Data Engineer | Leading Global Market Maker | NYC
We're hiring a Data Engineer on behalf of one of the world's most respected proprietary trading and market-making firms — known for its rigorous, intellectually driven culture and best-in-class technology infrastructure.
This is a rare opportunity to work at the intersection of high-performance data systems and financial markets, building the pipelines and platforms that power critical trading and research workflows.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Designing and maintaining large-scale data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows
- Building reliable, low-latency data infrastructure to support trading, research, and risk systems
- Collaborating closely with quants, traders, and engineers to ensure clean, accessible, and timely data
- Improving data quality, observability, and governance across the stack
What They're Looking For:
- Strong foundation in data engineering — Python, SQL, and distributed systems
- Experience with large-scale data platforms (Spark, Kafka, Airflow, or similar)
- Comfort in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment
- Financial services or trading firm experience a plus, but not required
- Degree in CS, Engineering, Math, or a related quantitative field
NYC Only. No C2C.
