Kodiak Labor Solutions, a Comfort Systems company, is partnering with HOWE, a respected mechanical contractor in Sioux Falls, SD, to hire an experienced Mechanical Project Manager.


Position Summary

The Mechanical Project Manager will lead commercial and industrial mechanical projects from preconstruction through closeout. This individual will oversee scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor coordination, procurement, and client communication to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

This is a high-visibility leadership role supporting a contractor with a strong regional reputation and steady backlog.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage mechanical construction projects from kickoff to completion
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and budgets
  • Coordinate closely with field leadership and subcontractors
  • Review drawings, specifications, and submittals
  • Lead owner and GC meetings
  • Manage RFIs, change orders, procurement, and billing
  • Track project costs and forecast financial performance
  • Ensure safety and quality standards are consistently upheld


Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Mechanical Project Management experience
  • Commercial and/or industrial HVAC, plumbing, or piping background
  • Strong budgeting and cost control experience
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong leadership presence and client communication skills

Experience:



• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.



• Must have at least 18 months of Telemetry Unit experience within the past 3 years.



• 3 months of experience with Meditech is preferred from any number of months.



Requirements:



• Candidates must have a South Dakota license or compact license (required for submission).



• This role will require floating to multiple units



• Local & travel allowed.

Shift & Scheduling: D/N, true rotating. Every other weekend



Floating Requirements: Travelers will float to Med/Surg/Peds. Travelers will only work with Peds patients if comfortable with that population



5 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 10/31/2026, 11/26/2026, 12/24/2026, 12/25/2026, 12/31/2026. Number of holidays allowed off: 1
