Lactalis American Group, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a 3rd shift Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician based in Belmont, Wisconsin. This position will require the ability to work in a team atmosphere as well as individually to repair, install, adjust, or maintain production and packaging equipment. This will also include equipment that is servo-mechanical as well as electro-mechanically operated. All work needs to be done in a clean sanitary manor as required in a food manufacturing plant. Candidates must be available to work weekends.

Key responsibilities for this position include:
* Repair or maintain the operating condition of the equipment used in production and packaging of a dairy product
* Align, fit, or assemble component parts and hardware, using hand or power tools
* Observe and test the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters or other testing devices
* Preform preventive maintenance functions such as cleaning, lubricating, adjusting, or replacing parts as needed per scheduled maintenance
* Operate newly repaired equipment to verify adequacy or repairs
* Ability to read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, or technical orders to determine methods and sequence of assembly
* Test performance of electro-mechanical assemblies, using test instruments such as electronic voltmeters
* Operate, test, or maintain robotic equipment used in various areas of operation
* Ability to effectively communicate with operators, fellow maintenance staff, and supervision to perform required tasks
* Record parts or materials used and ordered or requisition new parts or materials as necessary using Inventory management software
Candidate must have the following attributes/skills; strong attention to detail and accuracy, personal qualities of tact and dependability, possess good manual dexterity, vision abilities (close, distance color and ability to focus ), able to push/pull/lift and carry at least 50 pounds occasionally and 100 pounds with assistance, be able to stand for entire shift, be able to perform repetitive movements (e.g. twisting, gripping, lifting, bending, reaching, climbing) and must be able to work over 40 hours per week (weekends are required).

Sign On Bonus & Pay: We are offering a $2,000* Hiring Bonus to new hires for hourly positions. *Bonus amount is a gross amount. $1,000 will be paid out in the paycheck following 90 days of active employment; an additional $1,000 will be paid out in the paycheck following 180 days of active employment. *Temporary, part-time and certain rehired employees are not eligible. *Attendance and performance rules apply.
Pay: $35.75 to $39.40/hr + $2.50/hr 3rd shift premium, dependent upon skills and experience. Weekend premium: 20% more ($7.15/hour to $7.88/hour).

The Division of Pediatric Ophthalmology, Strabismus, and Adult Motility at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh is comprised of 3 clinic locations and one administrative space, all working as a team to provide the highest level of care to patients and families through clinical expertise, research initiatives, and strong administrative support.

Purpose:
Responsible for evaluating and treating children and adults with ocular motility disorders. Working in a clinical setting to access patients with the use of retinoscopy, ocular motility and bi-nocular vision including but not limited to amblyopic, convergence insufficiency and accommodative esotropia. Familiar with sensorimotor evaluation and measurement for pre and post surgical strabismus and other complaints relating to other binocular function. The Certified Orthoptist performs a broad range of duties related to the delivery of care to adult and pediatric patients seen within the Department of Ophthalmology. Patient care includes visual acuity testing, ocular motility testing, patient medical history and instruction to patients and guardians. The Certified Orthoptist must also instruct Ophthalmology residents, fellows and Ophthalmic Medical Technicians with regard to patient testing, data, testing techniques and theory. The Certified Orthoptist must determine testing methods most suitable for a particular patient. Data derived from these procedures are presented to the staffing Ophthalmologist/Optometrist to determine diagnosis and treatment plans for the patient. The Certified Orthoptist is expected to participate as a member of the Ophthalmology staff with various tasks as assigned.
Responsibilities:

- Will work in a multi-specialty practice that will refer patients to the Orthoptist for sensorimotor evaluation and treatment as a physician extender.

- Advising patients with low vision on the use of magnification and other strategies, such as lighting, to maximize their vision maintaining involvement in departmental research projects, the collection of clinical data for audits and the establishment of relevant protocols.
/n
- Making a diagnosis and formulating a treatment plan, which might involve referral for surgery or the use of more conservative Orthoptic treatment, e.g. the use of a patch to treat a lazy eye; giving an explanation and full instructions to patients about the diagnosis and treatment program suggested.

