RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
/n• Full-time position with ASAP start required
/n• Must have pediatric cardiac experience with chest tubes, pacing wires, ventilators, and vasoactive infusions
/n• Required certifications: Current BLS (AHA only), ACLS (AHA only), and PALS (AHA only)
/n• Texas RN license or compact license required
/n• One year of critical care experience preferred but will accept new graduates
/n• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
/n• Must attend New Nurses Orientation within first 30 days of hire
/n• Complete designated organizational entry competency validation and Critical Care Department-specific competency validation
/n• Provide routine and complex nursing care using the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation
/n• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side-effects and treatment effectiveness
/n• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
/n• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
/n• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers
/n• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers
/n• Temporary to permanent position possible
