Compensation & Benefits

The program is supported by a multidisciplinary team of patient coordinators, pharmacists, nurse navigators, social work, and research staff, ensuring comprehensive and seamless patient care. Faculty have access to dedicated right heart catheterization facility, advanced echocardiography, and close collaborations with cardiology (including adult congenital heart disease), thoracic surgery, and radiology for complex case management and advanced interventions.
The program also leads our Pulmonary Embolism Response Team (PERT), an integrated multidisciplinary program providing rapid evaluation and management of high-risk PE, with active participation from pulmonary, cardiology, interventional radiology, and thoracic surgery.
The faculty will maintain an academic practice that encompasses pulmonary and critical care services. Providing inpatient and outpatient care for patients with pulmonary hypertension and other pulmonary vascular diseases.
Perform and interpret right heart catheterizations, vasodilator testing, and advanced hemodynamic assessments.
Mentor and teach fellows, residents, and students in pulmonary vascular medicine.
Participate in clinical trials, translational research, and quality improvement initiatives.
Contribute to ongoing efforts with key leadership opportunities toward transitioning the program from a Regional Clinical Program to Center of Comprehensive Care designation under the Pulmonary Hypertension Association.
The candidate will join an active and collegial academic division that includes faculty at three major teaching hospitals, Loma Linda University Medical Center, Loma Linda VA Medical Center, and Riverside University Health System. Serving as the referral center for the Inland Empire, we provide comprehensive care for women experiencing the most complex obstetric and gynecologic challenges. With over 4000 babies delivered each year , our faculty collaborate closely with Loma Linda’s specialists in the region's largest NICU , integrating pediatric surgery, cardiology, and other specialties to deliver multidisciplinary care tailored to each family’s needs.
Through our partnership with SAC Health , we provide vital OBGYN care to underserved individuals and families. SAC Health is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) offering a wide range of services, including prenatal care, mental health support, and chronic disease management. This partnership demonstrates our commitment to addressing health disparities and delivering compassionate care to the most vulnerable in our community.

~ Our department recognizes the importance of flexibility to maintain balance and well-being. Faculty can opt for reduced work schedules with proportional salary adjustments or pursue additional productivity to enhance their compensation.
We also maintain a manageable call structure with capped 24-hour shifts and post-call recovery days. A planned laborist program will further reduce call burdens, providing greater flexibility and support for faculty.
Our expertise in surgical and clinical education underpins an exceptional residency training program . Faculty collaborate with residents on research projects during their training, contributing to advancements that directly improve patient care in areas like hypertensive disorders of pregnancy and placenta accreta spectrum management.

Loma Linda Faculty Medical Group is seeking a passionate Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) subspecialist to join our esteemed Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. This is an exceptional opportunity to be part of a dynamic academic environment committed to excellence in patient care, education, and research. The MFM Division at LLU provide primarily consultation services for faculty and community practices in the Inland Empire Region, and total care for small pool of extremely high-risk patients. There are specialty clinics dedicated to placenta accreta spectrum and insulin pump management. The MFM Division is currently developing a new fellowship program to support future expansion plans. The new applicant will join a team of 5 full-time MFMs who are academically active, engaging in resident/fellows teaching and clinical research. Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional patient care in Maternal Fetal Medicine to a diverse patient population from San Bernardino and Riverside counties.
  • Engage in teaching, mentoring, and supervising residents, fellows, and medical students in clinical Maternal Fetal Medicine.
  • Participate in a collaborative care model and contribute to clinical research initiatives.
  • Work alongside a multidisciplinary team including a full complement of adult and pediatric subspecialties, advanced practice providers, sonographers, and genetic counselors.
  • Shared home call responsibilities, no after hour in-house call.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine.
  • Eligible for medical licensure in the state of California.
