Job Summary
Reporting to the Trade Operations Leader, the Trade Compliance Associate supports the execution of international trade compliance activities to help ensure HellermannTyton North America operates in accordance with U.S. Customs and applicable foreign trade regulations. This position provides day-to-day operational and compliance support for import and export processes, including reviewing entry documentation, maintaining HTS classifications and Country of Origin (COO) data, and administering free trade agreement programs such as USMCA. The role assists with vendor solicitation and collection of COO and HTS certifications, maintains required trade documentation, and supports accurate duty application and trade remedy tracking. This will be achieved while maintaining HellermannTyton's Quality and EHS certifications by supporting all corporate policies, procedures, work instructions, and required documentation.
The Trade Compliance Associate is responsible for maintaining organized and accurate trade records, updating internal databases, and ensuring activities align with established corporate policies, departmental procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Essential Functions:
- Prepare and issue Free Trade Agreement (FTA) certificates, including USMCA, and other required trade program declarations for customers and affiliated entities.
- Perform FTA qualification analyses for manufactured and resale products in accordance with applicable U.S. trade agreement rules.
- Review and audit import entry documentation to ensure accurate HTS classification, Country of Origin (COO), trade remedy applicability (e.g., Section 232/301, IEEPA), and proper duty assessment.
- Assign and maintain product trade classifications, including HTS, ECCN, Schedule B, COO, and applicable preference criteria, with supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, manufacturers, and customs brokers to obtain and validate required classification and origin data.
- Maintain and update the internal trade compliance database to ensure accurate import and export classification records.
- Administer the annual supplier solicitation process for trade certifications covering purchased materials, components, and resale products.
- File Electronic Export Information (EEI) through AES and maintain ITN documentation for U.S. export shipments.
- Conduct restricted party screening and escalate potential matches in accordance with U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
- Maintain trade compliance records in accordance with 15 CFR, 19 CFR, and company retention policies to support audit readiness.
- Support the enhancement and maintenance of HellermannTyton' s trade compliance recordkeeping practices in accordance with 15 CFR, 19 CFR, and applicable GAAP requirements.

Success in this role with require:
- Working knowledge of Free Trade Agreements (including USMCA) and domestic trade programs, with an understanding of their commercial and compliance impact.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify root causes and assess downstream impacts of changes in trade data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to analyze data and summarize findings clearly and accurately.
- Understanding of Regional Value Content (RVC) methodologies and qualification requirements under U.S. Free Trade Agreements.
- Ability to assign and interpret trade classifications, including HTS, ECCN, Schedule B, Country of Origin, and applicable preference criteria.
- Knowledge of supplier FTA certification solicitation and documentation processes for manufactured and resale products.
- Familiarity with U.S. export documentation requirements and procedures for transmitting export data to freight forwarders and customers.
- Understanding of restricted party screening requirements under U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
- Working knowledge of trade compliance recordkeeping requirements under 15 CFR, 19 CFR, and applicable GAAP standards.
- Demonstrated initiative with a continuous improvement mindset and commitment to trade compliance best practices.

- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Trade Compliance, International Transportation, or Logistics, with demonstrated exposure to import and export compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in AES Direct and ACE systems.
- Working knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and global transportation practices.
- Experience with ERP systems; JD Edwards preferred.
- Familiarity with international shipping documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, air waybills, HTS classification, Country of Origin, customs valuation, and export classification requirements.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating initiative and accountability in completing assigned tasks.
- Spanish language proficiency is a plus

The Trade Manager for our Foodservice business at Lactalis Midwest Yogurt, Inc. (Yoplait, GoGurt, Oui, Ratio, Mountain High) is the financial engine behind our entire Foodservice commercial operation. This leader is responsible for the overall strategic design, financial modeling, governance, and control of all trade promotional funding and spending across every Foodservice channel of business. This includes managing trade spend for National Broadliners (e.g., Sysco, US Foods), National Chains, Power Regional Distributors, Buying Groups (UniPro), FMCs/GPOs, and all highly regulated channels (WIC, K-12). In this role you will be the senior authority responsible for overseeing the company’s global import, export, and sanctions compliance programs. This role defines and executes enterprise trade compliance strategy, ensures adherence to U.S. and international trade regulations, and partners with executive leadership to mitigate regulatory risk while enabling efficient global commerce.
The Director leads a global or multi-regional team of trade professionals, governs compliance frameworks and internal controls, drives digital and systems transformation, and serves as the primary liaison with government agencies and regulators.

