Job Summary:

The RF Microelectronics/Module Design & Foundry Services Department at Raytheon in Andover, MA, is currently seeking a Principal Electro-Mechanical Engineer to develop leading-edge miniaturized 3DHI sensors and systems to enable future generation technologies across Raytheon.

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated “self-starter” who will apply strong mechanical and electrical engineering skills to implement innovative solutions to challenging design criteria. They will be involved in research efforts including initial concepts, advanced technology demonstrations, and will have the opportunity to follow product development from beginning to end, including documentation, fabrication, assembly, and test/delivery of a range of microelectronics products. This position requires strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to maintain positive relationships & satisfaction with Program leadership (Engineering and Program Management). Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and materials and prior experience working with contract manufacturers (OSATs) is highly desired.

The role requires knowledge of high-density microelectronic packaging designs including Interposers, organic substrates, wafer and chip bumping and general knowledge in areas of electronic components/devices such as ASICs and FPGAs, design of electronic packaging chassis and structures, interconnects (connectors/cables), and thermal management design of high-density electronic systems and electronic enclosures. The successful candidate will have the ability to bring new and fresh ideas to the team, with opportunities to explore research and innovation areas in a collaborative and fun team environment. Additionally, the candidate is expected to follow established procedures in creation of technical data package work products, while working closely with program management and functional supervision to ensure the overall design objectives are met.

What You Will Do:

• Work with cross-functional hardware engineering teams to develop advanced microelectronics packages including 3DHI, 3D, and 2.5D (interposer + chiplets) and novel material and process solutions for RF, digital, mixed-signal, and photonics products
• Leverage industry-leading manufacturing and novel materials to achieve new levels of electro-mechanical performance and reliability

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) Field and a minimum of   Eight (8) or more years of relevant experience (An advanced STEM degree could count for 3 years of experience) with mechanical and electrical engineering design.
• Experience performing circuit layout design using 2D CAD tools
• The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer:

• A Master’s degree or PhD. in a Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) Field 
• Experience in RF circuit design, including 3D EM simulation in HFSS or similar tools
• Circuit layout design experience using 2D and 3D CAD tools (Cadence Virtuoso and/or Allegro/APD+)
• Experience and familiarity with selection and oversight for semiconductor wafer processing and finishing (plating, bumping, dicing)
• Design experience with 3D and 2.5D packaging, complex CAD/EDA software design workflows, and RF/Thermal/Digital co-design
• Experience qualifying and implementing cutting edge materials, fabrication techniques, and understanding of relevant materials used in semiconductor manufacturing and packaging
• Strong background in development, documentation, fabrication, assembly, and test/delivery of military/defense and/or commercial state-of-the-art electronic products
• Experience with designing electronics for extreme environmental requirements and design constraints

Mechanical engineers at L3Harris have the opportunity to engage in a wide variety of design activities over a broad range of aircraft (both fixed-wing and rotary-wing). Mechanical engineers are responsible for developing designs ranging from the integration of state-of-the-art airborne systems into special mission aircraft to developing specialized aircraft modifications. Lactalis American Group, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a 3rd shift Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician based in Belmont, Wisconsin. This position will require the ability to work in a team atmosphere as well as individually to repair, install, adjust, or maintain production and packaging equipment. This will also include equipment that is servo-mechanical as well as electro-mechanically operated. All work needs to be done in a clean sanitary manor as required in a food manufacturing plant. Candidates must be available to work weekends.

* Repair or maintain the operating condition of the equipment used in production and packaging of a dairy product

* Align, fit, or assemble component parts and hardware, using hand or power tools

* Observe and test the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters or other testing devices

* Preform preventive maintenance functions such as cleaning, lubricating, adjusting, or replacing parts as needed per scheduled maintenance

* Operate newly repaired equipment to verify adequacy or repairs

* Test performance of electro-mechanical assemblies, using test instruments such as electronic voltmeters

Lactalis American Group, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a 3rd shift Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician based in Belmont, Wisconsin. This position will require the ability to work in a team atmosphere as well as individually to repair, install, adjust, or maintain production and packaging equipment. This will also include equipment that is servo-mechanical as well as electro-mechanically operated. All work needs to be done in a clean sanitary manor as required in a food manufacturing plant. Candidates must be available to work weekends.

Key responsibilities for this position include:

* Repair or maintain the operating condition of the equipment used in production and packaging of a dairy product

* Align, fit, or assemble component parts and hardware, using hand or power tools

* Observe and test the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters or other testing devices

* Preform preventive maintenance functions such as cleaning, lubricating, adjusting, or replacing parts as needed per scheduled maintenance

* Operate newly repaired equipment to verify adequacy or repairs

* Ability to read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, or technical orders to determine methods and sequence of assembly

* Test performance of electro-mechanical assemblies, using test instruments such as electronic voltmeters

* Operate, test, or maintain robotic equipment used in various areas of operation

* Ability to effectively communicate with operators, fellow maintenance staff, and supervision to perform required tasks

* Record parts or materials used and ordered or requisition new parts or materials as necessary using Inventory management software

Candidate must have the following attributes/skills; strong attention to detail and accuracy, personal qualities of tact and dependability, possess good manual dexterity, vision abilities (close, distance color and ability to focus ), able to push/pull/lift and carry at least 50 pounds occasionally and 100 pounds with assistance, be able to stand for entire shift, be able to perform repetitive movements (e.g. twisting, gripping, lifting, bending, reaching, climbing) and must be able to work over 40 hours per week (weekends are required).

