manage 4–12 subordinate managers overseeing departmental supervisors and a total of 50–100 employees.
- Execute managerial responsibilities in line with organizational policies and applicable laws, including training, work planning, performance appraisals, discipline, complaint resolution, and implementation of operational procedures.
Qualifications:
- Ability to interact with all levels of management with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience managing and leading a diverse workforce.
- Strong organizational skills and teamwork orientation.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus.
- Knowledge of distribution center operations.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work standing or sitting for extended periods.
- Ability to traverse and access all areas of a warehouse.
- Work in a distribution center with varying temperatures.
- Ability to safely operate around heavy equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, clamps, scissor lifts) in a fast-paced environment.

- Anesthesia Care Team model with medical direction.

- No call, no weekends, no holidays.
- Busy outpatient center with approximately 500 cases/month, 6 ORs, 1 GI room.
- Great variety of cases, including orthopedics, complex ENT, podiatry, otolaryngology, reconstructive plastics, gynecology, cataracts and retina, general surgery, and interventional GI procedures.
- Surgery center is attached to the main hospital, so we routinely do ASA 3 & 4 patients with the ability to admit overnight as needed. Occasional healthy pediatric patients for outpatient procedures.
