What You Will Do In Your Role:

• * You will initiate, guide, and direct the coordination of all functions for the Emergency Room.
• * You will function as a resource person for staff members and assist in necessary education of individual members of the nursing staff.

• * You will make decisions regarding activities within the department based on Hospital Administrative Standards, Human Resource Standards, and Department of Nursing Standards in collaboration with the Director in unusual situations.

What qualifications you will need:

• * 3 years of clinical experience required.
• * 1 year of leadership experience preferred.
• * Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing is required.
• * Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.
• * Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date)
• * Current American Heart Association BLS/ACLS Certification is required.
• * TNCC and PALS required.

• Assist with patient activities and care as assigned by the charge nurse/designee as indicated by the patient's plan of care
• Provide for superficial wound care
• Provide for patient safety related to age and condition
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality of information and records at all times
• Provide and maintain a clean, safe environment and perform and/or assist others to perform proper aseptic technique, isolation procedures, and infection control measures
• Assist with the admission, transfer, and discharge of the patient

• Prepare patients and chaperone during examinations/procedures or assists with other patient treatments
• Maintain patient care areas with appropriate supplies
• Assist with patient restraints and maintain precautions; collect, report and document data related to patient needs/emergencies and unusual patient and family behavior
• Travel to all facility locations as required
• Attend staff meetings or other company sponsored or mandated meetings as required
• Perform additional duties as assigned

• High School Diploma or GED, required and completion of one of the following:
  • Completion of Medical Corpsman program and one year of applicable experience (OR)
  • Completion of EMT-P (Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic), AEMT (Advanced-EMT), Licensed Paramedic (LP) course/program and one year of applicable experience (OR)
  • Completion of EMT-B (Emergency Medical Technician-Basic) and 1+ years of emergency room experience as an ER Technician or hospital equivalent experience Oklahoma, North TX, Wisconsin & Pennsylvania markets only (OR)
  • Completion of the first year of education and current enrollment in an accredited School of Nursing and one year of applicable experience (OR)
  • 2+ years of emergency room experience as an ER Technician (OR)
  • 3+ years as a CNA with relevant hospital experience (Wisconsin market only)
  • 3+ years as a Certified Anesthesia Tech/OR Tech experience (Wisconsin market only)
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross, required
• Current ACLS/ALS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required in most markets.
  • Exceptions where it is strongly preferred include Pittsburgh, Oklahoma, El Paso, DFW, and Central PA (WellSpan Hospitals)
  • Wisconsin (required only for EMT-P roles).
• Current PALS certifications through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross, strongly preferred
• Experience with IV start, phlebotomy, and initiation of EKG, strongly preferred
• For the Las Vegas market only, one of the following is required:
  • Active Paramedic (EMT-P) license, maintained throughout employment (OR)

We're looking for Emergency Room RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Kennewick, WA. The right RN should have 1-2 years recent acute care experience. Read below for more requirements.

As an ER Travel Nurse, you will work with a diverse team of caregivers to appropriately evaluate, triage and implement care using correct procedures and physician instructions. RNs should have experience and skill caring for patients in a fast-paced, urgent and emergency environment.

Emergency Room RNs will perform minor medical operations, advise patients and family on illnesses or injuries, and plan long-term care needs. Other responsibilities as an ER Travel Nurse include documenting medical history, checking for any allergies patients might have, obtaining patient vital signs, and monitoring patients' emotional and physical well-being.

As an ER Travel Nurse, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:Provide basic bedside care.Clean and bandage wounds.Provide IV therapy.Maintain supplies and medical equipment.Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.ER Travel Nurses should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty. RNs should be able to easily lift 20 pounds. Moving or lifting of patients may require lifting of up to 50 pounds at times. Because of the fast-paced environment, Emergency Room RNs must possess good skills for coping with stress and be able to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.