- Undertaking general administrative duties relating to patient care as well as training students on placement and other health professionals, e.g. optometry students etc-

- Receiving patient referrals from the eye casualty and neurology departments, eye clinics, GPs, health visitors and community clinics; investigating patients clinically to assess their vision, eye position and eye movement, by observation and by the use of specialist equipment.

- The Orthoptist sees patients at the same site as the supervising ophthalmologist, or at a satellite office. These patients may be referred to the Orthoptist for sensorimotor evaluations, management of amblyopia, convergence insufficiency, accommodative esotropia, and other non-surgical disorders of ocular motility and binocular vision from the supervising ophthalmologist's practice, or from the medical community. The Orthoptist is an employee of the hospital or clinic.

- Keeping up to date with current practices and recording work activities as part of continuing professional development (CPD).

- Work in conjunction with staff, residents, fellows to engage in group and/or indivuial training and educational needs of staff and students when needed; as well as monitors the timelines, accuracy and quality of images, reports and related work outputs

- The Orthoptist works side by side with the ophthalmologist as technical support for his/her clinics, performing the preliminary examination of each patient (which may or may not include cycloplegic retinoscopy) prior to the examination by the physician. The Orthoptist may also accompany the surgeon to the operating room and function as the scrub nurse or first assistant. Alternatively, the Orthoptist may see follow-up patients on her/his own schedule while the physician is in the operating room.

- Perform all responsibilities in a manor that demonstrates appropriate behavior toward staff, peers and other departmental personnel as defined in the UPMC/UPP job performance standards.

- There will be a research component in the job, and the successful candidate will work with the division chief to develop a programme of orthoptic and ophthalmic research

- Bachelor's Degree required (preference is for a degree in a medical field). (Foreign applicants require a degree that is comparable to the degree required for Orthoptist certification in the United States.)

- Graduates of accredited orthoptic schools in the United States seek to obtain national certification, granted by the American Orthoptic Council upon successful completion of both written and oral/practical board examinations. The American Orthoptic Council consists of representatives of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, the American Association of Certified Orthoptist, the American Ophthalmologic Society, and the Canadian Orthoptic Council. Orthoptist holding current certification or licensure in a foreign country may apply to the AOC for certification. Because Orthoptic education and practice varies outside of North America, foreign-trained Orthoptist may be encouraged or required to spend a period of time in an AOC-accredited Orthoptic program before making application to take the certification exams.

Chef De Cuisine
At our newest resort destination in Virginia, we’re not just opening a property—we’re creating an experience. We’re seeking a dynamic, hands-on Chef de Cuisine to play a key leadership role in launching and elevating our culinary program from day one. This is a rare opportunity to help shape the culture, standards, and guest experience of a brand-new resort.
As a leader in a new opening environment, the Chef de Cuisine will be instrumental in hiring, training, menu execution, and establishing best practices that set the tone for long-term success. This role leads with love by fostering a culture of respect, care, and accountability—developing people as passionately as menus, supporting team members through mentorship and feedback, and creating an environment where pride, collaboration, and excellence can thrive.

- Double Cut Steak House – Our signature steakhouse serving bold flavors.
- B-LUX Grill & Bar – Deliciously unique burgers and shakes handcrafted from scratch.
- Sortino’s Italian Kitchen – A modern elevated Italian restaurant and bar.
- Cinco Niños - A friendly Mexican outlet and tequila bar featuring sizzle and classic flavors
These positions are scheduled to begin in mid-August.
We’re taking our time to find the right chef—a visionary who leads with both creativity and humility. This process will include discovery calls, casual conversations, and in-person interviews as we get closer to launch.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute a menu that has been designed for you, from Kalahari corporate.
- Overseeing kitchen operations and ensuring cleanliness, consistency, and efficiency.
- Leading, training, and mentoring culinary staff, from prep cooks to sous chefs.
- Managing food costs, inventory, and vendor relationships.
- Executing memorable tableside presentations like Prime Rib Carving and Baked Alaska.
- Collaborating with leadership to ensure a seamless front-and-back-of-house experience.
What We’re Looking For
- At least 5 years of culinary leadership experience, preferably in a fine dining, steakhouse, or supper club environment.
- Passion for both traditional Midwestern flavors and modern culinary techniques.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Experience in cost control, purchasing, and kitchen labor management.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, and a genuine joy for creating exceptional guest experiences.
