The Senior Estimator responsible for preparing budgets, estimates and pre- bid packages for construction projects to be built for clients under the CM at Risk guaranteed maximum pricing structure.
Responsibilities also include working with the project management team in establishing a bidders list, soliciting and evaluating subcontractor proposals and scopes of work, preparing quantity surveys and reviewing project plans and specifications for constructability and value engineering in all CSI (Construction Specification Institute) categories of work.
The Senior Estimator will supervise a team of estimators and cost engineers who support departmental and organizational goals through their efforts.
Responsibilities includes (but may not be limited to):

Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience as Estimator / Sr. Estimator in commercial construction industry
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or Civil Engineering preferred but not required

Position Summary
This position is responsible for managing a project team for a single large complex project or multiple smaller projects, including providing coaching and performance feedback. In addition, this role serves as the primary point of contact for the project.
Position Details
- Develops client relationships by providing project status updates to client and leadership
- Partners with management to develop and implement project strategies.
- Manage budget reports, cost and revenue projections, change orders, etc. for project.
- Participates in project meetings with internal departments to discuss project schedule and issues as needed.
- Partners with stakeholders to ensure scope and direction of project is on schedule.
- Delegates work and serves as mentor to project team. Provides coaching and performance feedback as necessary.
Qualifications
- Expert knowledge of applicable systems design, such as HVAC, plumbing, etc., as well as all design engineering aspect
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communication with all levels of employees, clients and general contractors
- Proven ability to manage multiple larger complex projects
- Strong public speaking ability
- Ability to present proposals to clients
- Strong computer skills, including ERP and Microsoft Office Products, such as Excel
- Four-year degree in Engineering, or applicable experience
- Minimum 7 years' experience
Location: San Mateo, CA (hybrid 2 days onsite a week)
AI System Development
- Search & Recommendation Systems: Lead the design and implementation of advanced Search, Ranking, and Recommendation systems to help customers navigate millions of technical products.
- Doc Extraction & NLP: Develop high-precision NLP and document extraction pipelines to digitize and structure complex construction data from unstructured sources.
- Advanced Architecture: Research and implement novel deep learning architectures, focusing on hybrid retrieval models and fine-tuned LLMs.
- Production Deployment: Develop, train, and deploy deep learning and machine learning models that are scalable, extensible, and integrated into production environments.
- Agentic Workflows: Architect autonomous or semi-autonomous agents that can plan and execute multi-step discovery tasks.
Full Product Lifecycle Participation
- Technical Leadership: Collaborate with product managers and UX designers to integrate AI components into fully functional systems, providing technical guidance on feasibility and architecture.
- End-to-End Ownership: Participate in the complete product lifecycle—from concept design to development, integration, testing, and deployment.
Scalable Solutions
- High-Volume Data: Build products that handle large data volumes efficiently while remaining highly scalable for onboarding new clients.
- Pipeline Design: Design complete end-to-end data and ML pipelines, ensuring seamless integration and monitoring in production.
Research & Collaboration
- R&D Initiatives: Work closely with the leadership team on research efforts to explore cutting-edge technologies, such as vector databases and embedding-based retrieval.
- Excellence Standards: Uphold a culture of engineering excellence by maintaining high standards in code quality, documentation, and innovation
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (PhD preferred) in Science or Engineering with strong programming and analytical skills.
- ML Expertise: Strong conceptual understanding of machine learning principles, specifically in NLP, Search, or Ranking.
- Technical Skills: Hands-on experience implementing ML projects in Python using libraries like NumPy, scikit-learn, and pandas.
- Deep Learning: Proficiency in training and fine-tuning deep learning models using PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead technical initiatives from concept to operation while navigating complex challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
- Specialized Infrastructure: Deep experience with Vector Databases (e.g., Pinecone, Milvus) and optimizing embedding models for retrieval.
- Fine-tuning: Experience fine-tuning LLMs for specialized domain tasks and ranking signals.
- AI Agent Orchestration: Hands-on experience with agentic frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, AutoGen, or CrewAI) for building complex, multi-step reasoning chains.
- Planning & Memory: Experience implementing agentic "memory" (long-term/short-term) and planning strategies (like ReAct or Tree of Thoughts).
- Data Structures: Expert knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
- Research & Community: A track record of publications in top-tier conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, SIGIR, KDD, ACL) or significant contributions to open-source ML projects.

We design and develop Pulsed Electric Field Systems to achieve meaningful and lasting therapeutic outcomes for patients.
The Post Market Surveillance Analyst will aid in the continued maintenance and improvement of the Post-Market Surveillance program at Galvanize Therapeutics, specifically the complaint handling system. Work cross-functionally to ensure the complaints and Post-Market Surveillance program continues to function properly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the complaint handling process, including but not limited to MDR reporting, tracking and trending of complaints, and general oversight of individual complaint investigations. Maintain the PMS plans and reports as necessary.
• Oversee complaint handling with Customer Service, including but not limited to determining
reportability of complaints and overall complaint investigation oversight, review and closure.
• Support Regulatory in reporting of MDRs to appropriate authorities.
• Maintain and improve the complaint tracking and trending process for all Products.
• Collect and analyze data necessary for routine reports and updates to executive leadership.
• Monitor applicable standards updates and help update documents accordingly.
• Support Regulatory and Quality with internal and external audits.
Key Requirements
Education and Training: Bachelor's degree in science, math, or engineering preferred.
Skills and Experience: Organized and motivated team player with proficiency in PowerBI, Microsoft Word and Excel. Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in Quality or Regulatory affairs at a Medical Device company or similar industry. Experience with complaint handling and root cause investigations for disposables and/or capital equipment preferred.
Other: Hybrid work options available but must be available to work in the office 2-3 days/week.
