PURPOSE AND SCOPE

Ensure that all required tooling is in place andmeetsengineering designcriteria.
Responsible for the facility management of the Horn Lake facility on aday-to-daybasis.This includes theloadingdock equipment,forklifts, production equipment,machines,and operation of the mechanical equipment from plumbing to electrical.This position alsois responsible for theday-to-dayquality audits and feedback to the production team on a daily/weekly basis.
Ensure compliance withthe engineeringbudget that is in place on an annual basis.
Review/ order engineered product to ensure product structures and BOM's are correct.Work with Applications and Engineering to build labor and quality standards asrequired. He/she willassistandrecommend inthe automation of equipment and processes toassistin the ergonomic and productivity of manufacturing RHPC products.
In conjunction with manufacturing andpurchasing, complete Value Analysis projects to reduce current costs through redesign and/or use of alternate components.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 5S to enhance efficiency, reducewasteand improve product quality.
Manage capital projects, including equipmentselection, layout planning, and justification for investment.
Analyze production metrics and root cause issues to improve, reduce downtime, and enhance process liability.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Mechanical,Industrial, or ManufacturingEngineeringor related fieldas well as five+years related experience including supervisory responsibility (or project management responsibilities) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have working knowledge of Solid works and AutoCAD(or equivalent software).Thorough knowledge of BOM structures and itemmastersasrequiredfor manufacturing and engineering support.
In addition, knowledge of JD Edwardsrequiredas needed for engineering purposes.

Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will provide key support in actively improving and driving processes and productivity. Responsibilities:
- Support new business opportunities by compiling detailed cost estimates that outline the manufacturing plan for that product (including process flow, equipment, hours, etc.)
- Support design for manufacturing optimization on new product development and phase gate KPI.
- Estimate manufacturing cost, determine time standards, and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines.
- Compile a detailed timeline for all manufacturing launch activities, such as facilities, people, materials, processes, training, validation, etc., needed to support the start of production.
- Responsible for all tooling and technical engineering support to implement new products and processes into production. Selects and creates SOW, Capex, designs, installs, and modifies equipment and fixtures for new product launches and existing products.
- Leads process design functions to determine product flow through the manufacturing cell by use of current engineering and continuous improvement techniques. Establishes resource requirements and material flow using industrial engineering techniques and internal Company standards to establish optimum cell configuration (creation of the most efficient manufacturing cell from material inflow, through production, to outflow).
- Analyzes various product structures and processes in order to eliminate inefficiencies and reduce manufacturing costs. Performs DOE analysis to determine optimum operating parameters by manipulating variables and analyzing how they interact to achieve the most efficient cell, measured in terms of processing time, quality, and cost.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of Mechanical, Industrial engineering experience, master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years design experience (Pro-E, AutoCAD, SolidWorks- preferably in tooling, fixture, and equipment design, including plant layout) preferred
- Experience in NPI, Automation & Analytics, ERP/MES, Bill of Process, Welding, and Error Proofing.
- Knowledgeable in high and low volume manufacturing (APQP, prototyping, GD&T, OEE, equipment and supplier selection, DFM, 8D, process capability, CAD, and PLM systems).

- Participate in the updating of manufacturing standards as a result of performance improvements
- Develop work cell layouts in an effort to optimize material flow and support 5S and visual management initiatives
- Initiate new equipment and technologies to maintain the company’s competitive advantage; including detailed scope definitions with the plant (capabilities, throughput, and equipment controls including function block diagrams, process parameters, and data acquisition requirements), RFQ documents, and execution timeline plans (including facility preparation, installation, H&S, training, production ramp-up, etc.).

The Role
The Assistant Project Manager (APM) owns and facilitates tasks as outlined by the Project Manager or Project Executive, within the projects assigned.
Assistant Project Managers provide support and communication for successful project completion. APM’s provide a focus on the day-to-day details of these projects, including relaying correspondence between field and office (both internally and externally), ordering equipment, and managing project documentation. The Assistant Project Manager’s duties and responsibilities may be specialized toward HVAC and Plumbing Plan Spec type projects, Design/Build type projects or a combination of both depending on the experience and qualifications of the individual.
- Work with the department leader on business/personal development plan
- Develop submittal packages and check for accuracy compared to drawings and building standards.
- Draft equipment POs and check for accuracy compared to drawings, submittals, quotes, and building standards.
- Update equipment procurement logs.

- Understand construction schedules and how they were developed.
- Assess drawing updates and determine if there are scope impacts.
- Coordinate with the field, client, subcontractors, and vendors.

The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $110,000. (The compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience).

- Prepare daily inspection reports and provide recommendations for corrective actions when quality issues are identified
- Establish and maintain quality assurance policies, procedures, and quality manuals supporting ISO 9001:2015 and ASME certification standards
Fabrication Quality Oversight
- Perform and document in-process inspections and verification for piping, plumbing, and sheet metal fabrication
- Ensure fabricated products meet project design specifications, applicable codes, and client requirements
- Inspect fabrication documentation and maintain records required for quality compliance and project documentation
- Prepare project turnover documentation and quality packages for completed work
Welding & NDE Management
- Test and certify welders and welding procedures according to applicable codes
- Maintain welder continuity logs in compliance with industry standards
- Coordinate and schedule contract Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) testing as required
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure all quality control activities comply with industry regulations, codes, and project standards
- Monitor regulatory changes affecting fabrication and piping standards and communicate updates to internal teams
Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement
- Analyze quality metrics, trends, and performance data to identify opportunities for process improvement and defect reduction
- Conduct root cause analysis and support corrective and preventative actions
- Lead or support cross-functional quality improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and product quality
Estimating & Bid Support
- Review Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and assist estimating teams with quality requirements and bid specifications
- Support cost estimating efforts related to fabrication processes and project requirements
- Utilize established KPI metrics to determine performance factors and labor hour calculations during estimate development
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with estimating, engineering, project planning, and fabrication teams to resolve quality concerns and implement corrective actions
- Support development of fabrication strategies for new projects or process improvements
Training & Team Development
- Provide training, coaching, and mentorship to quality control personnel and fabrication staff on quality standards and best practices
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement throughout fabrication operations
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of quality control experience within pipe fabrication, industrial/process piping, or mechanical subcontractor environments
- Experience working in a fabrication shop environment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and fabrication documentation
- Experience with cost estimating related to fabrication and piping work
- Knowledge of pipe fabrication methods, materials, and project specifications
- Familiarity with process piping unit rates and estimating references such as ’73 Price Book or Page & Nations
- Strong analytical, documentation, and quality inspection skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced fabrication environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with modular estimating
- Experience utilizing KPI metrics for labor hour build-up and performance factors
- Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification preferred
- ASNT Level II certification in ASME B31 piping preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
