Summary:
This position is responsible for the operation of provider practices usually consisting of 2-4 providers with 6-10 FTEs or at two different sites. This role includes outpatient and inpatient clinical care, surgical assistance, perioperative management, and participation in on-call coverage. The PA will work closely with attending physicians, fellows, residents, medical students, and multidisciplinary teams.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Clinical Care:
- Obtain comprehensive medical histories and perform focused ophthalmic and periocular examinations
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage oculoplastic conditions in collaboration with supervising attendings
- Develop and implement treatment plans
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care
- Perform in-office procedures as credentialed and delegated
- Prescribe medications in accordance with state regulations and institutional policies
- Document patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
Surgical & Procedural Support:

- Ensure accurate operative documentation
Inpatient & On-Call Coverage:
- Participate in supervised on-call coverage, including nights, weekends, and holidays