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:

Education

* High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED)

* Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Associate's Degree, Certificate or Apprenticeship, and/or equivalent experience

Experience

* Previous electro-mechanical experience making repairs and improvements in a manufacturing setting is required

* Previous experience in food or dairy manufacturing is preferred

* Stable and dependable work history is required

Specialized Knowledge

* Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology

* Mechanical knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance

* Knowledge of electronic equipment repair and PLC applications and programming

Skills/Abilities

* Troubleshooting, critical thinking, and complex problem solving is a priority

* Ability to perform routine maintenance on production and packaging equipment

* Ability to work in a food industry or manufacturing environment

Sign On Bonus & Pay: We are offering a $2,000* Hiring Bonus to new hires for hourly positions. *Bonus amount is a gross amount. $1,000 will be paid out in the paycheck following 90 days of active employment; an additional $1,000 will be paid out in the paycheck following 180 days of active employment. *Temporary, part-time and certain rehired employees are not eligible. *Attendance and performance rules apply.

Pay: $35.75 to $39.40/hr + $2.00/hr 2nd shift premium, dependent upon skills and experience. Weekend premium: 20% more ($7.15/hour to $7.88/hour).

Hours: 2nd shift: 1:00 PM to 9:15 PM

Electro-Mechanical Technician

The Electro-Mechanical Technician at Green Bay Packaging works in a fast-paced environment that oversees the installation and maintenance of our plant support systems and process machinery. This role will also be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our machinery and mechanical equipment, as well as installing new equipment, performing regular services, performing maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting equipment breakdowns. As an Electro-Mechanical Technician, you will use all the tools at your disposal to ensure the reliability of the industrial equipment and any associated support equipment. This will involve corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance techniques, as well as operational and design feedback for maintaining and improving all systems atGreen Bay Packaging facilities.

What Youll Do

• Maintain and install all electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Install new production support systems and process machinery

• Inspect and assess functionality of critical facility systems (HVAC, air compressors, and humidification systems)

• Communicate and schedule production impacts with the production team
• Fabricate parts for repairs and machine upgrades
• Read and interpret engineering blueprints and work instructions
• Prepare and submit maintenance reports
• Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
• Maintain tool accountability and comply with GMP standards
• Assist with general facilities and grounds maintenance

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate
• 3+ years of professional experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical, mechanical, fluid, or control systems

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Associate degree in ElectroMechanical Technology
• 4+ years of experience troubleshooting electrical control systems (Building automation, machinery, production automation)
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations
• Ability to record, report, and articulate the condition of equipment and recommended repairs or corrective actions
• Knowledge in the following areas: HVAC, electrical safety, pneumatic principles, tubing, pipe-fittings, rotating machinery (pumps, air compressors, etc.), machining, and welding
• PLC troubleshooting/programming capability
• Operational knowledge of multi-meters and operation of various hand tools and power tools
• Knowledge of high-pressure gas, flammable gas, refrigeration gases, and recovery
• Strong communication, organization, and computer skills
• Physically able to work on your feet, lift, and navigate tight machine spaces

Work Schedule

• Regular: Working Either 2nd Shift (2pm - 10pm Monday - Friday) OR 3rd Shift (Sunday - Thursday 10pm - 6am) after training
  • Training: Day shift (6am 2pm, MondayFriday) for up to 120 days
• Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Electro Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team. Key Responsibilities

• Assemble complex mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and specifications
• Interpret blueprints, BOMs, and assembly documentation
• Verify correct materials, hardware, and components prior to assembly
• Use hand tools, power tools, torque tools, pneumatic tools, and specialty fixtures appropriately
• Install various hardware types including fasteners, rivets, threaded inserts, pins, bushings, fittings, and mechanical components
• Apply proper assembly consumables (adhesives, sealants, thread lockers, lubricants, etc.) per specifications
• Perform in-process inspections and verify dimensional and visual quality requirements
• Maintain traceability and material verification in accordance with quality system requirements
• Document assembly steps and record required production data accurately
• Identify and escalate quality issues or discrepancies
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the production process

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in mechanical assembly (manufacturing environment preferred)
• Experience with complex, multi-component assemblies and sub-assemblies
• Strong understanding of mechanical hardware types and proper installation methods
• Knowledge of assembly tools including torque wrenches, drills, presses, and precision measuring tools
• Familiarity with assembly consumables and proper application techniques
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Experience working within a quality management system
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
• Ability to verify materials and components against documentation
• High mechanical aptitude

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace, industrial equipment, or precision manufacturing
