Role Overview
Oversees, supports, and engages in clinical and administrative tasks to advance Correctional Health's goals and objectives. Delivers medical knowledge, administrative and nursing assistance, and professional liaison services to promote high-quality, efficient, safe, patient-focused care that aligns with best practices and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Leads and oversees all medical services within Correctional Health Services. Partners with the Medical Director of Behavioral Health Services – Correctional Health to provide seamless, integrated care for the served population.
- When assigned, manages quality care for patients in women’s health and adult health services. Applies established medical protocols, spots quality gaps, and drives solutions and innovations. Adapts communication, methods, and engagement to address sensory challenges and unique needs, especially for older adults.
- Builds strong partnerships with the Sheriff’s Department, leadership, vendors, other facilities, staff, patients, and families to support smooth operations and patient-centered health services.
- Contributes to creating, tracking, and updating annual goals and objectives for Correctional Services.
- Recruits, trains, inspires, directs, and assesses provider/physician teams to optimize individual and collective performance, delivering top-tier service to internal and external stakeholders. Functions as supervising physician and delegating prescriptive authority for advanced practice providers; consults for nursing leaders. Delivers and assesses medical training for residents, students, and advanced providers, adhering to guidelines for diagnosis, treatment, and service delivery. Ensures staff access professional growth opportunities.
- Acts as a key connector between jail physicians and Community Oriented Primary Care (COPC) system, Homeless Outreach Medical Services (HOMES) program, specialty clinics, emergency department, and inpatient units.
- Keeps current on relevant rules, regulations, policies, laws, and standards affecting Correctional Health. Creates robust internal controls to ensure compliance with state/federal laws, accreditation requirements, and health plan guidelines. Helps develop and roll out medical procedures for clinical teams; consults experts as needed for full compliance.
- Supports the creation and rollout of the Correctional Health orientation program, health education initiatives, and wellness programs.
- Supervises the Associate Director of Performance Improvement in managing the Correctional Health quality program. Reviews and refines job designs, processes, and workflows to boost effectiveness, output, and efficiency in line with departmental goals.
- Aids in physician recruitment efforts and spearheads retention strategies for Correctional Health providers.
- Remains current on medical advancements, trends, and innovations through seminars, workshops, journals, professional groups, and ongoing licensure. Applies new insights to daily practices.
- Demonstrates collaborative, respectful, high-excellence physician care by prioritizing exceptional patient experiences—fostering human connections, respect, active listening, clear care explanations, and standardized protocols.
- Collaborates across teams to build unified groups and serves as an active, committed contributor toward leadership's objectives.
Submission Requirements
- Must hold an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Medical Association (AMA) approved residency in the relevant specialty. [REQUIRED]
- Must have 5+ years of management experience in clinical medical programs. [REQUIRED]

What We Offer
- Compensation: Anticipated salary range of $600,000 - $650,000 per year + productivity bonus. The salary range listed is an estimate and is determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s relevant education, experience and skills and an evaluation of internal pay equity.

Major Responsibilities
- Work with patients to discuss and understand treatment options and assist in managing the side effects and symptoms of the treatment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families and center team members.
- Capable of handling stressful situations, making informed decisions and giving emotional support to patients and their families.
- Document and coordinate treatment plans for each patient.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as keeping patients notes and records updated, writing prescriptions, providing education information to patients and monitoring treatment plans.

- Promote cooperation and teamwork among other physicians and team members of the clinic.
- Comply with all credentialing, quality assurance and utilization review criteria that are adopted by the Company.

- Participate in continuing education programs that are required to maintain clinical competency.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- MD or DO with medical training specifically in oncology and or hematology-oncology.
- Must be Board certified and/or Board eligible in hematology/oncology with a state license in good standing.
- If Board eligible, must be willing to take the boards and successfully pass within 12 months.
- Ability to interpret clinical, genomic and efficacy data.
- Motivated to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical skills to operate medical equipment and tools related to cancer treatment.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, technicians, fellow medical professionals and other clinic team members.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Physician shall be compliant to complete and clear necessary privileging, credentialing, and licensing applications to remain in good standing in accordance with the bylaws, policies, procedures, rules and regulations of the Group and all hospitals in which the physician holds clinical privileges.

Job Description
Under provider direction, the RN provides skilled nursing care to patients in a variety of clinical settings. Job Summary and QualificationsThe Director is responsible for the care given to patients within 5 North; day to day departmental operations and productivity; future development and budgetary projections for the service line. The Director ensures 5 North Services maintains the highest degree of efficiency and safety in providing quality care in 5 North including quality improvement, staff competency, inventory control and cost containment, patient satisfaction, staff satisfaction, and physician satisfaction. The Director collaborates and coordinates with efforts of 5 North staff to accomplish the mission of Del Sol Medical Center. The Director leads by example and holds others accountable for adhering to the goals, policies, and procedures of Del Sol Medical Center. Areas of responsibility include 5 North.
- You will promote a multidisciplinary coordination of services, such as, nursing medical, respiratory care, laboratory, pharmaceutical and public relations.
- You will develop, monitor, appraise and analyze budgetary goals and outcomes within the Medical Department. Develops plan, in conjunction with the Administrative Director, for capital resource required to maintain quality care in the 5 North Unit.
- You will administer and appraise Quality Improvement within the services provided.
- You will control processes related to Human Resources; inclusive of hiring, evaluating, terminating, counseling, coaching and development of the staff.
- You will direct and approve the practice of professional nursing and support positions within the services provided to maintain quality patient care through implementation and evaluation of clinical practice standards.
- You will develop, interpret, inspect and review policies and procedures within the services provides.
- You will develop, institute, review and implement Disaster Preparedness policies and procedures for the organization.
- You will collaborate, develop and participate in marketing of the Department, including educational program development, external advertising and working in alliance with local and regional programs.
- You will be responsible for twenty four-hour coverage and problem resolution to the services provided.
What qualifications you will need:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support
- Registered Nurse
- Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma
- Current RN licensure in Texas or compact state Required
- Note: ANCC Orthopedic Nurse Certifications are required within three years of hire date.
- Note: PALS is required within one year of hire date. Note: ACLS is required within six month of hire date.

Job Summary and QualificationsAs a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) at HCA Healthcare, you'll play a key role in delivering safe, high-quality care that puts patients first. Your clinical skills, attention to detail, and compassionate presence help create healing experiences and support a team that's committed to the care and improvement of human life.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing focused nursing care for patients with complex needs by administering medications, managing lines or drains, and assisting with interventions like cardiac monitoring or respiratory support
- Closely observing patients for subtle changes in status - including shifts in heart rhythm, oxygen levels, or neurological signs - and escalating concerns quickly to support early intervention
- Documenting timely, accurate updates that help the care team coordinate effectively in a high-acuity environment
- Helping patients and families understand complex conditions and recovery steps with clarity and comfort
- Working closely with RNs, providers, and specialists to stabilize patients and guide them through the transition from intensive care toward recovery
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
