Now, a little about you:

  • Smart, energetic, savvy Senior Account Executive with sophisticated media relations expertise and digital chops looking to join one of the most dynamic comms practices in the country
  • 3-6 years’ experience working at a PR agency and/or an in-house communications team
  • A background in music, entertainment, event and activation management focused in the lifestyle sector
  • Experience developing media strategies and PR plans
  • Skilled writer with a portfolio of successful pitches
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, both collaboratively and independently
  • Can deliver excellent client service, being a reliable point of contact for both the client, teams and media
  • Able to foster new and significant media and industry relationships
  • Understands influencer landscape for paid and earned campaigns
  • Provide training and guidance to junior team members
  • Has a strong attention to detail to oversee account administration, i.e., reporting, inventory and list management
  • Candidates fluent in Spanish are preferred


The salary range for this role is commensurate with experience: $65k - $80k.

Who We Need

HANGARFOUR, a creative service agency, seeks an energetic Account Executive to join our team. You will work closely with the Account Services and other teams to manage projects both internally and across a variety accounts, so you must be a collaborator, team-oriented, and passionate. This role sits within the Account Services team and reports to the VP, Account Services.


Who We Are

We are a creative agency called HangarFour within a big PR firm called DKC. But who we actually are is a scrappy, close-knit crew of multi-talented creatives who play a variety of roles. Job duties include:

Β· Project management of DKC & HangarFour integrated and creative projects, including setting timelines, managing feedback with designers and communicating & coordinating between internal teams.

Β· Writing creative briefs and participating in creative briefings, seeing projects through from production to final delivery of the creative.

Β· Working alongside account and creative counterparts to manage website development process and ongoing website CMS updates and maintenance.

Β· Prioritizing daily/weekly workflow, with an understanding of how projects fit into larger objectives and account deliverables.

Β· Assisting with budget management and client billing to ensure all projects are invoiced accurately and timely.

Β· Working alongside and supporting account team to assist in day-to-day management of accounts. Tasks include: scheduling meetings, organizing meetings agendas and notes, briefing creative projects, providing timelines and status updates to internal teams and clients, and managing deadlines

Β· Overseeing vendors to manage all estimates for printing, collateral and other forms of production.


Skills and experience required:

Β· Candidates must have a 4-year degree, and at least 4 years of marketing or advertising agency experience in a project management or account services role. Experience managing creative projects is essential!

Β· Additional experience managing digital and web projects and proficiency in WordPress is preferred

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism, or a related field preferred
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in a PR agency or in-house communications role, with a focus on consumer brands
  • Familiarity with talent, pop culture, cultural moments, and social trends
  • Experience with event logistics and execution
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment … skilled at time management / handling multiple projects and deadlines
  • Comfortable participating in internal team and client meetings/calls


Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with team members to execute strategic communications programs and effectively report results
  • Draft quality press materials including media alerts, press releases, and briefing documents
  • Build and maintain curated media lists
  • Coordinate and schedule internal and client calls/meetings
  • Handle client reporting -- from agendas to coverage reports
  • Work with Office Services on creative mailers and product sample inventory/shipments
  • Pitch media and secure coverage across print, digital, broadcast, and influencer channels for campaigns, product launches and events
  • Build and maintain relationships with media and influencers
  • Maintain a finger on the pulse; deliver always-on creative thinking across potential client collaborations, stunts, social opportunities and trendjacking


DKC operates on a hybrid weekly schedule (3 days in-office / 2 days WFH).


The salary range for this role is commensurate with experience: $50k - $62k.
