Your Role:
The Human Resources Generalist I is a key member of the Human Resources team and provides essential administrative and operational support to the Department of Employee Services & Benefits. This role supports daily HR functions including employee documentation, onboarding, HRIS data entry, audits, and customer service. The ideal candidate is organized, bilingual, people-focused, and committed to supporting a positive and welcoming workplace culture.

What You’ll Do
- Provide administrative support to the Human Resources department, including scanning documents, answering phones, and responding to employee inquiries
- Prepare, process, and follow up on employment verifications, employee references, background checks, ID badges and control logs
- Complete end-of-employment documentation and closing processes
- Assist with audit preparation, tuition assistance requests, and employee data entry
- Maintain accurate employee records and documentation within the HRIS system
- Develop and submit HR reports and documents as requested
- Assist with and help facilitate new employee orientation
- Support departmental projects and special assignments
- Perform general administrative and clerical duties for the department
- Attend meetings, trainings, and professional development activities as requested
- Serve as a team player and contribute to a positive, supportive work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For:
- High School Diploma plus three (3) years of experience in a Human Resources setting, OR
- Associate degree (or equivalent 60 credits) in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or a closely related field one (1) year of administrative experience.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Positive, professional, and approachable demeanor
- A “people person” who enjoys working with others and is a good listener.
- Valid Driver's License
- Bilingual in Spanish and English (spoken and written) Highly Desirable
- Must successfully pass all required pre-employment screenings, including a drug screen.
Work Environment:

Starting Base Salary Range of $70,000 to $90,000 (DOE)

What You’ll Be Doing as a Compensation Program Specialist:
Provides day to day administration and support of employee compensation, recognition, and reward programs. Participates in the analysis of total rewards data and information and in the development of new programs and processes.
- Researches, analyzes, implements, and recommends changes to compensation programs and policies for base pay, incentive, recognition, and sales compensation. Monitors market trends and evaluates programs’ external competitiveness.
- Identifies appropriate compensation surveys, owns the participation and analysis of data. Conducts preliminary job matching, develops reports, and transfers data to surveys. Analyzes Company’s compensation position relative to market and recommends adjustments.
- Administers merit pay, spot award, and other recognition programs. Reviews and recommend award approvals, tracks and monitors spending against budget. Recommends improvements to these programs.
- Advises on and develops new job descriptions. Partners with hiring managers to develop compensation offers for new hires and promotions.
- Performs special compensation projects, management studies, and develops recommendations.
- Plans and coordinates annual and ad hoc compensation and recognition program communications.
- Oversees compensation information flow within Workday HRIS. Ensures accuracy of data, identifies discrepancies or problems, researches solutions, monitors workflows. Provides Workday training and support to others as needed.
- Evaluates jobs and determines proper placement in job structure. Manages job description inventory.
- Stays on top of new and existing regulation as it applies to compensation and recognition and recommends appropriate actions.
- Identifies and recommends process improvements to streamline related workflow.
- Supports total rewards function and company communications as needed.
Skills and Experience You’ll Need as a Compensation Program Specialist:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business or related field and 3-5 years of experience administering compensation and recognition programs. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Knowledge of compensation laws and regulations.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service orientation. Ability to partner with others and handle difficult interpersonal situations with tact.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
- Excellent accuracy and strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Use of basic inspection tools, including height stand, calipers, micrometers; comparator; Hexagon vision experience is a plus.
Experience fixturing and laying out part for dimensional readings.
Experience reading and deciphering blueprints, performing FAIR dimensional inspection reports.
Performs 1st article inspection on machined parts.
Performs in-process inspection, final inspection, and tool calibration as required to support the inspection department.
Maintain area neat and clean and adhere to all company safety rules and regulations.
Other duties are necessary to maintain the necessary levels of production.
Can work overtime as needed and weekends when needed.
Experience and Education Required
High School or Equivalent
Able to read, write, and comprehend the English language.
Blueprint reading
Basic Math / Geometry skills
Aerospace Experience is a plus.
Basic computer skills, including MS Office
Knowledge of various types of measuring instruments
Familiar with ANSI Y14.5 & ASME Y14.85
3-4 years of manufacturing or related experience
