When issues and transactions are complex in nature, perform such duties under the direct supervision of the Vice President, Financial Reporting by performing technical research, formulating initial conclusions and drafting written communication of the issues, research performed, and conclusions reached.
Participates in the operationalization of recently issued accounting guidance by working with senior leaders of functional areas impacted (Marketing and Sales, Operations, Mortgage Bank, Treasury) to interpret its requirements and ensure compliance while minimizing disruption of day to day operations.
Stays abreast of existing and emerging financial accounting and reporting principles, assessing their applicability to MVW and proactively advising the Vice President, Financial Reporting, and other stakeholders as necessary.
Provides recommendations as to proposed accounting treatment supported by authoritative accounting guidance.
Contributes to the development of discipline and enterprise policies that facilitate a strong internal control environment.
Ensures that senior management is updated on current / pending changes to accounting policies.

5+ years of experience in FPGA-based digital design, with a strong emphasis on real-time signal processing and communication systems.
Proven expertise in RTL design (Verilog/SystemVerilog) for high-throughput, low-latency digital receivers.
Experience with high-speed memory interfaces, particularly DDR/DDR3/DDR4, including controller integration, timing constraints, and performance tuning.
Proficient in integrating and validating high-speed serial interfaces such as LVDS, SPI, I2C, UART, and SERDES-based links (e.g., JESD204, PCIe, Ethernet).
Skilled in FPGA synthesis, timing closure, and resource optimization on platforms such as Xilinx or Intel/Altera.
Proficiency with simulation and verification tools (e.g., ModelSim, Questa, Vivado, VUnit) and scripting languages (Python, Tcl).
Deep understanding of digital signal processing (DSP) principles, including filtering, correlation, decimation, and fixed-point arithmetic.
Experience developing packet decoders for wireless communication protocols (e.g., BLE, ZigBee, LoRa, custom PHYs).
Ability to work closely with RF engineers, firmware developers, and systems engineers to integrate and validate end-to-end communication chains.
Demonstrated ability to work in a highly cross-functional role.
Ability to work independently.

In this role you will review the work of other BAS contractors providing QA/QC support, while also providing BAS expertise and opinions to the customer directly.
This is a client facing role that requires significant client interaction and the coordination and management of both internal and external resources to deliver on deadlines as well as project and financial expectations.
This position is located ON-SITE with our customer in Arlington, VA.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver quality work via Commissioning / Emulation, Testing, and Simulation, as well as direct oversight and inspection of systems design, installation, and programming.
Be the go-to person on-site for the operation and maintenance of the BAS system for the client.
Maintain and improve client relationships with all engineering disciplines and identify and develop new business opportunities.
Ensure Building Automation Systems are optimized and ready to meet the mission of controlling and monitoring all the points without alarms and overrides.
Update programming on graphical displays and other computer based interfaces for control systems.
Minimum Qualifications: Must have a High School Diploma and at least 8 years of experience with BACnet, LON, MODBUS or other related HVAC or industrial automation, programming, or installation experience may be substituted based on your skillset; or a combination of a college degree and directly relevant BAS experience.
Requires at least 4 years of experience with field installation, maintenance or programming BAS such as Metasys™, DisTech™, Niagara™, or similar building automation system.
Must have knowledge of Automation Networks such as BACnet, LON, MODBUS, and others and specifically Industrial/Automation IP networking.
This role requires that you know how to get a laptop plugged into and connected to appropriate controllers.
Requires proficiency in configuring, maintaining and calibrating Building Automation technology components, and connectivity.
Citizenship/Clearance Requirements: Must be a U.S.
Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain up to a Top Secret clearance due to our customer requirements and the nature of the work that we do.
Preferred Qualifications: An Active Secret or higher Security Clearance.
OSHA 30 hour certificate.
Experience with Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI).
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or another related discipline or a 2-year associates degree in BAS, HVAC Controls, or HVAC engineering technologies.
Physical Considerations: Must be able to walk construction sites with uneven surfaces, carry up to 25 lbs., climb stairs and ladders, and work both indoors and outdoors in severe weather conditions, in confined spaces, and in dust generating environments.
Must be able to maintain spatial awareness and comply with safety standards while working near mechanical and electrical building equipment and systems.
Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
