This position is full-time (80 hours bi-weekly) day/evening shift rotation. Every fourth weekend required and holidays as required.

As an Inpatient Pharmacist you will:

• Review and interpret provider orders and dispense medication
• Evaluate drug efficacy and review for contraindications/precautions

• Clarify and resolve questioned orders with providers prior to dispensing initial doses.
• Manage specific medication therapies per approved policies (e.g., warfarin, aminoglycosides, vancomycin, IV to PO conversions, renal dose adjustments, indication-directed dose adjustments, selection of surgical prophylaxis medications)
• Provide drug information to allied healthcare professionals.
• Coordinate and supervise work-place activities
• Assume responsibility of the satellite pharmacies including the sterile product processing in the IV Admixture Service lab and OR pharmacy

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy or PharmD degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy required
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred but not required
• Current licensure (or eligible to reciprocate) in the State of Delaware

JOB DESCRIPTION: PHARMACY CLERK

Description of Responsibilities

The Pharmacy Clerk assists the Pharmacy Department and staff through a variety of duties including but not limited to clerical, customer service and inventory management.

Responsibilities Include the Following:

1. Clerical and administrative tasks such as answering phones, customer service, data entry.

2. Reviewing compounding sheets

3. Gathering necessary supplies and products to assist with fulfillment of orders.

4. Labeling finished product for pharmacist to check.

5. Maintains work areas and performs continual inventory to help maintain adequate stock.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Organizational skills sufficient to maintain consistently accurate records.

2. Ability to evaluate options and to make efficient decisions.

3. Computer skills that include proficiency with spreadsheets, word processing, and efficient use of the internet and e-mail.

4. Ability to use good judgment and work with minimal direction.

5. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to express technical issues in “layman” terms.

Education and/or Experience:

• Must have a High School diploma or Graduation Equivalent Diploma (G.E.D.) or Higher.
• Minimum of 1 year retail pharmacy experience preferred
• Home Infusion Experience preferred.
• Pharmacy Tech license is a plus but not required.

Providing Sterile Compounding Training. Experience in USP compounding is preferred, but experience in aseptic training for 503b or aseptic drug manufacturing could be sufficient.

Summary:

Responsible for the management and direct supervision of all manufacturing at the plant to execute safely, right first time quality, service for our customers efficiently each and every day. Manage the operational and personnel decisions related to staffing production lines, compounding support as well as receiving warehouse activities. Direct and coordinate training across all teams to comply cGMP standards as an FDC regulated operation. Indirectly manage a staff of 400+ employees in the areas of Production, Compounding, Receiving Warehouse; supervise staff and ensure company safety procedures, personnel policies, and administrative procedures are successfully implemented and adhered while integrating a robust culture toward continuous improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the Quality Control of all products produced; oversees production line inspection at periodic intervals.
• Directs all phases of Receiving Warehouse; directly supervises the SR Warehouse Supervisor; either directly or indirectly through Shift Supervisors, oversees production teams of both Consumer Product Partners full-time associates and temporary associates.
• Coordinate daily with temporary employee agencies and schedules the temporary support as required.
• Facilitate daily production meetings; Tier 2 and Tier 3 communication meeting; prepare operational schedules and coordinate manufacturing activities; assure all components are available, make necessary changes in the event of a breakdown in component delivery; resolve production schedules and problems.
• Hire, supervise, and direct production personnel; optimize employee productivity, set priorities, design workflow, communicate objectives, and monitor performance.
• Develop or revise standard operating procedures, safety, housekeeping, and personnel policies; observe workers to ensure compliance with standards.
• Review new products; plan production operations; set standards for new packaging; establish priority and sequence for manufacturing products, utilizing knowledge of production processes and methods.
• Responsible for monitoring and directing expenditures for three cost center budgets (production, compounding, receiving warehouse).
• Insure proper processing, handling and storage of hazardous, flammable material such as flammable chemicals, etc. in accordance with local, state and federal guidelines.
• Performs numerous administrative and computer tasks; Analyses work output, computes efficiencies and costs; prepares reports and documentation for Human Resources related to production bonuses and awards, performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
• Must be a team player with proven skills.

Bachelor’s Degree with courses in manufacturing, operations, material handling and finance.

Experience Requirements:

Minimum of 10 years production management. Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.

To operate line/machine or inspect/pack finished good parts in a quality and timely manner. Performs miscellaneous duties at supervisor’s or team lead’s request.

Summary:

The Director Pharmacy manages the medication use process in collaboration with the Medical Staff and Nursing Services by organizing the processes and functions of the Pharmacy Department efficiently, economically, and professionally in accordance with Hospital and Departmental policy and applicable federal and state legal requirements. This job fosters the development of Pharmaceutical Care through process improvement of distributive and clinical pharmacy services. Assists in the leadership of the pharmacy department through the development and implementation of plans and goals that are in accordance with CSFCH goals and CHRISTUS Christian philosophy and values. Responsible for the cost-effective management of SFCH resources through prudent inventory and supply control and personnel utilization, while maintaining quality service and patient care. Ensures that all federal and state laws, rules and regulations, hospital/departmental policies, and procedures are followed in all aspects of drug distribution. Provides support to the staff in solving problems. Promotes motivation, teamwork, and productivity. Providing services to patients of all ages at a high competency level.

Responsibilities:
