We are currently seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join a manufacturing facility in Muskegon, MI. This is a 2nd shift, direct hire opportunity offering competitive pay and long-term potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to all IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 work instructions and training
- Follow all job-related work instructions, safety procedures, and guidelines
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment
- Repair and rebuild electric motors (excluding stator and armature rewinding)
- Troubleshoot and repair:
- Induction furnaces
- Mold units
- Sand systems
- Hydraulic systems
- Shot-blasting equipment
- Associated production equipment
- Repair electric overhead cranes and hoists (electrical and mechanical; no welding)
- Repair low-voltage and voltage control systems up to 480V
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams
- Build conduit runs and lay out electrical cabinets
- Work with Allen Bradley/Rockwell software (RSLogix 5, RSLogix 500, RSLinx) and PLC-5 / SLC 500 hardware
- Enter and complete work orders using basic computer systems
- Obtain forklift, articulating boom lift, and scissor lift certifications
- Provide personal hand tools
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 years of manufacturing or industrial electrical experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- Journeyman status or equivalent practical experience preferred
- Strong experience with low-voltage and voltage controls up to 480V
- Understanding of PLC controls
- Knowledge of electronic instrumentation, including:
- Temperature controllers
- Chart recorders
- I/P and P/I converters
- Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
- Manufacturing environment experience required
