Assistssurgeons,anesthetistand registered nurses in the delivery of perioperative care to patients. Under the direction of the registered nurse, acts as a primary scrub person handling surgical instruments, equipment and supplies necessary during a procedure. 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Under the general direction of the Director and in accordance with standards of care and practice established by the Nursing Organization, the specific department; the rules, regulations and/or standards established by the State Board of Nursing, the Joint Commission for Accreditation of Health Care Organizations, Association of Operating Room Nurses (AORN), Association of Surgical Technologist and appropriate specialty organizations relevant to the patient population under care, the incumbent performs the following functions: 

1. Secures supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedure based on patient needs. 

1. Assistswith preparation of the cardiac operating room using sterile technique. 

1. Demonstrates knowledge of surgeons’ preferences and ability toanticipatesurgeons’ needs. 

1. Follows steps for scrubbing,gowningand gloving. 

1. Performs needle,spongeand instrument counts with the registered nurse. 

1. Creates andmaintainsa neat, organized sterile field. 

1. Ensures all equipment is functioning properly before use.

1. Follows proper technique for checking medications on the sterile field with the registered nurse and transferring the medication to the surgeon for administration during the procedure.

Follows up on active patients to ensure compliance with treatment plan. Calling no-shows, reviewing active patients weekly for compliance with treatment plan. Organizes biweekly case management meetings and acts upon identified case management needs.

Sets up referrals for diagnostic testing and to specialty physicians. Obtains test results and medical notes from referrals. Enters all referrals and other case management information into Systoc for tracking. Performs professional duties in a variety of environments to include clinic, hospital and onsite at companies. Manages patient flow according to schedule. Establishes good relationships with client companies and payers representatives assessing OHS’s fulfillment of obligations and service provisions. Develops tracking and reporting systems for clients. Communicates to employers/referral source in a professional, accurate and timely manner. Demonstrates knowledge of New Hampshire Workers’ Compensation laws. Track immunizations and lab results for physicals. Perform TB reads and coordinates necessary follow-up. Mails lab results to patients as necessary. Processes the results of physicals and pre-employment post offer screens. Ensures accuracy, completeness and transfer of appropriate information to employers. Ensures positive relationships with timely and appropriate communication to employers. We provide compassionate, high-quality care for cats, dogs, pocket pets, and
birds, with a strong emphasis on client education, clear communication, and
exceptional medical standards. We are now seeking an experienced Managing
Veterinarian to lead our dedicated team.

The Opportunity

As
Managing Veterinarian, you’ll continue doing what you love most: practicing
veterinary medicine and building meaningful relationships with patients and
clients. In addition, you’ll play a key leadership role by guiding medical
standards, mentoring veterinarians, and fostering a culture where both people
and pets thrive.

Job
Duties:

• 
  
• Provide medical
  leadership and oversight of the veterinary team
  
• Develop and
  uphold medical protocols and best practices
  
• Ensure
  regulatory compliance and high standards of care
  
• Mentor, coach,
  and inspire veterinarians and support staff
  
• Partner closely
  with the Hospital Manager on budgeting, financial performance, and
  operational improvements

Qualifications

• 
  
• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent
  
• A strong
  commitment to delivering exceptional, evidence-based veterinary medicine
  
• Proven ability
  to lead, delegate, and develop high-performing teams
  
• Excellent
  communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills

Compensation

• Base salary: $130,000–$175,000,
  commensurate with experience
  
• Additional
  production-based bonuses

and within easy driving distance of major metropolitan areas—making it an ideal
place to live and work.

*Relocation benefits are offered at NVA GP’s discretion
and are available only for approved Managing Veterinarian roles within the
following states: OH, WV, PA, MD, NJ, NY, MA, RI, CT, VT, NH, ME. Eligibility
is dependent on distance moved, business need, and final approval from Talent
Acquisition. Payment amounts and criteria may vary by role and are subject to
change at any time.

Relocation benefits are not available for local moves
(e.g., short-distance moves within the same metro area). NVA GP reserves the
right to determine whether a move qualifies as “relocation” based on mileage
