About the Role
This role is the digital owner of assigned marketplace channels, with primary responsibility for Walmart (1P and 3P/WFS) and Amazon Vendor Central Canada. You will own how products are assorted, priced, merchandised, and scaled, with clear accountability for revenue growth, inventory health, and profitability.
This is not a logistics or order-entry role. Success requires a strong analytical and commercial mindset, with a clear understanding of how program selection, fees, funding, and pricing decisions directly impact margin. As the business evolves, this role may take on additional marketplace accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Marketplace Business Ownership
- Own day-to-day performance and growth strategy for Walmart and Amazon Canada marketplaces
- Drive revenue, conversion, and digital shelf visibility across priority SKUs
- Build strong merchant and platform relationships to support promotional and growth initiatives
Assortment, Pricing & Margin Management
- Own marketplace assortment planning, determining which SKUs to list, scale, suppress, or exit

You spend time with each team member in 1:1s, discussing their career goals and providing feedback on recent deliverables. You review a promotion document for one of your high performers.
You present quality trends to the US Urban leadership team, recommending investment in automated quality checks that will reduce defects by 30% while cutting manual review costs. You secure commitment and budget to proceed.

This role is critical as US Urban Hub Delivery expands from dozens to hundreds of delivery partners. You will define what quality excellence looks like for a partner-based delivery model, build scalable mechanisms to measure and improve performance, and develop a team capable of supporting rapid growth. The ideal candidate combines proven people leadership with deep expertise in logistics quality, partner management, or marketplace operations. - Knowledge of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations and import/export procedures
- Experience with Harmonized System (HS) classification and tariff determination
- Knowledge of customs documentation requirements including commercial invoices, bills of lading, and entry documentation
- Experience coordinating with customs authorities and managing regulatory compliance processes
- Experience developing and implementing operational processes or standard operating procedures- Licensed customs broker
- Experience working directly in customer implementations
- Experience analyzing metrics to drive business improvements
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) designation
- 6+ years of experience in customs brokerage or trade compliance operations
- Experience with customs compliance software systems (e.g., ACE, ABI, trade management platforms)
- Experience training clients or internal teams on customs procedures and regulatory requirements
- Knowledge of international trade agreements (USMCA, FTAs) and their application to customs operations