As the Director of Strategic Trade Compliance, you will have the following key responsibilities:
Strategy, Leadership & Governance
- Define and execute the global trade compliance strategy across import, export, and sanctions.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, delivering insights on trade risk, regulatory changes, and cost optimization.
- Lead, develop, and scale a global or regional team of trade compliance professionals.

Trade Operations Specialist - Boston, MA
We are seeking candidates for a Trade Operations Specialist position with a leading financial services firm based in Boston, MA. This role will be responsible for ensuring that all trade entries into the accounting system are processed accurately and in a timely manner, while also supporting day-to-day securities processing and operational activities across the firm’s business lines.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of operations experience within the financial services industry, along with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage processes in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

We are seeking a International Trade Compliance Specialist for First Quality Consumer Products located in McElhattan, PA.
This position will ensure that the company’s import and export activities comply with all applicable U.S. and international trade laws including, EAR, ITAR, OFAC, and partner government agency requirements. Responsible for managing all aspects of global logistics, customs compliance, documentation, financial impacts, and risks for raw materials, machinery, components, and finished goods. This role is crucial for ensuring timely delivery, minimizing delays, and maintaining compliance with global trade regulations.
Principal Accountabilities/ Responsibilities:
- Manage the import and export process of raw materials, machinery, parts, and finished goods aligned with production schedules.
- Ensure compliance with all international trade regulations, U.S. and foreign customs laws, and manufacturing-specific import/export requirements.
- Prepare, verify, and maintain shipping and customs documentation, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
- Work closely with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and 3PL partners to coordinate timely and cost-effective global shipments.
- Collaborate with internal teams—procurement, production, quality, warehousing, legal, and product development to assess trade compliance implications of new products or markets —to align logistics with supply chain needs.

Education and experience requirements:

Reporting to the VP, Brand Integrity, Ethics and Investigations, the Senior Counsel, International Trade Compliance is an experienced compliance lawyer responsible for advancing and managing the Company’s economic sanctions, customs, and export controls compliance programs and enabling compliance with ever-changing and complex global requirements. Such individual is responsible for continually assessing the Company’s sanctions and export compliance risk and in conjunction with other key stakeholders updating, designing and implementing appropriate controls to mitigate such risks.
The individual will have extensive interaction with other members of the Legal Team, the Senior Leadership Team, business teams, as well as with numerous other internal organizations.
Responsibilities
The Senior Counsel, International Trade Compliance is responsible for serving as the internal subject matter expert on applicable global laws and regulations pertaining to economic sanctions, customs and export controls and their impact on the Company’s business (e.g., OFAC, ITAR, and EAR). Such individual is also responsible for developing, enhancing, and implementing the Company’s international trade and export compliance programs and associated procedures to enable compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Such duties will include the following:
- Identify and manage sanctions, customs, and export control compliance issues, escalate and remediate as appropriate;
- Advise the business on sanctions, customs, and export controls compliance, risks, and risk mitigation.
- Conduct sanctions, customs, and export compliance risk assessments and recommend changes to applicable policies and procedures;
- Lead trade and export compliance investigations and manage submissions and disclosures to governmental entities as required;
- Provide oversight to business units highly dependent upon trade, customs or export compliance programs (e.g., ITAR);
- Develop appropriate sanctions, trade and export compliance training for relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor proposed sanctions and export compliance laws and regulations and provide advice to business stakeholders regarding implications and requirements; and,
- Implement robust compliance tools (including policies, procedures, manuals and as appropriate IT solutions), to enhance the Company’s trade and export compliance controls, and otherwise support the Company’s Ethics and Compliance program and initiatives.
Qualifications
- JD from an accredited law school.
- Member in good standing of the bar of at least one U.S. state.
- A minimum of 5 years focusing on trade, customs and export compliance, sanctions, or related matters.
- A minimum of 7 to 10 years of professional experience assessing/investigating alleged or actual regulatory/legal or ethical concerns.

The Head of Trade & Customs Compliance is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing the movement of goods across international borders. You will design, implement, and lead a world-class trade compliance program that ensures our manufacturing operations remain seamless, legal, and cost-effective. As a strategic advisor to the executive team, you will navigate the complexities of global trade regulations (EAR, CTPAT, OFAC, Customs) while mitigating risks associated with our global supply chain.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive global trade compliance strategy that aligns with the company's manufacturing and expansion goals.
- Ensure total compliance with international regulations, including Import/Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and local Customs laws in all operating regions.
- Oversee the accurate assignment of Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) codes, Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCN), and country-of-origin determinations.
