Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Provide direct patient care in an 18-plus bed telemetry/progressive care unit
/n• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient care
/n• Coordinate patient care through collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams
/n• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians or standard protocols
/n• Provide clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel
/n• Identify and meet patient and family learning and discharge needs throughout episodes of care
/n• Must successfully pass a Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test administered onsite before starting assignment
/n• One opportunity to re-test if initial BCA test is failed; second failure results in contract cancellation
/n• Floating between departments and local locations within 20 miles is required
/n• Two years current experience required in 18-plus bed telemetry/progressive care unit
/n• Must have successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment
/n• Must be a team player, flexible, and accustomed to fast-paced environment
/n• Required certifications: New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License, BLS, ACLS
/n• BLS and ACLS must be completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross
/n• Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required
/n• Epic EMR experience preferred
/n• NIHSS certification preferred
