You will also perform prior authorizations for medications, procedures, and imaging, complete chart prep, follow up on imaging orders, and other tasks as needed.

The Neuroscience Institute is now hiring for a team-oriented and personable Medical Assistant for our Neurosurgery Clinic located on the Boise Regional Medical Center campus!
Position Summary & Highlights:This Medical Assistant position will provide direct support to two providers in the clinic.

As the regional provider of advanced neurological services, Saint Alphonsus neurologists provide care for patients with complex conditions, neurodegenerative disorders, seizures, and general neurological disease.
Neurologic conditions treated include: Stroke Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA), Movement disorders, including Parkinson’s disease and essential tremors, Neuromuscular dysfunction, Migraine, Multiple sclerosis, Memory conditions, including dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.
The Neurosurgery clinic team works in tandem with our neurosurgical team as well as supporting our neuro-ophthalmologist who is the only one in the state of Idaho!
In addition to rooming patients and taking vitals, you will perform prior authorizations for medications, procedures, and imaging.
Complete chart prep, follow up on imaging orders, calling patients with surgery instructions, and an occasional set up for a procedure.
