RESPONSIBILITIES:
Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specification.
Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as gas metal arc (GMAW), flux-cored arc (FCAW), shielded metal arc (SMAW), oxy-acetylene (OAW).
Operate manual or semi-automatic flame cutting equipment.
Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears and other metal straightening and bending machines.
May cut metal plates or structural shapes. EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE:
Must have a basic understanding of computers.

As a CNC Machinist 1 at MKS Instruments, you will Operate CNC lathe equipment to produce parts of which must meet the dimensional specifications. Operator will be responsible for the machining, cleaning, and inspection of his or her own work. In this role, you will report to the Manufacturing Specialist.

- Ensure correct machine operation (change inserts, tool holders, skim jaws, etc.)

Compensation and Benefits:
Pay Range: $15.28-28.38 per hour. The Fabrication Welding Technician is responsible for a variety or welding duties, including performing multiple welding processes, including fusion welding, on both, ferrous and non-ferrous metals, layout and fabrication of precision weldments from blueprints utilizing industry standard fabrication methods; meeting demands and completing work orders in a timely manner; ensuring availability and functioning of required items; and ensuring safety and resolving immediate safety concerns. Qualifications

Optimize tooling for improved production rate, reduced scrap, and extended tool life.

Support APQP, PPAP, and launch activities for new programs.

Cometic Gasket, Inc., is a leading worldwide supplier of gaskets and engine sealing solutions for Automotive Performance, Powersports, Original Equipment and Remanufactured Engine Industries. We are currently seeking an individual, Tool and Die Maker, for our expanding Tool Room.
Our Tool Room consists of standard Tool Room machines, along with VMC’s and Tool and Die Makers at Cometic Gasket are responsible for building and repairing our progressive and single hit metal stamping dies and the safe & successful operation of all production tooling.
A successful candidate shall have several years of experience working with tight tolerance progressive dies in a medium to long run stamping environment on up to 200-ton presses.
Responsibilities:
· Machining of die sets, die sections, and tooling components
· Build/repair progressive, single hit dies, jigs and fixtures
· Plan and perform bench and machine operations for tooling
· Fit and assemble sections and components for dies, jigs and fixtures
· Continuous improvement of tooling
Experience:
· Tool and Die: 4 years State Certified or 6 years of documented tool room exp.
· Trouble Shooting: 2 years exp. Min.
· Previous experience in tooling and manufacturing
· Previous experience in working with progressive and pierce/blank dies
· Knowledge of basic TR equipment and machinery
· Prior CNC and Wire EDM experience is a plus.
· Excellent attendance is required.
· High school degree or equivalent
· Journeyman State Certification or 6 years in building and repairing metal stamping dies

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Control Inspector focused on Video & Audio systems. This hands-on role is critical in ensuring the quality and reliability of our Pro AV products, directly contributing to our reputation for excellence. The QC Technician will work closely with the Engineering and Production Departments to verify product integrity and ensure adherence to specifications before release and shipment. A key responsibility of this role is the inspection of incoming raw materials using industry-standard tools. This is a hands-on position. This is NOT a remote or hybrid position.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret basic engineering drawings for mechanical components and cable assemblies to verify compliance with specifications.
- Perform receiving inspection and/or product-level inspection to determine material conformance.
- Use basic measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, microscopes, etc.) to verify dimensional and visual requirements.
- Perform inspection of electronic assemblies and cable assemblies for workmanship and labeling accuracy.
- Identify and document nonconforming material.
- Process nonconformance records in QT9, including data entry and supporting documentation.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and ensure proper material status identification.
- Communicate inspection findings to QC Manager and internal departments as required.
- Assist with sorting, rework verification, and containment activities when needed.
- Support organization and maintenance of inspection areas and documentation.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 2 years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
- Basic understanding of electronic or electro-mechanical assemblies is a plus.
- Experience working within a documented quality system (ISO 9001 preferred).
- Familiarity with inspection tools and measuring equipment.
- Experience entering data into ERP or quality management systems is a plus.
Skills & Abilities
- Strong attention to detail and disciplined inspection habits.
- Ability to follow written procedures and work instructions accurately.
- Comfortable inspecting small components and assemblies under magnification.
